College offers opportunities to help students succeed in life through obtaining degrees and resources that can lead to good jobs or career goals. It expects students to follow rules, work hard by getting good grades, and achieve their goals in order to graduate. To achieve goals, students must think analytically by gathering information, creatively by finding new ways to understand material, and practically by applying knowledge. Having a growth mindset allows students to expand their knowledge by learning from failures and facing fears to excel. Working effectively with others involves facing social fears in order to interact with classmates, join study groups, and form relationships that encourage academic success. College prepares students for work and life by increasing global awareness and providing skills and knowledge needed for daily life and job

1. What does college offer and expect of you?
- College offers many opportunities that will help me succeed in life. For example, if I get all my
degrees and use my resources around me, I will be able to find a great, good-paying job or
maybe my dream job as being an equine vet. The college expects from every student to abide by
their rules and do your best by getting good grades and achieving your goal and graduate with
your dreams at hand.
2. What thinking skills can help you achieve your goals?
- To achieve my goal I must think in three different ways: analytical, creative, and practical. By
putting these into practice I am able to achieve my goals. Thinking analytical helps me gather all
the information that is given to me and helps me ask questions. Creative thinking helps me find
different ways to understand the material and making it known to me in a different way.
Practical thinking means to put your knowledge into practice. The more practice one gets the
better they are.
3. How can a "growth mindset" help you succeed?
- By having a growth mindset I am able to expand my knowledge and learn more each and every
day. A growth mindset will help me succeed because I will be able to learn from my failures and
achieve what needs to be done, by anaylizing my mistake inorder to succeed in life. My self-
esteem will also grow as I succeed in college and I will also have to face my fears to excel in my
studies.
4. How can you work effectively with others?
- To communicate with others effectively I will first need to face my fears of people, by facing my
fears i will be able to interact with people. As I start to talk to people in class I will be able to join
study groups and form relationships that will encourage me to do good in class or in anything I
do.
5. How does college prepare you for work and life success?
- College helps me be aware of the things in life, such as global awareness. College gives me the
skills to succeed in life on a daily basics and provides me with the knowledge needed to maintain
a job.
