Persuasive Essay On Respect
As children we are taught to always show respect to those around us. We are taught to never say
no to an adult, to listen and to use manners to everyone around us. But as we grow older we
develop a sense of rebelliousness, and an urge to question every single moral and value we have
learned.
So the burning question arises: Should respect be given to everyone no matter what, or is it
something that needs to be earned? I believe that respect is a given. Like a natural right, it is born
with it, and it is your choice whether you can gain more or lose it. People around the world have
been fighting all around the world for equality. Isn't that the same as respect? We have been
fighting for respect this whole time, so why should we suddenly discriminate every organism on
this planet. Everyone has a side of insecurity and if we keep making people feel ashamed of that,
there would be no respect. Respect is what separates me from you, him from her. But shouldn't
everyone get respect no matter the case? From CEOs to retail workers?
According to The Positivity Solution, an organization dedicated to spread positivity, dignity, and
kindness, "Rudeness is often a by–product of a lack of respect. Not to sound like Captain Obvious
here, but most people don't choose to be rude and disrespectful to people who they respect, do
they?". What they are trying to convey is that people often don't give everyone the respect they
deserve. When we do not give people respect, we lose respect for ourselves and become rude in
other people's eyes. As we learn to realize that everyone deserves respect, we can see that even the
most small things can earn our attention. If you are consciously deciding to give people respect or
not, that is a mistake. Why do people need your acceptance to be treated equally? They do not. And
if you are making a choice based on shallow judgment, you are destroying the love and kindness that
others have shown to you. To be critical like that is unacceptable and wrong universally.
"A person's a person, no matter how small" said Dr. Suess, an award winning children's books writer.
Everyone wants to be accepted, some people at all costs. But would we like to see these people
struggle to work there way up and

Persuasive Essay About Running
Running is a physically demanding sport. If you are looking for a way to get in shape, then you
should consider running. Running uses every muscle in your body because you are engaging every
aspect of yourself in the activity. Also, running is a great way to incorporate more cardio into your
workout. Running is not just about getting in shape and staying shape; but running involves many
fun activities and sports.
Some sports that involve running are track and cross country. If you are a competitive individual,
then you should consider track or cross country. If you are a more laid back individual, then you
can take into consideration mud runs or glow/color runs. Those events are always fun, and you get
dirty while participating in the event. Running is a good way to get in shape and have fun doing so,
but before you begin running, you need to know the basics of how to begin.
The first step to begin running is to start with runs/walks. You will start by adding one minute of
running for every four minutes of walking. Gradually increase your running time, so that eventually
you will be running for twice the amount of time that you spend walking. Also, interval running is a
good "beginners" workout. You start by jogging for one minute, then walking for one minute, then
you should increase the time by one minute each time until you are running for five minutes and
walking for five minutes. The technique you choose should be most comfortable to you.
However, you need to be

Procrastination
I.Attention Getter: A famous author by the name of Wayne Dyer once said, "Procrastination is one
of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is incredibly
heavy."(1) In todays society it seems as if procrastination has become a normal and acceptable thing
to do. It is often joked about amongst schoolmates and co–workers around the world. Nothing seems
to get done until it absolutely needs to get done, then everyone runs around getting things done
quickly and often times inaccurately. The trouble with this mentality however is that some things
will never get done because something will come up tomorrow or the next day and what you are
putting off now gets pushed even further back. Today I will persuade you to stop this habit from
continuing. I will be explaining the problems we face when dealing with procrastination as well as
how to deal with it and actions you can take to prevent it in the future.
Transition: It is in our human nature to procrastinate, some of us do it more than others but learning
about this problem and understanding how it can effect you can be beneficial to everyone
II.Need(the Problem): According to an article from Psychology Today, "20 percent of people
chronically avoid difficult tasks and deliberately look for distractions" (2) and According to recent
research "Procrastination has more than quadrupled in the last 30

Persuasive Essay On Climate Change
Climate Change
Not everyone in the world has noticed that the climate has changed throughout the years. The
negativity of climate alternation comes from pollution, weather, and temperature changes, which
will endanger the earth. However, it's possible that some people in the world are willing to help;
people are trying to decrease the chances of climate modification from raising. Even though climate
change is very bad for the earth and toward humans, no one can put an end to this problem due to
several causes which will affect us. Three different outcomes that surround the topic climate change
comes from our human activities, environment changes, and human health issues. These are the
reasons why it causes climate changes to create negative effects on the earth.
Greenhouse gases are the reason why climate change has affected the environment for many years.
Changes that can happen in the environment could be how cold is the temperature today, how much
sunlight is being produced during the day or is there enough clean water. The environment gets
affected when "the atmosphere traps the heat radiate into the Earth toward space" (NASA 1). When
that happens the environment will change the "impacts on human systems which involve food
production, local livelihoods, and health" issues (Environment and Climate Change Canada).
Different type of effects that can happen to the earth could be "sea levels, droughts, floods and
other extreme weathers, climate change ecosystem and extinction threats" (Greenpeace
International 1). Other living things such as insect, bird, or plant will be extinct or will move to
different places in the world and this will affect human health issues (National Geographic 1).
These issues will cause trouble to the earth's environment, and it's not possible to know when the
problems will turn more worst. Ice melting from the Arctic has increased, due to climate change and
it will harm the polar bears, seals, and penguins (National Geographic 1). My grandmother has
grown vegetables in her backyard, and as the climate changes, this affects the growing process of the
food. In the summer when I go outside the temperature has increased from the radiated of the sun
shining towards me.

