10.1 Tangent Properties
Circle: set of points that are equidistant from the center.
Radius: segment whose endpoints are the center & any point on the circle
Chord: segment whose endpoints are on a circle
Diameter: a chord that contains the center of the circle
Secant: line that intersects a circle in 2 points
Tangent: a line that intersects the circle in exactly 1 point

Theorem 10.1: Tangent Theorem
A tangent to a circle is perpendicular to the radius drawn to the point of
tangency.
Theorem 10.2: Congruent Tangent Theorem
Tangent segments to a circle from a point outside the circle are
congruent.
