2. INTRODUCTION
Holidays – is a very important part of school days, which help to make them
brighter. Also they help pupils to relax and restore their forces. There are many
holidays, which are celebrated in our school. Pupils always wait for these holidays
with impatience. We are going to describe these holidays in our presentation.
3. TYPES OF HOLIDAYS
There aren’t any holidays without purpose– they are thought out for a certain goal .
This means,that a holiday is celebrated successfuly not only if you ate a lot of tasty
food, but also if you remembered the purpose of gathering together with your
guests. Without this, your holiday will be just a simple dinner.There are three types
of holidays: Official, unofficial and profesdional. It depends on the holiday’s
purpose.
4. OFFICIAL HOLIDAYS
Official holidays are celebrated in the whole country, or even in the whole world.
Often people go to public places to celebrate such holidays. Of
course, we celebrate them at school too. We would like to show you
some examples of these holidays. Usually the school doesn’t work at
these holidays, so we celebrate them before/after the holiday starts.
5. 9 MAY – THE
VICTORY DAY
The day of victory of USSR upon the nazzi
Germany is one of the most important holidays.
There are a lot of events in honour of this day in
our school. Pupils visit the veterans, veterans
visit our school to talk to us in the assembly
hall.
6. NEW YEAR
New year is a holiday we celebrate on the last day of the year.
Before it comes, we put a Christmas Tree near the main doors
and all pupils decorate their classrooms. Right before we go on
our winter vacations we celebrate The New year in our assembly
hall. Every class goes with their own special event.
7. PROFESSIONAL HOLIDAYS
Every profession has its own goal. And almost every of them has its
own professional holiday. Usually we celebrate it with people, whose
profession is the reason of the holiday.
8. TEACHERS’ DAY
This is a holiday, created for people ,whose work in
education sphere.When this day comes we put a red road
that leads to school, and at the end of this road teachers
are given flowers by pupils
9. KNOWLEDGE DAY
September the1st is the beginning of the school year
for pupils and teachers.Traditionaly pupils go in two
big lanes, give their teachers chocolates and flowers
and communicate with classmates they probably
haven’t seen the whole summer.
10. UNOFFICIAL HOLIDAYS
Unofficial holidays are types of holidays, that aren’t considered
official by the law. These holidays are created to remember
something that happened in the past. We usually do some tasks for
these holidays, for example, making gift cards.
11. ST.
VALENTINE’S
DAY
St. Valentine’s day is a holiday, wich is celebrated
on the 14th of February. Anualy our school has
some events wich are connected with this day.
Usually we make some gift cards or wallpapers.
12. HALLOWEEN
This holiday is celebrated on the 31st of October. Usualy
pupils dress up scary costumes and walk like this at school
the whole day. Often we celebrate Halloween in our
assembly hall, where we can participate in some
competitions and win some prizes.
13. CONCLUSION
In conclusion we want to say, that our school not only gives us
knowledge, but it also gives us a good way to spend some holidays.
