3. Introduction
• The term “sustainable development” first
came to prominence in the world
Conservation Strategy (WCS) in 1980.
• Sustainable development is the organizing
principle for meeting human
developmentgoals while simultaneously
sustaining the ability of natural systems to
provide the natural resources and ecosystem
servicesbased upon which the economy and
society depend.
4. Definition
• Sustainable development can be defined as an
approach to the economic development of a
country without compromising with the quality of
the environment for future generations.
• In the name of economic development, the price of
environmental damage is paid in the form of land
degradation, soil erosion, air and water pollution,
deforestation, etc.
• This damage may surpass the advantages of
having more quality output of goods and services.
7. Importance of Sustainable Development in Economic growth
Sustainable development is important for
economic growth because:
(i) Environment must be conserved while
development is taking place.
(ii) Resources must be used in such a way that
something is conserved for future
generations.
(iii) The standard of living of all people must be
raised.
9. 2.Green Space
Green spaces are locations
where plants and animals
are left to flourish. Parks
also fall into the category of
green spaces. Green spaces
provide people a remarkable
opportunity to take pleasure
in outdoor recreation, more
so in big cities, where resting
space is hard to come by.
10. 3.Crop Rotation
Crop rotation, way of
farming is not a new
practice, but rather a
more ancient way of
farming chemical-free,
whilst maximizing the
long-term growth
potential of land.
11. Wind turbines are a great
solution for power
generation due to their cost
and the fact that they
require a very small land
footprint.
4.Wind Energy
12. Conclussion
• Sustainable development always encourages
us to conserve and enhance our resources, by
gradually changing the manners in which we
develop and use technologies. All Countries
should meet their basic needs of
employment, food, energy, water, and
sanitation
