Jonathan Allen, the British Ambassador to Bulgaria, wrote a letter of recommendation for Kristina Prodanova for employment. Kristina worked temporarily for the British Embassy to set up the British Bulgarian Business Association, draft documents and policies for the organization, lead the official launch event, and provide supervision for the provisional Board of Directors. Jonathan proposed hiring Kristina for this role after she impressed in an interview for a different position. Kristina proved to be highly committed, energetic, and able to deliver under strict deadlines. She was credible with companies and personalities on the Board. To whom it may concern
I am writing in recommendation of Kristina Prodanova as a candidate for
employment. Kristina was employed by the British Embassy in Bulgaria on a
temporary contract (dated 3 November 2014) as a business development
manager with the following assignment:
 Setting up the British Bulgarian Business Association (BBBA) - the aim of
the which is for the stimulation and support of business between Bulgaria
and the United Kingdom.
 Drafting procedures and policy papers for the new organisation such as
vision, mission, objectives, membership benefits, membership categories,
membership policy, eligibility and procedure, business plan, marketing and
sponsorship, information brochures, web page content feed, etc.
 Leading the official BBBA Launch event that took place on 9 January 2015
at my Residence in the presence of some 180 potential members,
representatives of other Commercial Chambers both inside and outside of
Bulgaria, and senior Bulgarian politicians.
 Providing overall project leading supervision as well as any assistance
needed on behalf of the provisionary Board of Directors of BBBA.

2. The proposal to hire Kristina as a business development manager at the British
Embassy in Sofia was my own. Kristina performed impressively at interview for a
different role, and I thought that she would instead be potentially useful for the
BBBA at its early phase of development.
Kristina is highly committed, very energetic and a self-starter. She is extremely
hard-working, builds up her knowledge and expertise in a new sector rapidly, and
commits to delivery under strict deadlines.
Kristina proved highly credible with senior players at different companies and
managed as best she could the different personalities on the BBBA Board. It is no
exaggeration to say that without her, the BBBA would not have been launched (as
I desired) before the end of my mandate as Ambassador. At times she single-
handedly ensured that the focus on rapid delivery was maintained.
Kristina would be credible for a range of roles. In this one, she has shown her
success in supporting the launching of a new commercial, membership-driven
organisation. Her energy and passion make her also well-suited to start-up roles.
I do strongly recommend Kristina and I trust and believe she could bring
substantial added value to your organisation.
