Mankind cannot and will never make it in this life as an Overcomer without CHRIST JESUS. If you want true success then you must be introduced to the only One where success resides and HIS name is JESUS.

As we look at Titus, one of the greatest themes is leadership. We have all called to be leaders when Christ gets a hold of our hearts and transforms us by His Grace, saving our souls and giving us His grand vision for making His name famous.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

1. Prayer Guide for June 14-20 with Prayer Prompts from Brenda Heinsoo
Adoration: Praise for Who God Is by focusing on one of the names or descriptions of God in the Bible. Matt. 6:9
Jesus is the Bread of Life. “Then Jesus declared, “I am the Bread of life. He who comes to
me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35).
Jesus, we praise you for sustaining us. You tell us we should not work for the food that
spoils, but that you will provide for us the food that endures to eternal life. (John 6:27).
Confession: Recognizing our continuing need to repent for sin and seek God’s forgiveness and cleansing. 1 John 1:9
Forgive us for trying to fill our lives with things, activities, and people that will never satisfy
us. We seek out new possessions, experiences, or relationships to fill the emptiness in our
lives, when we should be turning to you, being filled with you and your word.
Offer your confession to the Lord…
Thanksgiving: Thank God for all He has done, direct praise to Him and recognize answered prayer! 1 Thes.5:16-18
Thank you, Jesus, for sacrificing your body and blood so that we might have life. Thank you
for providing for our needs. Thank you for summertime, when we are blessed with sunny
days, strawberries, and more time to enjoy family and friends.
Express your thanks to the Lord…
Supplication: Bringing personal requests and intercession for others before God’s mighty throne. Heb. 4:14-16
Jesus, help us to turn to you first to satiate us. Help us block out the distractions of the
world, and experience the fullness of a close relationship with you. Protect our children, as
they take a break from school, and use VBS and Summer Blast Camps to reach them for your
Kingdom. Provide teachers to give our Sunday school teachers a much needed break.
Enter the throne room of God and bring your requests before Him with a heart of trust and
dependency…
