5. THE BASKET
BUILDING
This building is located in Ohio, United
States. It is owned by Dave
Longaberger who is in the business of
selling baskets.
This building has seven floors and
it resembles a giant basket. There are
two basket handles attached to the
building. The handles are heated during
winter to prevent ice from forming.
6. KANSAS CITY
LIBRARY
The Kansas City Library is located in Kansas
City, Missouri. It is found on December 5, 1873.
The building is very special as it is the oldest
and third largest public library in the Kansas
City.
This library has a collection of Kansas
City local history, original and published
materials, news articles, post cards,
photographs, maps, and many more.
7. THE PIANO
HOUSE
Located in Huainan City, China, The Piano
House was completed in 2007.
The transparent violin is made from
clear glass panels and contains escalators. A
staircase was also made for the main piano
building which accommodates two concert
halls.
8. THE CROOKED
HOUSE
The Crooked House was built in 2004. It is part
of the popular Rezydent Shopping Centre in
Poland. The building was designed by
Szotynscy Zaleski.
The house was designed to look like a
fairytale illustrations. It has colourful glass
entrances. The roof is unique as it was
designed to look like a dragon.
9. RIPLEY’S
BUILDING
The Ripley’s Building is also known as
the Branson Museum. It was built in
Canada. It was built to reflect the 1812
Missouri earthquake.
The cracks are the unique
features of the structure. It gives the
impression that it has just survived an
earthquake.
