The document discusses the mystery and wonder of the incarnation - God becoming human in Jesus Christ. It provides several perspectives on the incarnation from Martin Luther, Michael Spencer, Billy Graham, Jonathan Edwards, and Bryant Wright. Edwards lists the paradoxes and wonders of an infinite, eternal God willingly suffering and dying at the hands of His own creation. Wright discusses Mary's courageous willingness to bear Jesus despite the risks to her as an unmarried pregnant woman. It concludes with a poem reflecting on the irrational and miraculous nature of God choosing to dwell among us as a human child.
This document contains multiple passages from the Bible and Ellen White discussing the universal human condition of sin. The key points are:
1) All people, both believers and non-believers, have sinned and fallen short of God's glory.
2) God gives people over to their sinful desires when they reject him. This results in societal problems like homosexuality, sexually transmitted diseases, and immorality.
3) The only hope for salvation is through having faith in Jesus' death on the cross to pay for sins. This faith leads to repentance from sin and a changed life.
The document discusses God's restraint and willingness to limit his own power and behavior out of love for humanity. It references biblical passages where God gives people the freedom to choose whether to follow and serve him. The conclusion encourages people to choose to say yes to God's offer of love, peace, and eternal life through accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior.
This document discusses the destructive nature of sin and the importance of taking sin seriously. It uses King David as an example of someone who acknowledged his sin and was miserable about it. The document warns against having a soft attitude about sin and developing sinful attitudes like thinking God owes us something. It encourages trusting God when he warns about the destruction of sin and establishing humility in repenting from sin.
Jesus tells a parable comparing a Pharisee and a tax collector who went to the temple to pray. The Pharisee boasts about his righteousness, while the tax collector humbly asks God for mercy. Jesus says the tax collector, not the Pharisee, went home right with God because he admitted his need. The document also lists ways to receive God's blessings, such as trusting in God, avoiding evil, giving generously, and following Jesus' teachings, even if it leads to persecution.

This message is Part 5 in the message series “AWAKENING” by Pastor Chuck Bernal. In this message titled, “Awakening To Regret”, Pastor Chuck talks about how we often live with the pain of guilt and regret - but that is never God's intention for us. Using Romans 5:12-17, he then talks about how we can experience God's amazing grace that is greater than all of our sin. This message was delivered at LifePointe Church in Crowley, TX on Sunday, May 21, 2017.
This document discusses how God uses difficulties and struggles to strengthen people's character. It provides examples of people like Helen Keller, John Milton, and Beethoven who overcame hardships like blindness and deafness to accomplish great things. The document encourages putting troubles in perspective by considering what others have endured, and trusting that God's timing is perfect even when problems seem overwhelming. It asserts that struggles shape people for blessings and that tribulations can lead to patience, experience, and hope according to scripture.
Obstacles are meant to be overcome, as God uses difficulties and struggles to strengthen our character. While troubles are not pleasant, they provide benefits by shaping us into better people. When facing trials, we should trust God and remember that he is greater than any challenge we face. Though troubles feel overwhelming, putting them in perspective by considering what others have endured can provide comfort. God's timing is perfect, and what seems like a curse may actually be a gift in disguise. With patience and faith, difficulties can produce hope and glory as God works through our struggles.

Elder Bednar teaches that we each carry individual loads in life composed of demands, opportunities, obligations, and afflictions. We should periodically assess if our loads are producing spiritual traction to help us progress on the path back to God. While loads are personalized, covenants can ease them, and it is through the Atonement that we can bear them. We learn that just as diamonds are strengthened through pressure, we are strengthened through our loads. We also have heavenly help through ministering angels and mortal friends who act as agents to help ease our burdens.
This document discusses the concept of sin and salvation through Jesus Christ. It states that all people sin and only Jesus can cleanse us and give us eternal life in Heaven. It describes how God sent Jesus to take our sins upon himself on the cross so that through faith in Him, we can be made right with God. It emphasizes that we must obey God and reject sin, trusting Him to help us resist evil desires and live according to His ways. The conclusion encourages reading the Bible for wisdom and surrendering to God's love.
Grace is a gift that teaches us to forgive others and not condemn them, even when we disagree or have conflicts. The document discusses how as Christians we are called to demonstrate grace rather than retaliation, and to resolve differences through love and respect. Quoting scripture, it emphasizes that through faith in Christ all people are equal and united as one. When we freely give grace to others without limits, we receive grace in return and it enables hearts and minds to come together to communicate through mutual love.
C.S. Lewis argues that people's desires are too weak, not too strong. People settle for temporary pleasures like food, drinking, and sex instead of accepting the infinite joy offered by God. Lewis compares people to ignorant children who want to play in the mud instead of enjoying a holiday at the sea, and says we are too easily satisfied.

