country
You MUST include the following information:
Population
Climate
Area (size in km)
Average life expectancy
Major exports and imports
GDP (see next slide)

2. WHAT IS GDP? GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT
• GDP is a measure used in
economics of the size of a
territory’s economy.
• It represents the total value of all
products or goods that have
been manufactured and all
services that have been
provided during a specified
period of time (usually a year).
• It is usually measured in US
dollars.

3. WHAT ARE IMPORTS
& EXPORTS?
• exports (noun) – goods and services
sent (sold) to another country
• export (verb) – to send out of the
country (for sale) goods and services
• imports (noun) – goods and services
brought into a country (purchased)
from another country
• import (verb) – to bring goods and
services into a country (purchased) from
outside that country
