Purpose: - This purpose of this study is to identify the best sports bike for youth in Jaipur.
Design/Methodology/Approach: - The analytical hierarchy process approach (AHP) is used to
identify the best entertainment place for youth in Jaipur. The data was collected using an online and
offline survey. MS Excel is used for analysis.
Findings: - This study identifies the following key criteria on the basis of which the young crowd
identifies or rates a bike:-
Price
Mileage
Top speed
Style
Resale value
Maintenance
We covered areas like India Gate, Kumbha marg, Pratapnagar and Gaurav Tower.

Research limitations/implications: - The findings of the study are based on a preliminary survey
(Sample Size = 350) in the college followed by an extensive offline and online questionnaire. The
generalization of the proposed framework is limited to the age group of 17 to 25 years.
The bikes that we choose for survey are:
Pulsar(150)
R-15 (150)
FZ(150)
Apache(150)
Hunk(150)
Originality/value: - The study could be of value to those small, medium or large scale organizations
that are inclined in catering to the youth of Jaipur. The survey is also helpful for those companies that
are planning to launch any new bike model that are aimed at the youngsters of the city. From the
collected data, we will calculate the average and will find out the most preferred bike among youths.
Key words: - Sports bike, AHP, Jaipur City

INTRODUCTION
This selection of bikes begins with making questioner and end with recommendation.
Between this processes wefollowed various techniques for selection of bestbikes in
Jaipur city for youth. We have used the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) as a
general problem solving method that is useful in making complex decisions (e.g. multi
criterion decision) based on variables that do not have numerical consequences.
This survey for selection of best bike within the city has been done keeping following
points in mind:-
1. Price of the bike
2. Mileage given by the bike
3. Looks and style of the bike i.e. model
4. Speed given by the bike
5. Time and costinvolved in maintenance
6. Re sale value
We interacted mainly with youth between 17-25 agegroups and tried to collect their
view on selection of bikes. We made the assumptions for criteria and alternatives
from1-7 score.
8. SurveyonBikes
8
We visited different places like India Gate, Khumba marg, Pratapnagar and Gaurav
Tower to fill the form. We selected these places because most of the youth in Jaipur
come over there.
After filling the forms from online and offline mode we calculated and evaluated the
excel sheet for the selection of best bike.

A survey done by Mark Hinchliefe on 8 sept;2015 named “Survey reveals best-rated
motorcycles” mainly said that motorcycle brand loyalty is not as important as
value, quality, reliability, features and price, according to our recent global
survey of readers. Price was most important to buyers of Japanese motorcycles,
with about one in three Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha owners naming this as their
main purchasing decision. Only one in five Kawasaki buyers considered price a
major factor.
Another survey done by Collin Woodard on 26.april.2015 named “The Most
Reliable Motorcycle Brands You Can Buy” mainly said that Yamaha is the top-
scoring brand for reliability, followed by Suzuki, Honda, and Kawasaki. Buying
American isn’t a bad decision, though, with Victory edging out Harley-
Davidson. The least reliable brands were Triumph, Ducati, BMW, and Can-Am.
3rd survey done on April 07 2015 was “Who makes the most reliable
motorcycle?” We rate 10 big brands i.e. Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki,
victory, Harley Davidson, triumph, Ducati, BMW and Can am.
LEVELSOFLOCATIONDECISIONS AND ITS
DETERMINING FACTORS
The youth has to take decisions based on five bikes:-
1. Pulsar
2. Hunk
3. Apache
4. R15
5. FZ
The following factors play a significant role the selection of best bike:-
1. Price
2. Mileage
3. Top speed
4. Re-sale value
5. Maintenance
6. Style
We asked customers to give their suggestions also.

METHODOLOGY
The data used in this research paper is primary in nature and collected by ONLINE (50
forms) OFFLINE (300 forms).
DATA ANALYSIS:-
For the purposeof analysis of data the AHP analysis has been used.
AHP ANALYSIS:-
WHY AHP?
Deals with quantifiable and intangible criteria.
Systematic procedurefor representing elements of a hierarchy.
No guess involved and judgments can be made in a verbal mode.
Supports executive decisions, applies knowledge, derives priorities and ranks
alternatives.
Decision modelling typically consists of five steps:
(1) Structuring the decision model,
(2) Entering alternatives,
(3) Establishing priorities among elements of the hierarchy,
(4) Synthesizing, and
(5) Conducting sensitivity analysis.
11. SurveyonBikes
11
In our project, we have taken several bikes, to look at how the customers select best
bikes in jaipur city.
The goal is to set a better of the following location in Jaipur-
India Gate,
Khumba marg,
Pratapnagar and
Gaurav Tower
These were the areas highly preferred by youth. The main criteria in this decision are:
Price
Mileage
Top speed
Style
Resale value
Maintenance
The store locations we are considering are a suburban area.

Re-sale value 0.154 0.154 0.153 0.154 0.155 0.154 0.154
In calculation of this pair wise comparison matrix first we calculated the priority of all
the criteria’s.
12. SurveyonBikes
12
The priority of price is highest i.e. 0.176 and the priority of re-sale value is least i.e.
0.154.
This shows that customers look at price of the bike first and re-sale value of the at last.
Priority of top speed and maintenance of bike is same i.e. 0.163.
Priority of mileage is 0.171.
Priority of style is 0.172.

Pulsar 0.166
R15 0.166
FZ 0.166
Apache 0.201
Hunk 0.202
Overall score of Hunk is highest. So customer
prefers Hunk.
After calculating the consistency ratio we made summary sheet and then we came
to know that hunk is the bestbike for youth in Jaipur city.
Scoreof Hunk is highest i.e. 0.202 and Apache is near to that i.e. 0.201.
Pulsar, R15 and FZ are not that preferred bikes according to our survey because
their scoreis almost same i.e. 0.166 score.
GRAPHICAL REPRESNTATION OF SCORES
BASED ON CRITERIA
15. SurveyonBikes
15
According to this graph we can see that,
In PRICE, Pulsar is most preferred bike and R15 is least preferred bike.
In MIEAGE, Pulsar is least preferred bike and R15 is most preferred bike.
In STYLE, Apache is least preferred bike and Pulsar is most preferred bike.
In TOP SPEED, Hunk is most preferred and Pulsar, R-15 and FZ scores zero
(according to our survey).
In MAINTENANCE, Pulsar is most preferred and FZ is least preferred.
In RE-SALE VALUE, Apache is most preferred and R15.
So, finally we can see that in final scoreHunk is the bestbike for your in all aspects.

CONCLUSION
ADVANTAGES:-
o The Analytical Hierarchy Process uses scientific proof for evaluation of different
criteria.
o It differs from conventional decision analysis methodologies by not requiring users to
make numerical guesses.
DISADVANTAGES:-
o Cannot be used where decision problems are not be structured hierarchically.
CONCLUSION:-
o AHP is by far the most commonly used multi criteria decision making model since its
formulation by Saaty and Kearns in 1985.
o Hence, using AHP we conclude that, considering various criteria like price, speed,
style, mileage, maintenance and re sale value Hunk is the best bike for youth in Jaipur.
