This document describes a case study of a nurse developing a trusting relationship with a patient to support healing of her limb-threatening wounds. The nurse met weekly with the patient, engaged her family, identified goals and risk factors, and had the patient take photos of her wounds' progress to document her journey and engage in self-care. Using these photos, the patient created collages and stories to process her emotions. This interactive approach empowered the patient to better manage her health and supported both her physical and emotional healing.