Persuasive Essay On Raising Children
In today's society people have evolved in many ways, especially regarding raising children.
Becoming a parent is a honor and privilege that shouldn't be taken for granted. Parents should always
keep in mind that patience is most important thing to give a child other than unconditional love. Also
parents should make time during the early to young adolescent stages of the child to focus on
teaching responsibility, compassion, and fairness. However, there is a rising problem that parents
lack the motivation, confidence and education when parenting. Parents have become heavily
dependent on technology and utilize it to occupy the child so the parent won't have to worry about
teaching.
Instead of becoming solely dependent on technology, parents should research and find ways to be
more interactive and bond with the children. By this doing this, the children will feel the noticed and
want to confide in the parent. Expressing unconditional love to children is easier for some,
however; parents do not need to become a best friend to their children; they should establish
structure and expectations to help the children strive to do and be better. The parents also need
show responsibility and good manners by being a role model of how they want the children to learn
and grow. Cathey Netherwood from
Learning to be Responsible states that," the quality of responsibility is both attitude and a skill".(1)
Parents should also illustrate what they expect from the children through their

With stiff legs and heavy eyes, you walk to class cursing that it's too early to learn and too early to
focus. This is why schools all over the world should start later than 8:30am. Not just because, teens
will have a more positive attitude towards learning, but also because it is proven that teens will
remember the lesson or whatever has been taught, better. Dr. Anne Wheaton who works for the CDC
and is a sleep scientist states that, "Getting enough sleep is important for students' health, safety, and
academic performance," She goes on to state that, "Early school start times, however, are preventing
many adolescents from getting the sleep they need."

Persuasive Essay On Shark Culling
In Australia, sharks kill an average of three people every year. In Queensland 2017, to counter this,
667 sharks were culled to protect human's safety on Australian beaches along with 100 accidental
deaths of turtles, dolphins and dugongs. This was done with no scientific evidence to support that
culling would work. All over the world 90% of shark species are threatened to become extinct with
people killing 273 million sharks every year. This is why we must ban and make sure shark culling
stops and never ever starts again. Shark culling is ludicrous, you have more of a chance dying from
a coconut falling on you than a shark attack, coconuts actually kill 150 people every year does this
mean we are going to kill all the coconuts? Here are a few arguments why shark culling must stop.
Firstly, if sharks numbers drastically decline then it will throw the food chain out of whack. Sharks
eat the big fish, who in turn eat the smaller fish, which eat the smaller fish which eat the algae. If
sharks were to become extinct then certain marine groups would overpopulate which would
endanger a large number of other marine species making them either very rare or even extinct.
"According to one study, without sharks the number of mid–level predators will increase many fold.
These mid–level carnivores will eat most of the algae eaters. As a result, the seas will be choked
with algae and its excretions. The water will become slimy. Sunlight penetration will be reduced.
It will decrease coral reefs very soon. So, many thousands of dependent species will also go
extinct." (All Five Oceans, 2016) For example, do you like to eat shrimps, oysters or crabs?
Because if shark culling continues then these species will become almost extinct. This is because
sharks feed on rays who are the main feeders of these foods, if sharks become extinct then rays will
overpopulate and with so many rays feeding on these foods then they will become rare and maybe
even extinct.
Secondly, Sharks have been around for millions of years and have their own place on this earth,
we have no right to kill them. Sharks first swam in the earth oceans around 420 to 450 million
years ago. Trees first started growing around 385 million years ago. Sharks are

Donald Trump has suggested that a contest should be held as to which television network covers
him in the most "dishonest, corrupt and or/distorted" way, as he has again labeled many of the
outlets "fake news." It is one of some attacks by the president against the press coverage he receives,
with the most vitriolic coming back in August when he referred the assembled journalists as "truly
dishonest" and "sick people."Mr. Trump also used the term "your favorite president," a moniker he
has used recently – that is despite his approval ratings telling a different story."
Literature Review The press is basic to vote based system, and popularity based race is
comprehensibly deprived of the press. An open and sensible contest is not only about the prospect of
voting and the culture the way to make a selection, yet around a hands–on process where the
electorates participate in the open verbal confrontation and provide adequate information on the
meetings, approaches, competitors and the verdict process on the situation with a precise aim of
settling on sophisticated choices. Besides, the press drives around as a critical watch to popularity
founded decisions, defending the frankness in the procedure.
During the 2005 gathering to commemorate World Press Freedom Day worldwide, an affirmation
was formed which concentrated on "independent and mixed press are rudimentary for assuring

Writing A Persuasive Essay
It's a simple enough idea, write an essay about a topic for credit. I'll admit I've written good
essays in the past, I just have one issue with this topic; I am not a persuasive person. I don't have a
passion to write about, or an idea in my head. Even if I was passionate about something, I doubt I
have the skill to convince you. My arguments would consist of why I like the topic (or hate it) with
an extreme bias, and I doubt that you would be moved. I couldn't convince you that the long hours of
school take a toll on the students. Even if others agree with me, the way I word things, the lack of
passion and my lack of being able to be assertive is the reason why I can't write this essay. First
things first, the way I word my thoughts. Regardless...show more content...
You'll get this definition: "The writer takes a stand on an issue–either "for" or "against"–and builds
the strongest possible argument to win over the reader. In a persuasive essay, it's the writer's job
to convince the reader to accept a particular point of view or take a specific action." Along with a
bunch of How Tos. I've have taken a stand that is very passive–aggressive, on why I can't write this
essay. I know what you're thinking, this is ridiculous. Just think of it like this, as you sit there
reading me ramble on and give excuses. You're starting to listen. Yes, you have been in my spot
before, lack of passion words don't form right and you're just not clear enough. I see the irony here,
this very essay, it contradicts itself. A persuasive essay on why I can't write a persuasive essay. In
the end it's genius, I'm not faking an opinion or sing someone's thoughts. You might have considered
this option before but it seemed too stupid. You looked up prompt after prompt. Nothing. When you
finally settle you know it's not your best work and the grade shows. Or you did it last minute,
reworded someone else's essay. You've even considered turning in nothing, I mean what's the point