This passage from Matthew discusses Jesus expanding on the commandments from the Old Testament. Jesus says that anger and insults can be just as sinful as murder, and that lustful thoughts are akin to adultery. He also addresses divorce and vows, taking a stricter view than previous teachings. The document provides commentary analyzing the cultural context of Jesus' teachings and how they can apply to modern understandings of relationships, shame, and grace.
The document discusses humanity's departure from God's plan through embracing sin and darkness over light. It argues that if Christians truly followed Jesus' two greatest commandments to love God and love their neighbors, the world would not be in its current state of evil, greed, corruption, and destruction. The document calls on Christians to change themselves first so they can help change the world by living according to God's directives of love, compassion, and coexistence.
The document discusses the teachings and character of the Prophet Muhammad based on quotes attributed to him. It describes him as a just, merciful, kind, and compassionate leader who taught his followers to show kindness to others regardless of social status and enact justice fairly. The Prophet promoted virtues like acquiring knowledge, speaking truth, avoiding envy, and maintaining peaceful relations between people.
He loves you ; He loathes your sins, but knowing that
you are dust, he loves your souls. . . . Think of
such love as this ! a God, your God, the only God, the
Lord of Heaven and Earth, yearning, dying in love for
such mean, such guilty, such wayward souls as ours ;
The passage describes Jesus teaching his disciples about forgiveness. When Peter asks how many times he must forgive someone, Jesus says forgiveness must be unlimited - up to "seventy times seven". Jesus then tells a parable about a servant who was forgiven a huge debt by his master but refused to forgive a fellow servant who owed him a small debt. The unforgiving servant was punished for his lack of mercy. Jesus' teachings emphasize that as those who have been forgiven much by God, his followers must in turn freely and generously forgive others.

Our gift and talents are for the glory of Godcmfindia
God has given each person different talents and abilities. The purpose of these gifts is for us to use them to praise and glorify God. On judgment day, God will expect us to give an account of how we used the gifts he gave us. Those who worked hard with their talents will be rewarded, while those who did nothing will face God's anger. We must use the strengths and resources God has provided to accomplish great things for him.
- Jonah ran away to avoid telling Nineveh about its impending destruction, showing his willingness to risk his life to save others.
- The sailors on the boat initially complained about their fate but then realized Hashem's greatness and feared Him after He calmed the storm by having Jonah thrown overboard.
- Jonah's time in the fish helped him realize the importance of teshuvah and fixing one's ways, just as Yom Kippur is about atoning for sins and improving ourselves.

Angels and demons- St Cyprian and St Justina,Copt4life
The document tells the story of Cyprian and Justina and their encounters with demons. It describes:
1) How Cyprian was originally a powerful sorcerer who learned magic from demons and could perform feats like controlling the weather. He taught others sorcery.
2) How he considered the devil a friend and saw his frightening appearance. However, after meeting Justina, whose prayers protected her from demons, Cyprian realized the demons' weakness.
3) How Cyprian and Justina converted to Christianity. Cyprian destroyed his books of magic and was ordained as a priest and bishop, completely transforming his life. Justina established a convent. Both were eventually martyred

Forgiveness is not a feeling, it is a decision. It is also not about forgetting or excusing the wrong that was committed. Forgiveness is a costly decision that flows from experiencing God's grace. Christians should be the most forgiving people as they are the most forgiven by God. When we forgive others, our heavenly Father will forgive us, but if we refuse to forgive, He will not forgive our own sins. We must get rid of bitterness and evil and instead be kind, tenderhearted, and forgiving towards others.

Sin is defined in three main views: (1) Biblical view that sin originated from humanity's free will to disobey God and was permitted by God for His glory, (2) Wrong views that see sin as inevitable, eternal, or that absolve God of responsibility, and (3) Common excuses that downplay sin such as seeing it as humanness, a disease, or ignorance. The document examines each of these views of sin and their implications to understand sin from a biblical perspective.

