I have dual interests in people-oriented work including counseling, education, housing, training, networking,
and service, as well as technical interests including data management, spreadsheets and databases,
finance, writing, statistics, and web development. I am bilingual in English and Spanish.
ADVOCACY AND COUNSELING EXPERIENCE
Spanning multiple counseling and management positions, I have ample experience advising clients through
resolution in an array of financial and housing challenges. These challenges include foreclosure prevention,
reverse mortgage, first-time homeownership, tenant advocacy, rental property management, credit repair,
securing new housing, and homelessness prevention. Simultaneously, I provided referrals and resources for
various financial assistance and mental health and wellness programs as individual client needs were
identified. Additionally, I composed legal petitions for stay-away orders for the D.C. court (WEAVE), and
provided counseling and guidance to university students in various study abroad programs (IP&E). In all
positions, I conducted training seminars, outreach to new clients, inter-agency networking, website
development and maintenance, and various administrative duties.