Persuasive Speech On Social Media Essay
Purpose: To persuade my audience to minimize their phone usage. Thesis: Stay in the present
moment, don't let yourself believe you're going to forget a memory because you didn't document it
through social media. Claim: Policy Organizational Pattern: Problem–Solution I. Introduction A.
Attention Getter: Four Years of your life is wasted to what's sitting inside all of your pockets
right now; your cellphone. The average person spends roughly 90 minutes a day playing on their
phone, whether it's checking emails, Snapchatting or scrolling through your Twitter feed.
According to The Dailymail.com we unlock our phones at least 110 times per day! We've
become almost dependent on these devices over time, and it needs to stop. We rely on our
phones everyday to wake us up for school and to know the time of day. B. Relevance: We live in a
world of ever changing technology. Products are always getting upgraded every year and everyone
wants the biggest and newest thing on the market. It's hard to not get caught up in all the buzz of
things. We feel almost "naked" without our phones; our attachment to them is overwhelming.
Without them we feel as though we're missing out on what's happening in the world. Our heads
are always down; our thumbs are always swiping up and down on our newsfeed. We're living a life
that is more involved in someone else's social media accounts than our own. C. Credibility: As a

Persuasive Essay Vacation
The average American receives ten days of paid vacation a year and millions of workers do not
even use them all. Vacation provides a much–needed escape from the daily grind and hustle n bustle
of the work routine. The best kind of vacations include family and friends, lively experiences, new
countries, cultures, and the promise of relaxation. Relaxing on the beach in the Bahamas, ziplining
in Sao Paulo, horse backing in the Andes Mountains, or exploring the city of Vienna in Austria all
provide a different experience in a new country and culture. Experiencing and exploring with
friends and family is even better; allowing for stronger relationships and creating enjoyable
memories for years to come. One aspect of a fun vacation is spending time with friends and family.
No matter if in a new country or a new neighborhood, exploring new places and experiencing new
things together can strengthen friendships and bonds between family members. Having shared
memories from a particular vacation can be a helpful reminder of a happy time when a family
relationship or friendship turns sour. While on my trip to Ecuador over the summer, I went with
twelve over classmates and also ten other high school students from around the country. Although
the girls from school I traveled with were acquaintances at the beginning of the trip, by the end of
the eleven days living together in a foreign country, we became best friends and still are today. In
addition, the students I did not know before

the effects of consistently doing this in all areas of my life. I believe journaling matters and you
should definitely pay attention to the great impact it will make. When you don't have your thoughts
and days organized, you will have more issues with mental health. You will start to forget and avoid
things until your back is up against the wall...and no one enjoys that.

due to the self esteem drop. Luckily, I have found my superhero judgement free therapy. The best
part? Journaling is cheap, simple, and flexible. It will help you solve your problems more
efficiently. When you write, you use the left part of your brain, which focuses on analytical and
rational functions. Read more about those studies (here.) Fascinating studies to dive into. I love
learning about our brain and the weirdness of it all.

Persuasive Essay On Saving Money
Saving money is an important part of your financial health. The more you save, the more you can
feel at ease whenever a rainy day might hit. You cannot predict the future but you can prepare for
it. If you prepare now, your future self will thank you. But how can you save if you have so many
bills and only one stream of income? Here are some tips you can use to rack up that account with a
single income.
Try to make a budget, it will be your blueprint for your finances. The first step for anyone wanting
to take control of their finances is to make a budget. A budget will allow you to understand where
your money is going and enable you to adjust your spending by designating how much you can
afford. Creating a budget is a good idea for everyone, but especially for individuals with limited
income. Write down your budget, with specific categories of spending, and stick to it. Start slowly
by using a percentage on how much you will save versus spend. A plan doesn't work unless you
work the plan.
Do not live a life that you cannot handle, spend within your means. Be honest with yourself, if you
can't afford something, don't buy it! Affordability is much more than the amount of money in your
bank account, it also is how long it will take for the money you spent to be back in your account.
Think of your finances as a long term process, not a short term fix. This is also why you should limit
your credit card usage. If you rack up your credit card and lose your sole source of income,

Persuasive Speech About Stress Research Paper
As the students and youth of today, we will soon be the leading adults of tomorrow. It's an incredibly
daunting thing to anticipate. Throughout high school we are expected to independently start making
crucial, responsible decisions, all so that from the day we receive our diplomas, we are prepared for
adulthood. But seldom do we mention the lingering pressure that high school students constantly
feel to have absolutely everything together when, really, they don't.
High school seniors alone have a lot on their plate. We're busy meeting essay deadlines, trying to
understand derivatives, making sure we have enough credits to graduate and worrying about our
overall future–all while trying to balance a social life, possibly a job, and other responsibilities.
We're too young to be subjecting ourselves to this quantity of stress. It's just too much.
Seriously. According to the American Psychological Association, constant and persisting stress can
affect our physical and psychological well–being, causing problems like anxiety, insomnia, and a
weakened immune system. The same research also shows that stress can contribute to major
illnesses such as heart disease, depression, and obesity.
There are many proactive ways we can avoid the problems caused by our experiences with stress.