This Bible study discusses the importance of setting spiritual boundaries as a Christian. Some key points include:
- Boundaries serve to distinguish Christians from the world and help Christians emulate God rather than their natural fathers.
- Things that grieve God, like taking Him lightly, should also grieve Christians. This includes when others lie about God or when Christians' own thoughts and actions don't align with Him.
- Christians must be willing to take a stand for their faith, even if it brings rejection from others. Boundaries help communicate to the world that Christians are in the world but not of it.
This document discusses using God's law, specifically the Ten Commandments, as a tool for evangelism. It provides biblical support that the law exposes human sin and guilt before God. It then gives guidance on how to approach unbelievers by first using the law to bring awareness of their sin and guilt, followed by presenting the gospel message that Jesus paid the penalty for sin. The example of Jesus with the woman at the well is examined, noting He began with natural topics then brought conviction of her sin using God's law before revealing Himself. The goal is to bring humility through an understanding of sin and guilt under God's law in order to receive His grace through faith in Christ.
This document contains a message urging people to recognize that they are "gods of the Most High God" and to reject Satan's influence over the world. It claims that humanity has fallen from its original godly state due to Satan misleading people through lies like religions, holidays, and the idea that they are not gods. It encourages people to wake up, stop denying their true nature as gods, and come together to defeat Satan by living in godly love. The message asserts that by recognizing their divine status, people can change the world for the better and even achieve immortality. It portrays current society as oppressive and the cause of problems, urging readers to reject traditions and take control as gods to create a better future.
Although darkness and evil only existed as concepts in original consciousness, Lucifer believed that it had already manifested. God told Lucifer of evil, but Lucifer believed that it was real because it was a concept in his mind, so he manifested it and that’s our battle. God created us to do something but we're coming up with our own concepts so therefore we’re manifesting something against the sovereignty of God.
This document provides commentary on Isaiah 53:6 which states "We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all." The summary is:
1) It analyzes the verse in four parts - our departure from God, our individual paths of sin, the guilt we have all incurred, and God's provision of salvation through Jesus bearing our iniquities.
2) It discusses Jesus as bearing the sin of all mankind, and how his redemptive work provides forgiveness and salvation to all who accept him.
3) It examines the verse through the lenses of different biblical figures at the
Chapter 3 of Renovation of the Heart ClassCarlin Trammel
The chapter discusses the ruined state of the human soul apart from God. It argues that we are all corrupted by sin and in denial of our true condition. When God is denied, intellects become darkened and sensuality becomes the primary focus as we pursue fleeting pleasures. Our pride causes us to try and take God's place, leading to self-obsession. We are lost from God and unable to fulfill our purpose. Only by acknowledging our ruin can we find the path of spiritual transformation through Christ.
God created Adam and Eve but warned them not to eat from the tree of knowledge. Adam disobeyed and brought sin and spiritual death to humanity. The law shows us our sin, and the penalty for sin is death. But God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross and take the punishment for our sins, so that all who believe in him will have eternal life rather than eternal death.
Remorse is being sorry you got caught. Suppose you‘re driving fast and got caught by the police (because you broke the speed limit). You are remorseful because had you not got caught you would have kept driving fast. Repentance is being sorry enough to stop what you are doing and change your behavior.
This is a study of Jesus being Job's umpire. He was the mediator that Job needed and all of us need. He was the only one between God and man to bring them together.

