3 bodies concept of yoga by Dr Shivam mishra.pptxDr Shivam Mishra
According to yoga philosophy, a person has not only the physical body but two more bodies which happens within the outer physical body. It’s called the concept of Sharira Traya or three bodies in yoga.
Yoga believes that three bodies must be treated for a complete healing process rather than just the physical body. Yoga, Advaita Vedanta, Tantra, and Shaivism all adhere to the Three Bodies Doctrine, which is a fundamental principle in Indian philosophy and religion.

SS of Marriage - Part 8 - Hindu Marriage Nuptial Rounds 1 and 2Pardeep Sehgal
In Hindu Marriage Ceremony, both the bride and the groom make Seven Vows to each other also known as Saptapadi. These vows are in Sanskrit. The Vows with their exoteric and esoteric significance have been explained.
Vow One (Phera 1): Pray to Almighty for nourishing food and noble and respectful life.
The couple invoke the gods for plentitude of food and respectful life. This is a prayer and a promise, where survival needs (of self) are addressed earning by honest means. Artha through Dharma.
There is also an inner aspect to this. This inner step has got to do with the chakras in the body. The 1st step has got to do with the cleaning of the Muladhara chakra, which is associated with the basic instincts. It’s a prayer to the Lord to save us from the pitfalls of Patala. The phala or result of this is Sama.
Vow Two (Phera 2): Pray to Almighty for strength and for a peaceful and healthy life.
The couple pray to the gods to give them both mental and physical strength and a healthy life free from ailments. This step is associated with desire, Kama. But Kama through Dharma.
At a higher level the 2nd step is cleaning of Svadishthana chakra associated with desire. It is a prayer to the Lord, for iccha or desire of evolution, Kriya to do right action and wisdom to have clarity on the subject. One for themselves and helping others on the path. Dama is developed through this.
A tale of scale & speed: How the US Navy is enabling software delivery from l...sonjaschweigert1
Rapid and secure feature delivery is a goal across every application team and every branch of the DoD. The Navy’s DevSecOps platform, Party Barge, has achieved:
- Reduction in onboarding time from 5 weeks to 1 day
- Improved developer experience and productivity through actionable findings and reduction of false positives
- Maintenance of superior security standards and inherent policy enforcement with Authorization to Operate (ATO)
Development teams can ship efficiently and ensure applications are cyber ready for Navy Authorizing Officials (AOs). In this webinar, Sigma Defense and Anchore will give attendees a look behind the scenes and demo secure pipeline automation and security artifacts that speed up application ATO and time to production.
We will cover:
- How to remove silos in DevSecOps
- How to build efficient development pipeline roles and component templates
- How to deliver security artifacts that matter for ATO’s (SBOMs, vulnerability reports, and policy evidence)
- How to streamline operations with automated policy checks on container images

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:

5. 28 Types of Materiality
4 types of cause
• There are 4 causes of materiality. They are
1) Kamma-born materiality (kammaja-rūpa)
2) Consciousness-born materiality (cittaja-rūpa)
3) Temperature-born materiality (utuja-rūpa)
4) Nutriment-born materiality (āhāraja-rūpa)
6. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• Seeing the body translucent element as one block
Continue to develop concentration on the four elements to
reach access concentration. You will see different kinds of
light.
7. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How to see the rūpa-kalāpas
Concentrate continuously to
discern the four elements in
the translucent form for at
least half an hour. Then with
the light, discern the space
element in the translucent
form, by looking for small
spaces in it. You will now
find that the translucent form
breaks down into small
particles; they are called
rūpa-kalāpa.
8. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• Translucent and Un-Translucent rūpa-kalāpas
Rūpa-kalāpas that include one of the five translucencies
(eye-, ear-, nose-, tongue- or body translucency) are the
translucent rūpa-kalāpas. All other types of kalāpas are
untranslucent rūpa-kalāpas.
Translucent rūpa-kalāpa
Un-Translucent rūpa-
kalāpa
9. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How you analyze the rūpa-kalāpas to see the four
elements
If the kalāpas arise and perish very, very quickly and you
are unable to discern the four elements in single rūpa-
kalāpas, then ignore their arising and perishing. You should
only concentrate on the four elements in single ones. It is
possible for you to do this because of the power of your
concentration.
If you are still unsuccessful, you should concentrate on the
earth element alternately in the whole body at once and in a
single rūpa-kalāpa.
10. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How you analyze the rūpa-kalāpas to see the four
elements
Do the same with the water, fire, and wind element. You
need to discern the four elements in a single translucent
rūpa-kalāpa and a single un-translucent one.
When you become very skilled in the practice, you can see
all four elements (eight characteristics) in a rūpa-kalāpa at
once.
After you are able to see the four elements in a single
translucent and a single untranslucent rūpa-kalāpa, it is the
end of your samatha practice.
11. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How you see colour
Colour (vaṇṇa), the fifth type of materiality to be discerned,
is the object of sight (rūpārammaṇa), and is found in all
rūpa-kalāpas. It is very easily known with a mind
consciousness alone, because by seeing the rūpa- kalāpas
you have already seen colour. Colour is always the colour
of something, and that something is the four elements.
You know colour
when you are
able to see the
rūpa-kalāpas.
12. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How you see odour
To do this, you need first to discern the materiality that the
two types of consciousness depend on, namely the nose
translucency and heart materiality.
Having discerned the nose translucency (the nose door)
and the heart materiality (the mind door), you can proceed
to discern the odour of a rūpa-kalāpa near the nose decad-
kalāpa where you discerned the translucency. You will see
that the odour impinges on the nose and mind door at the
same time.
13. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How you see flavour
Here too, you need first to discern the materiality that the
two types of consciousness depend on: the tongue
translucency and heart materiality. Having done that, you
then discern the flavour of a rūpa-kalāpa. You can take a
rūpa-kalāpa from the saliva on your tongue.
14. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How you see nutritive essence
Nutritive essence (ojā) is the eighth type of materiality to
discern. It is also found in all rūpa-kalāpas.
Examine any rūpa-kalāpa, and you will find nutritive
essence from which rūpa-kalāpas are seen to multiply forth
again and again.
Examine any rūpa-kalāpa and
you will find nutritive essence
from which rūpa-kalāpas are
seen to multiply forth again
and again.
15. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How you see life faculty in translucent rūpa-kalāpa
It is easiest for you to discern the life faculty first in a
translucent rūpa-kalāpa. Discern an eye decad kalāpa, and
see that the life faculty sustains the materiality of its own
rūpa-kalāpa only, not the materiality of others.
To see life faculty, discern an eye
decad kalāpa and see that the life
faculty substains the materiality of
its own rūpa-kalāpa only, not the
materiality of others.
16. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How you see life faculty in un-translucent rūpa-kalāpa
The body has three types of untranslucent rūpa-kalāpa with
life- faculty materiality:
1) Heart decad kalāpa (hadaya-dasaka-kalāpa)
2) Sex decad kalāpa (bhāva-dasaka-kalāpa)
3) Life nonad kalāpa (jīvita-navaka-kalāpa)
17. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How you see life faculty in un-translucent rūpa-kalāpa
Just now you discerned the life faculty in a translucent
rūpa-kalāpa of the eye, so look again in the eye and discern
an un-translucent rūpa-kalāpa with the life faculty. Since
life nonad-kalāpas and sex decad-kalāpas are found in all
six sense-organs, it will be either one. If it has the sex
materiality, it is a sex decad-kalāpa, if not it is a life nonad-
kalāpa. In that case, discern another un-translucent rūpa-
kalāpa until you discern the sex materiality, and then try to
find it in a rūpa-kalāpa of also the ear, nose, tongue, body
and heart.
18. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How you see heart materiality
To discern an un-translucent rūpa-kalāpa of the heart, you
concentrate again on the bright, luminous mind door, the
bhavaṅga. To see it very clearly, wiggle your finger, and see
the consciousness that wants to wiggle the finger. Then try
to discern how the bhavaṅga arises dependent on the heart
base: the un-translucent, heart decad-kalāpas. You should be
able to find them in the lower part of the bhavaṅga.
19. How to see Ultimate Materiality
• How you see heart materiality
Discern how the bhavaṅga
arises dependent on the heart
base, the un-translucent , heart
decad kalāpa.