and I was quite good at convincing people to agree with my stand points. To convince others to
agree on my point of view was an extraordinary feeling. I am very good at getting my point across
and giving my reasons on why I feel the way I do about a certain situation. I loved writing persuasive
essays because I love to read them as well. I love how persuasive essays have a call–to–action;
giving the readers a chance to do something about the situation. I am all for protest and rights for
others, if I believe someone is wrong I will stand my ground and prove that it is wrong. I loved to
write persuasive essays because, I am a persuasive person in life. My opinions matter just as much

Persuasive Speech About Suicide
From the very start, suicide has been a problem for many and it's not something that you can just fail
to notice. A countless number of young teens are attempting or have successfully taken their own
lives due to pain that has being inflicted on them. Without being able to actually cope with the pain,
they use suicide as the solution of ending all of their suffering. Did you know that, suicide is the third
leading cause of deaths among youth, but not just youth also among young adult? Suicide is an issue
that we until this day still have going on, and it can be prevented in many ways. I have lost family
and friends from the past, who took their own lives, without knowing the reason why they did it. In
addition, it left me wondering why and what could I have done, If I would have just listened to what
they had to say.
Various people don't actually get what is suicide yes it when someone kills themselves, but it can
also be someone who attempts to. People may think that one just takes their life just to get the
attention of others however, that is not true. I have come with a deeper understanding that there is
always a story behind why they did it. The world just has numerous of things happening all at once,
that there isn't enough time to focus on just one thing. Along with the pressures of having to look a
certain way and hostility of others isn't helping either. Suicide rates, therefore, are increasing
dramatically because of the increase of societal pressures and lack of time to address mental health
needs.
Throughout the course of my research, with the work of innumerable authors has furnished me with
a way to approach my inquiry.
One might wonder, what exactly makes a person want to take their own life. There is no real case
for why they decide to do it. Although, there are a multiple signs that one may be following the
pathway of suicide As I was doing some research I found out there can be many signs that can lead
to suicide that we may not notice. When person searching for any signs, they must look at a any

diagnosed with heart disease, diabetes, obesity, or depression in the course of their life, which may
eventually cause death. Imagine if that person had simply exercised for 30 minutes, 4–5 times a
week. They would most likely not be suffering from the disease, and living a happy healthy life.
II. Depression, Heart Disease and Diabetes are all major life threatening diseases that affect over

lose weight to avoid obesity and instantly boots your mood to help partially treat or prevent
depression.

a. Exercising can become a habit, and something you carry on with your through the rest of your

also never too late to get active! Not only can a 5 year old exercise and have fun by joining a youth

and promote blood flow.

Reflection Of A Persuasive Reflection
Reflection of a Persuasive Essay by Vickie Hale In my revision, I decided to incorporate
actionable feedback from the feedback I received. The feedback I received was that my essay
needed more clarification, I choose to use this feedback to help make my argument more developed,
I wanted to create a better thought out essay and I worked on the clarification of my argument as
well as renewed my research. With that, I did some critical thinking to help work through the
weak areas of my essay which was the structure and syntax. Therefore, I incorporated these
suggestions because they helped me to improve my essay and help me to create a more persuasive
essay. Without these changes alongside the small revisions, I made, I do not believe my essay
would have been as well–written so they were much needed. My biggest challenges came from not
being able to pin down my argument, it took me a while to come find a side to an argument that
wasn't vague. Because, I usually write in a creative way, which does not necessarily have to be
persuasive, I usually write fictional stories and people getting the understanding from the
experiences of the characters is the outcome, but with persuasive writing, you are trying to get your
readers to not only agree with your side of the argument but to see what and why you are arguing
your side in the first place. This became difficult for me because I kept feeling like my argument
was not central and a little vague. I worked on trying to help my readers understand what and why
I was arguing my side of the argument. I had to think about who was reading my essay and this
helped. What I could have done differently is choose a more central argument, I believe it would
have reduced my challenges. This question is hard for me to answer because I did not receive but
one peer feedback, the feedback I incorporated concerning my exploration of the issue was more
clarification because that was one of the problems my peer review pointed out. I worked on my
clarification because it is one of the main elements, that is needed when you are writing a
persuasive essay or any essay for that matter. Clarification gives the essay structure so your readers
can have a full understanding of your