Most people who have a hard time forgiving themselves are self-righteous. They make themselves right in every light and then come around finding wrong in everything. Some people are in such denial that when they hear something is wrong with them and get convicted, they go fix it because they don’t want to be associated with that. But whatever the case may be you are fixing yourself. You’re self righteous.
How Can a Loving God Condemn Anyone to Hell?Peter Hammond
The document discusses how Christians must be prepared to explain and defend their faith. It addresses common objections like how a loving God could send people to hell, and argues that while God is loving, he is also just and holy. It asserts that through nature and conscience, all people know something of God, yet due to human sin and depravity, no one fully lives up to the light they have been given. Special revelation through scripture is needed to understand both God's mercy and wrath. The document aims to thoughtfully respond to skeptics while upholding the holiness, justice, and wrath of God alongside his love and mercy.
A brief treatment on the reason for celebrating Advent; why Jesus Christ came into the world; what it means to be saved; how to become a Christian; by Todd Linn, PhD, preachingtruth.org
When there’s unforgiveness in your heart, what God does is He uses people to push your buttons. What those buttons are is the unforgiveness that’s in them, in you. The people that push your buttons and get on your everlasting nerves, what they make you sick about, is what you make God sick about.
This is a study of Jesus being right on time. He was late to see Lazarus before He died, but He was right on time to raise him from the dead. He was right on time in many situations.
Similar to The Cycle of Sin, Are You Stuck In It? (20)
This document discusses the concept of holiness from a Christian perspective. It argues that true holiness comes from understanding that one is already holy due to God's declaration, rather than through self-effort. It says holiness allows one to have clarity of purpose and withstand opposition. However, many have their own ideas of holiness rather than understanding God's perspective. True holiness requires obedience and suffering, but allows for joy regardless of circumstances. One must let go of their own ideas and submit to God's purpose to attain holiness.
The document discusses two high-ranking demons in the church: the religious demon and the vampire spirit. The religious demon's purpose is to absorb, kill, steal, and destroy, and it tries to institutionalize the church. It suppresses its true personality and pretends to be sincere. The religious spirit and vampire spirit feel constantly judged. The document encourages spiritual preparation and discernment of demons through Scripture.
“Everything is backed by a spirit. Everything is speaking the food you eat is a spirit, what you wear is a spirit). The food you eat, how you dress, all of it is a spirit.”
“Satan wants you to pretend like you’re saved so when true salvation shows up you won’t recognize it. He doesn't want you to know that even though you’re not saved, you’re on a journey to salvation. He wants you to get off the journey. He cares less about the salvation. You can church so much that you believe you’re saved and that’s what the churches want you to do. You can church so much that when salvation shows up, you won’t even recognize it.”
Being inconsistent can be the root of serious failure in many lives because of being away from God and His word. It most often does not start with serious offenses, but small things.
This document discusses the concept of divine favor and how it can impact a person's life. It notes that divine favor is a reward from God for acts of obedience and faithfulness. When divine favor is upon a person, they can experience influence among people, access to opportunities, exaltation, and new life. Divine favor is connected to a person's assignment from God, righteousness, wisdom, and being prepared to properly steward what God entrusts to them. Examples are given of people who wasted God's favor, such as Solomon and Hezekiah.
The document discusses the meaning and effects of division. It defines division as something that separates or divides. Division often arises from strife, disputes, or differing viewpoints among members of the church. A divisive person causes offenses and does not follow biblical teachings, seeking their own interests over unity. True reconciliation requires repentance, restoration of relationships, and humility in admitting wrongs rather than fighting accusations. Unity within the body of Christ is important, as division goes against God's purpose and character of order.
Christians are often accused of being hypocrites. However one should judge Christianity not on the basis of what fakers do, but on the basis of what Jesus taught and how He lived.”
This document discusses the differences between judgment and conviction. It explains that believers should judge disputes between believers and unrepentant sin or false doctrine, following biblical steps. However, believers should avoid judging others' motives or outward appearances. To avoid a judgmental spirit, one must be forgiving, generous, and a learner rather than a critic. Conviction of sin comes through the Holy Spirit and is necessary for repentance. True conviction illuminates sin for others and causes them discomfort around believers.
What is happening as a result of religion is a false authority coming from the pulpit to set the people under the authority of man and remove them from under the authority of God.
“All church is, is family. If you can’t create family out of the people you gather with it can’t be church. Jesus forgave, He doesn’t hold anything against you, He died for you. If you have all those things you will create a family and that’s what God wants back. Church is not a business or organization, it’s a family.”
“People ordained to do something for Jesus have no fixed salary, are not in denominational organizations, and they lay down their life because God has given them the sustaining power they need to not charge for the Gospel when they have the right to. Their dependency comes from the power of God not the number of people in the seats. They have the power to ask God to touch the hearts of the people to give and God will lay it upon the ears of the people.”
“Some of us add our own stipulations in worship. Some people worship and open their eyes an peak around. Some people worship and are uncomfortable because they think everybody is looking at them. They are worried about if their mascara is going to run or if they 're going to look ugly. But why are you concerned about who's looking you? This is not worshiping in spirit and in truth. When you do this you take the authority from Christ and give it to yourself. If you have to scream, scream, if you have to holler, holler, but if you are in worship and you are thinking about the game afterwards, what you want to eat, what you have to do afterwards, then you are not worshipping in spirit and in truth.”
Prophets will sometimes give you instructions on how to repent to God for Him to possibly relent. Where there is repentance there is hope. Sin brings judgment but God’s forgiveness brings rejoicing.
The document provides a summary of chapters 1-4 of the Book of Jonah and the entire Book of Obadiah from the Old Testament.
The Book of Jonah tells the story of Jonah disobeying God's command to preach to Nineveh and instead fleeing by boat. During the storm caused by his disobedience, Jonah is thrown overboard and swallowed by a large fish. After repenting, Jonah completes his mission and preaches to Nineveh, causing the entire city to repent. Jonah is angry that God spared Nineveh.
The Book of Obadiah concerns God's judgment of Edom for mistreating Israel when Jerusalem was attacked. Obadiah prophesied
“God chooses prophets from birth; there is no school of the prophets. If a person does go to school what are they appointed over? Prophets are given territories. If nobody appoints you over a territory, then you start working witchcraft.”
Prophetic teaching has a powerful anointing to break witchcraft, bondages, and strongholds over a church. Prophets are able to find the error in a church a break it into pieces by using the Word of God
The Book of Samuel is a book in the Hebrew Bible, found as two books in the Old Testament. The book is part of the Deuteronomistic history, a series of books that constitute a theological history of the Israelites and that aim to explain God's law for Israel under the guidance of the prophets.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

