1. 48 yr male with history of motorbike accident on 31/3/22 in
Assam.

9. Anterior column fixation
• Fracture exposed using ilioinguinal approach
• Pre existing skeletal traction pin was used to for tractioin to
disimpact the femoral head but this was not sufficient.
• Schanz screw with T handle was used to pull the femur
lateraly and infereiorly.
• Now head of femur disimpacted.
• Collinear clamp was used for compression of the fractured
fragments.
• Head of femur came at anatomical site on compression of
collinear clamp.
• Fixation done using matta plate.

10. Posterior colum fixation
• Kocher and Langenbeck approach.
• Curvilinear incision given in lateral position.
• Fixation done using the Matta plate and one third tubular plate.
• Skeletal traction applied