Persuasive Essay On Nature
Despite what mankind would like to believe, humans are animals. As multi–celled organisms, we
consume other organic matter, change the land for own uses as a beaver would build a dam, and as
other mammals, we are all fed breast milk from our mothers when we were young. Yet there is this
disconnection and alienation of the human race towards other species. Moreover, through fear of
taking action, the convenience provided to us if we simply choose to ignore the environment, and the
alienation of other species that are endangered by our actions, the hostile and uncaring attitude of
humans towards nature is the core reason for many of the problems in our environment today.
As a 17–year old teenager going to high school, contrary to the environmental activist, David
Suzuki's, remarks about the ignorance of humans about nature, I receive much information about
these kinds of problems at my school, from dedicated assemblies, eco fairs and special days that
address our responsibility to deal with nature in a more responsible fashion. Yet, when the school
day is over, all of the information seeps out of the roof of the school; plastic water bottles are still
found in the corners of hallways and leftover Tim Hortons cups are still present in the desks of my
former Business class. Even when I step inside the door of my house, the disconnection from nature
is apparent. Most of my time at home is spent looking at a screen and doing homework and the only
sign of nature would be the fly

neural pathways so you're more resilient to stress. This is especially true when you focus on a
positive mantra, such as "I love myself." Take some time to get together with your friends and do
something fun. Share with them what's going on in your life. This gives you a new perspective
on your issues too. When you only have 10 minutes to decompress, put a warm heat wrap around
your neck and shoulders, close your eyes, and relax. Once you remove the wrap, try rolling a
massager over your back and feel your tension melt away. Head to the gym daily. While this may
seem like a lot, but Fitness Magazine says you should do 30 minutes of cardio exercise every day.
This includes anything that raises your heart rate, including running, brisk walking, swimming, and
biking. You should also do strength training at least twice a week such as squats, push–ups, lunges,
weight training, planks, and jumping jacks. These release feel–good chemicals in your brain that
help you deal with stress. When you don't have time for these things, park further from a store, take
the steps instead of the elevator, or go for a short walk. 5 Minutes to Decompress Stop saying you're
stressed because you don't have enough time to decompress. This