1. 11.18.10 I Am Global International Ministries The Cycle of Sin, Are You Stuck In It? “ Many don’t preach against sin because it will step on the toes of the people and the people will begin to walk out the door with their money.” “ In order for you to get down to truth, truth has to get naked.” Judges 2:18-19 “ The judge that God raises is with them and saves them out of the hand of their enemy. As long as the judge lived, God had compassion on them, but when the judge died the people returned to ways more corrupt than before.” “ The book of Judges is a book that teaches us how they became captive to the enemy and how they got out of bondage and in doing so teaches us how to break the cycle of sin.” “ Their time spent serving the Lord, was longer than their time in bondage.” “ Most men try and discipline with no sacrifice thinking that is the qualifications of a man. In order for him to make sacrifices, it must be a man who God has poured humility into.” “ While you were yet a sinner that was the greatest time you needed to be loved.” “ Only love can pull you out of sin.” “ Your freedom from the enemy will never be given up by him voluntarily; it must be demanded by you.”
2. “ Accepting lukewarm for your life is much more belittling than accepting rejection.” “ Sin has to be exposed because when a person’s sin is exposed it shows their conscious. God knows their heart, but we can only see your conscious.” “ One major way sin dominates our lives is through fear, and most of us are afraid of things that we probably have no business even being afraid of.” “ Some have fear of not being in control because they are out of control, so they fear losing control.” “ Some have fear of growing up, and some have fear of speaking up.” “ Some men have fear of being a man. Maybe because their father let them go, or the street became their example of a father and they think they cant take care of things the way a man is supposed, but you can do things the way a Godly man is supposed to once you understand the only man you have to impress is Jesus.” “ Satan brought death into the world, but Jesus bought it back.” “ The moment we begin to value our salvation, we can realize that much of what we feared was foolish. That we were living defeated lives for no reason.” 1 John 4:4 “ Understand that we serve a merciful God as long as we don’t take advantage of His grace.”
3. “ Whenever sin is at work, the same pattern takes place; it starts with a choice to sin. We think it would bring an advantage to us, a pleasure, or a delight; but what we find out is that there is slavery at the end of our choice. There is loss, loneliness, guilt, hurt and bondage. We become much less than what we want to be. We don’t know where to turn and there is affliction and more degradation than what we ever anticipated and there is no turning back. You can’t undo that process, and the only thing you can do is call out to the Lord for help and cry for mercy.” “ God has to send you a deliver because you can’t deliver yourself. If we could deliver ourselves from the mess we have gotten ourselves into, we wouldn’t have gotten into in the first place.” “ God had to first deliver the deliverer.” “ Sin is accumulative and knowing that; the weight of the sin in the body of Christ is too heavy for Him to return. If He came with the weight of sin in his body being what it is now, many would have to be judged for it and have to deal with His wrath. So again, He hasn’t come back yet…because of His grace and mercy.”
