This document provides information and instructions for correctly filling out a repair order (RO) form. It explains that an RO is a legal document that protects both the shop and customer. 8. THE “STORY”
Your story must have the following:
•Customer Concern
• Most time a copy of the concern
•Cause
• What is the cause of the concern BE
SPECIFIC! Include wire colors and
connector locations if electrical or the
specific broken part.
•Correction
• What you did to fix it
•Verification of repair
• Document how you road tested the
vehicle, verified you fixed the
concern and did not notice any other
concerns.
•Separate punch times for each job.
•Mileage out after road test

9. WILL NOT WRITING A COMPLETE
STORY AFFECT YOUR PAY?
A. Yes. The more you write the more your get paid.
B. No. You only get paid what is on the front of the R.O.

10. CUSTOMER RO POLICIES
 All vehicles in the shop must have a written and signed Repair
Order (RO)
 All RO’s will be written up by the students or instructor and signed
by the customer
 The instructor must review the RO before the customer leaves the shop

11. CUSTOMER RO POLICIES
 Parts requisition
 All lab computers have a link that is labeled “EPR”
 Fill out EPR form completely
 Svend will process all EPRs and ask you any questions he may have
 Parts are delivered at 10:00am the following day
NO EPR-NO PARTS-NO EXCEPTIONS!
