4. child labour is the practice of having children engage in economic
activities on part or full time basis the practise deprives children of
their childhood and is harmful to their physicsl and mental
development
The International Labor Organization estimates that 215 million
children between the ages of 5 and 17 currently work under conditions
that are considered illegal, hazardous, or extremely exploitative.
Underage children work at all sorts of jobs around the world, usually
because they and their families are extremely poor. Large numbers of
children work in commercial agriculture, fishing, manufacturing,
mining, and domestic service. Some children work in illicit activities
like the drug trade and prostitution or other traumatic activities such
as serving as soldiers.
6. • In Pakistan a large number of children are working at different places .
A survey shows that in Pakistan about 3.8 million children are working
in the age range of 5 to 14 years . And even 2.8 million children are in
the age range of 5 to 9 years . These figures tells that how much serious
is the problem of child labour in Pakistan
• child labour’s are not working by their own choice but they are the
victims of their circumstances and we are taking benefit of their
compulsions
