1. CAN/CAN'T
Can means POTERE and SAPER FARE, and it is used only in the present tense, no S in
the third singular person and it is followed by another verb in the base form.
Can and can't are not follow by TO.
The modal verb CAN has got five main meanings:
1.Ability (ex. I can ski very well)
2. Opportunity (ex.We can go to the cinema tonight)
3. Permission (ex. Can I go to the toilette, please?)
4. Request (ex. Can I leave my dog here for the weekend?)
5. Possibility (ex.We can't swim in that river)

We use CAN in
affermative sentences to
express abilities.
We use CAN'T in negative
sentences to express
inabilities.