Ways To Start A Persuasive Essay

  • 1. Persuasive Essay On Respect As children we are taught to always show respect to those around us. We are taught to never say no to an adult, to listen and to use manners to everyone around us. But as we grow older we develop a sense of rebelliousness, and an urge to question every single moral and value we have learned. So the burning question arises: Should respect be given to everyone no matter what, or is it something that needs to be earned? I believe that respect is a given. Like a natural right, it is born with it, and it is your choice whether you can gain more or lose it. People around the world have been fighting all around the world for equality. Isn't that the same as respect? We have been fighting for respect this whole time, so why should we suddenly discriminate every organism on this planet. Everyone has a side of insecurity and if we keep making people feel ashamed of that, there would be no respect. Respect is what separates me from you, him from her. But shouldn't everyone get respect no matter the case? From CEOs to retail workers? According to The Positivity Solution, an organization dedicated to spread positivity, dignity, and kindness, "Rudeness is often a by–product of a lack of respect. Not to sound like Captain Obvious here, but most people don't choose to be rude and disrespectful to people who they respect, do they?". What they are trying to convey is that people often don't give everyone the respect they deserve. When we do not give people respect, we lose respect for ourselves and become rude in other people's eyes. As we learn to realize that everyone deserves respect, we can see that even the most small things can earn our attention. If you are consciously deciding to give people respect or not, that is a mistake. Why do people need your acceptance to be treated equally? They do not. And if you are making a choice based on shallow judgment, you are destroying the love and kindness that others have shown to you. To be critical like that is unacceptable and wrong universally. "A person's a person, no matter how small" said Dr. Suess, an award winning children's books writer. Everyone wants to be accepted, some people at all costs. But would we like to see these people struggle to work there way up and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Persuasive Essay About Running Running is a physically demanding sport. If you are looking for a way to get in shape, then you should consider running. Running uses every muscle in your body because you are engaging every aspect of yourself in the activity. Also, running is a great way to incorporate more cardio into your workout. Running is not just about getting in shape and staying shape; but running involves many fun activities and sports. Some sports that involve running are track and cross country. If you are a competitive individual, then you should consider track or cross country. If you are a more laid back individual, then you can take into consideration mud runs or glow/color runs. Those events are always fun, and you get dirty while participating in the event. Running is a good way to get in shape and have fun doing so, but before you begin running, you need to know the basics of how to begin. The first step to begin running is to start with runs/walks. You will start by adding one minute of running for every four minutes of walking. Gradually increase your running time, so that eventually you will be running for twice the amount of time that you spend walking. Also, interval running is a good "beginners" workout. You start by jogging for one minute, then walking for one minute, then you should increase the time by one minute each time until you are running for five minutes and walking for five minutes. The technique you choose should be most comfortable to you. However, you need to be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Outline Of Persuasive Speech On Procrastination Scott Alex Suddoth COMM 2381 Outline for Persuasive speech 11/18/2015 Procrastination I.Attention Getter: A famous author by the name of Wayne Dyer once said, "Procrastination is one of the most common and deadliest of diseases and its toll on success and happiness is incredibly heavy."(1) In todays society it seems as if procrastination has become a normal and acceptable thing to do. It is often joked about amongst schoolmates and co–workers around the world. Nothing seems to get done until it absolutely needs to get done, then everyone runs around getting things done quickly and often times inaccurately. The trouble with this mentality however is that some things will never get done because something will come up tomorrow or the next day and what you are putting off now gets pushed even further back. Today I will persuade you to stop this habit from continuing. I will be explaining the problems we face when dealing with procrastination as well as how to deal with it and actions you can take to prevent it in the future. Transition: It is in our human nature to procrastinate, some of us do it more than others but learning about this problem and understanding how it can effect you can be beneficial to everyone II.Need(the Problem): According to an article from Psychology Today, "20 percent of people chronically avoid difficult tasks and deliberately look for distractions" (2) and According to recent research "Procrastination has more than quadrupled in the last 30 Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Persuasive Essay On Climate Change Climate Change Not everyone in the world has noticed that the climate has changed throughout the years. The negativity of climate alternation comes from pollution, weather, and temperature changes, which will endanger the earth. However, it's possible that some people in the world are willing to help; people are trying to decrease the chances of climate modification from raising. Even though climate change is very bad for the earth and toward humans, no one can put an end to this problem due to several causes which will affect us. Three different outcomes that surround the topic climate change comes from our human activities, environment changes, and human health issues. These are the reasons why it causes climate changes to create negative effects on the earth. Greenhouse gases are the reason why climate change has affected the environment for many years. Changes that can happen in the environment could be how cold is the temperature today, how much sunlight is being produced during the day or is there enough clean water. The environment gets affected when "the atmosphere traps the heat radiate into the Earth toward space" (NASA 1). When that happens the environment will change the "impacts on human systems which involve food production, local livelihoods, and health" issues (Environment and Climate Change Canada). Different type of effects that can happen to the earth could be "sea levels, droughts, floods and other extreme weathers, climate change ecosystem and extinction threats" (Greenpeace International 1). Other living things such as insect, bird, or plant will be extinct or will move to different places in the world and this will affect human health issues (National Geographic 1). These issues will cause trouble to the earth's environment, and it's not possible to know when the problems will turn more worst. Ice melting from the Arctic has increased, due to climate change and it will harm the polar bears, seals, and penguins (National Geographic 1). My grandmother has grown vegetables in her backyard, and as the climate changes, this affects the growing process of the food. In the summer when I go outside the temperature has increased from the radiated of the sun shining towards me. Human activities Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Persuasive Essay On Raising Children In today's society people have evolved in many ways, especially regarding raising children. Becoming a parent is a honor and privilege that shouldn't be taken for granted. Parents should always keep in mind that patience is most important thing to give a child other than unconditional love. Also parents should make time during the early to young adolescent stages of the child to focus on teaching responsibility, compassion, and fairness. However, there is a rising problem that parents lack the motivation, confidence and education when parenting. Parents have become heavily dependent on technology and utilize it to occupy the child so the parent won't have to worry about teaching. Instead of becoming solely dependent on technology, parents should research and find ways to be more interactive and bond with the children. By this doing this, the children will feel the noticed and want to confide in the parent. Expressing unconditional love to children is easier for some, however; parents do not need to become a best friend to their children; they should establish structure and expectations to help the children strive to do and be better. The parents also need show responsibility and good manners by being a role model of how they want the children to learn and grow. Cathey Netherwood from Learning to be Responsible states that," the quality of responsibility is both attitude and a skill".(1) Parents should also illustrate what they expect from the children through their 2 own Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. With stiff legs and heavy eyes, you walk to class cursing that it's too early to learn and too early to focus. This is why schools all over the world should start later than 8:30am. Not just because, teens will have a more positive attitude towards learning, but also because it is proven that teens will remember the lesson or whatever has been taught, better. Dr. Anne Wheaton who works for the CDC and is a sleep scientist states that, "Getting enough sleep is important for students' health, safety, and academic performance," She goes on to state that, "Early school start times, however, are preventing many adolescents from getting the sleep they need." • 7. Persuasive Essay On Shark Culling In Australia, sharks kill an average of three people every year. In Queensland 2017, to counter this, 667 sharks were culled to protect human's safety on Australian beaches along with 100 accidental deaths of turtles, dolphins and dugongs. This was done with no scientific evidence to support that culling would work. All over the world 90% of shark species are threatened to become extinct with people killing 273 million sharks every year. This is why we must ban and make sure shark culling stops and never ever starts again. Shark culling is ludicrous, you have more of a chance dying from a coconut falling on you than a shark attack, coconuts actually kill 150 people every year does this mean we are going to kill all the coconuts? Here are a few arguments why shark culling must stop. Firstly, if sharks numbers drastically decline then it will throw the food chain out of whack. Sharks eat the big fish, who in turn eat the smaller fish, which eat the smaller fish which eat the algae. If sharks were to become extinct then certain marine groups would overpopulate which would endanger a large number of other marine species making them either very rare or even extinct. "According to one study, without sharks the number of mid–level predators will increase many fold. These mid–level carnivores will eat most of the algae eaters. As a result, the seas will be choked with algae and its excretions. The water will become slimy. Sunlight penetration will be reduced. It will decrease coral reefs very soon. So, many thousands of dependent species will also go extinct." (All Five Oceans, 2016) For example, do you like to eat shrimps, oysters or crabs? Because if shark culling continues then these species will become almost extinct. This is because sharks feed on rays who are the main feeders of these foods, if sharks become extinct then rays will overpopulate and with so many rays feeding on these foods then they will become rare and maybe even extinct. Secondly, Sharks have been around for millions of years and have their own place on this earth, we have no right to kill them. Sharks first swam in the earth oceans around 420 to 450 million years ago. Trees first started growing around 385 million years ago. Sharks are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 8. Persuasive Communication Essay Noor Douglah #1003169965 November 28, 2017 Communication Research Methods Donald Trump has suggested that a contest should be held as to which television network covers him in the most "dishonest, corrupt and or/distorted" way, as he has again labeled many of the outlets "fake news." It is one of some attacks by the president against the press coverage he receives, with the most vitriolic coming back in August when he referred the assembled journalists as "truly dishonest" and "sick people."Mr. Trump also used the term "your favorite president," a moniker he has used recently – that is despite his approval ratings telling a different story." Literature Review The press is basic to vote based system, and popularity based race is comprehensibly deprived of the press. An open and sensible contest is not only about the prospect of voting and the culture the way to make a selection, yet around a hands–on process where the electorates participate in the open verbal confrontation and provide adequate information on the meetings, approaches, competitors and the verdict process on the situation with a precise aim of settling on sophisticated choices. Besides, the press drives around as a critical watch to popularity founded decisions, defending the frankness in the procedure. During the 2005 gathering to commemorate World Press Freedom Day worldwide, an affirmation was formed which concentrated on "independent and mixed press are rudimentary for assuring forthrightness, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Writing A Persuasive Essay It's a simple enough idea, write an essay about a topic for credit. I'll admit I've written good essays in the past, I just have one issue with this topic; I am not a persuasive person. I don't have a passion to write about, or an idea in my head. Even if I was passionate about something, I doubt I have the skill to convince you. My arguments would consist of why I like the topic (or hate it) with an extreme bias, and I doubt that you would be moved. I couldn't convince you that the long hours of school take a toll on the students. Even if others agree with me, the way I word things, the lack of passion and my lack of being able to be assertive is the reason why I can't write this essay. First things first, the way I word my thoughts. Regardless...show more content... You'll get this definition: "The writer takes a stand on an issue–either "for" or "against"–and builds the strongest possible argument to win over the reader. In a persuasive essay, it's the writer's job to convince the reader to accept a particular point of view or take a specific action." Along with a bunch of How Tos. I've have taken a stand that is very passive–aggressive, on why I can't write this essay. I know what you're thinking, this is ridiculous. Just think of it like this, as you sit there reading me ramble on and give excuses. You're starting to listen. Yes, you have been in my spot before, lack of passion words don't form right and you're just not clear enough. I see the irony here, this very essay, it contradicts itself. A persuasive essay on why I can't write a persuasive essay. In the end it's genius, I'm not faking an opinion or sing someone's thoughts. You might have considered this option before but it seemed too stupid. You looked up prompt after prompt. Nothing. When you finally settle you know it's not your best work and the grade shows. Or you did it last minute, reworded someone else's essay. You've even considered turning in nothing, I mean what's the point Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Persuasive Speech On Social Media Essay Purpose: To persuade my audience to minimize their phone usage. Thesis: Stay in the present moment, don't let yourself believe you're going to forget a memory because you didn't document it through social media. Claim: Policy Organizational Pattern: Problem–Solution I. Introduction A. Attention Getter: Four Years of your life is wasted to what's sitting inside all of your pockets right now; your cellphone. The average person spends roughly 90 minutes a day playing on their phone, whether it's checking emails, Snapchatting or scrolling through your Twitter feed. According to The Dailymail.com we unlock our phones at least 110 times per day! We've become almost dependent on these devices over time, and it needs to stop. We rely on our phones everyday to wake us up for school and to know the time of day. B. Relevance: We live in a world of ever changing technology. Products are always getting upgraded every year and everyone wants the biggest and newest thing on the market. It's hard to not get caught up in all the buzz of things. We feel almost "naked" without our phones; our attachment to them is overwhelming. Without them we feel as though we're missing out on what's happening in the world. Our heads are always down; our thumbs are always swiping up and down on our newsfeed. We're living a life that is more involved in someone else's social media accounts than our own. C. Credibility: As a student at this university I've realized every person on the quad has their heads Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Persuasive Essay Vacation The average American receives ten days of paid vacation a year and millions of workers do not even use them all. Vacation provides a much–needed escape from the daily grind and hustle n bustle of the work routine. The best kind of vacations include family and friends, lively experiences, new countries, cultures, and the promise of relaxation. Relaxing on the beach in the Bahamas, ziplining in Sao Paulo, horse backing in the Andes Mountains, or exploring the city of Vienna in Austria all provide a different experience in a new country and culture. Experiencing and exploring with friends and family is even better; allowing for stronger relationships and creating enjoyable memories for years to come. One aspect of a fun vacation is spending time with friends and family. No matter if in a new country or a new neighborhood, exploring new places and experiencing new things together can strengthen friendships and bonds between family members. Having shared memories from a particular vacation can be a helpful reminder of a happy time when a family relationship or friendship turns sour. While on my trip to Ecuador over the summer, I went with twelve over classmates and also ten other high school students from around the country. Although the girls from school I traveled with were acquaintances at the beginning of the trip, by the end of the eleven days living together in a foreign country, we became best friends and still are today. In addition, the students I did not know before Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 13. Persuasive Essay On Saving Money Saving money is an important part of your financial health. The more you save, the more you can feel at ease whenever a rainy day might hit. You cannot predict the future but you can prepare for it. If you prepare now, your future self will thank you. But how can you save if you have so many bills and only one stream of income? Here are some tips you can use to rack up that account with a single income. Try to make a budget, it will be your blueprint for your finances. The first step for anyone wanting to take control of their finances is to make a budget. A budget will allow you to understand where your money is going and enable you to adjust your spending by designating how much you can afford. Creating a budget is a good idea for everyone, but especially for individuals with limited income. Write down your budget, with specific categories of spending, and stick to it. Start slowly by using a percentage on how much you will save versus spend. A plan doesn't work unless you work the plan. Do not live a life that you cannot handle, spend within your means. Be honest with yourself, if you can't afford something, don't buy it! Affordability is much more than the amount of money in your bank account, it also is how long it will take for the money you spent to be back in your account. Think of your finances as a long term process, not a short term fix. This is also why you should limit your credit card usage. The same research also shows that stress can contribute to major illnesses such as heart disease, depression, and obesity. There are many proactive ways we can avoid the problems caused by our experiences with stress. But perhaps the one surefire solution is also the most simple: ask for help! A countless number of young teens are attempting or have successfully taken their own lives due to pain that has being inflicted on them. Without being able to actually cope with the pain, they use suicide as the solution of ending all of their suffering. Various people don't actually get what is suicide yes it when someone kills themselves, but it can also be someone who attempts to. People may think that one just takes their life just to get the attention of others however, that is not true. The world just has numerous of things happening all at once, that there isn't enough time to focus on just one thing. Along with the pressures of having to look a certain way and hostility of others isn't helping either. Throughout the course of my research, with the work of innumerable authors has furnished me with a way to approach my inquiry. • 17. Persuasive Exercise Essay INTRODUCTION ATTENTION:I. Think of four important people in your life. One of these four people will be diagnosed with heart disease, diabetes, obesity, or depression in the course of their life, which may eventually cause death. Imagine if that person had simply exercised for 30 minutes, 4–5 times a week. They would most likely not be suffering from the disease, and living a happy healthy life. II. • 18. Reflection Of A Persuasive Reflection Reflection of a Persuasive Essay by Vickie Hale In my revision, I decided to incorporate actionable feedback from the feedback I received. The feedback I received was that my essay needed more clarification, I choose to use this feedback to help make my argument more developed, I wanted to create a better thought out essay and I worked on the clarification of my argument as well as renewed my research. With that, I did some critical thinking to help work through the weak areas of my essay which was the structure and syntax. Therefore, I incorporated these suggestions because they helped me to improve my essay and help me to create a more persuasive essay. Without these changes alongside the small revisions, I made, I do not believe my essay would have been as well–written so they were much needed. My biggest challenges came from not being able to pin down my argument, it took me a while to come find a side to an argument that wasn't vague. Because, I usually write in a creative way, which does not necessarily have to be persuasive, I usually write fictional stories and people getting the understanding from the experiences of the characters is the outcome, but with persuasive writing, you are trying to get your readers to not only agree with your side of the argument but to see what and why you are arguing your side in the first place. This became difficult for me because I kept feeling like my argument was not central and a little vague. I worked on trying to help my readers understand what and why I was arguing my side of the argument. I had to think about who was reading my essay and this helped. What I could have done differently is choose a more central argument, I believe it would have reduced my challenges. This question is hard for me to answer because I did not receive but one peer feedback, the feedback I incorporated concerning my exploration of the issue was more clarification because that was one of the problems my peer review pointed out. I worked on my clarification because it is one of the main elements, that is needed when you are writing a persuasive essay or any essay for that matter. Clarification gives the essay structure so your readers can have a full understanding of your Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Persuasive Essay On Nature Despite what mankind would like to believe, humans are animals. As multi–celled organisms, we consume other organic matter, change the land for own uses as a beaver would build a dam, and as other mammals, we are all fed breast milk from our mothers when we were young. Yet there is this disconnection and alienation of the human race towards other species. Moreover, through fear of taking action, the convenience provided to us if we simply choose to ignore the environment, and the alienation of other species that are endangered by our actions, the hostile and uncaring attitude of humans towards nature is the core reason for many of the problems in our environment today. As a 17–year old teenager going to high school, contrary to the environmental activist, David Suzuki's, remarks about the ignorance of humans about nature, I receive much information about these kinds of problems at my school, from dedicated assemblies, eco fairs and special days that address our responsibility to deal with nature in a more responsible fashion. Yet, when the school day is over, all of the information seeps out of the roof of the school; plastic water bottles are still found in the corners of hallways and leftover Tim Hortons cups are still present in the desks of my former Business class. Even when I step inside the door of my house, the disconnection from nature is apparent. Most of my time at home is spent looking at a screen and doing homework and the only sign of nature would be the fly Get more content on HelpWriting.net

According to the American Psychological Association, stress is so prevalent today that it's becoming a public health crisis. In fact, most Americans suffer from a moderate to a high amount of stress daily. This is mainly caused by worrying about things like finances, work, and the state of the economy. When you're concerned about your health, you'll understand that stress isn't something you want to deal with over the long–term. It has you living in a continuous stress of heightened awareness that isn't good for your heart or blood pressure. For this reason, you really need to find healthy ways of combatting the stress you face in your life. Take Time for Self Care Self–care is the number one best way to destress today. There are many great ways you can do this, including: Take time to meditate or do yoga. Doing so changes your brain's neural pathways so you're more resilient to stress. This is especially true when you focus on a positive mantra, such as "I love myself." Take some time to get together with your friends and do something fun. Share with them what's going on in your life. This gives you a new perspective on your issues too. When you only have 10 minutes to decompress, put a warm heat wrap around your neck and shoulders, close your eyes, and relax. Once you remove the wrap, try rolling a massager over your back and feel your tension melt away. Head to the gym daily. While this may seem like a lot, but Fitness Magazine says you should do 30 minutes of cardio exercise every day. This includes anything that raises your heart rate, including running, brisk walking, swimming, and biking. You should also do strength training at least twice a week such as squats, push–ups, lunges, weight training, planks, and jumping jacks. These release feel–good chemicals in your brain that help you deal with stress. When you don't have time for these things, park further from a store, take the steps instead of the elevator, or go for a short walk. 5 Minutes to Decompress Stop saying you're stressed because you don't have enough time to decompress.
