Mark Zuckerberg; The Epitome of Leadership
Facebook, the currently most populous social networking site is
the pearl of investment in
the contemporary times. Having emanated from the creativity of
a college student from his
dormitory in the company of other colleagues, the firm has
evolved from a roll out to select
campus colleges to have more than two billion subscribers as at
2019 (Katherine, 2019). The
organization’s success is hinged on workforce efficiency by
having the best skills from around
the globe, well founded departments that complement the works
of each other, a good strategic
decision making process as well as the a culture of excellence
that has earned the company the
positive reputation it has today (Katherine, 2019). However, the
greatest asset of the organization
is its founder, chairman and chief executive officer, Mark
Zuckerberg.
Born in White place, New York, in the United States of
America, Mark Zuckerberg is the
quintessential epitome of modern innovation and dedication to a
passion through life. Although
the leader came from a relatively well to do family, it is his
personalities that has seen him propel
the company to the level of becoming the model for young
entrepreneurship (Valinsky, 2019).
There is a track of great passion in his life. Zuckerberg started
computer programming at a very
early age. He later quit college to concentrate on the company
affairs. Even though he started the
company from a humble beginning, from a campus dormitory,
he has risen to become the
youngest self made billionaire in the current times. The CEO
has driven the firm out of scandals
and controversies that could have deflated its progress
(Valinsky, 2019). It is his leadership
qualities that have seen his success.
Integrity is the ability to have a clear work ethic fabric to guide
decision making and
activities embarked on by a leader. While driving the company,
Mark has resisted the allure of
money through unethical practices. Instead he has chosen to
steer right, making corrections in
operations to make the company responsible for social
transformation across the globe. Even in
scandals such as the litigations filed for fake news, he has
offered a firm leadership from the
mess. Purpose is a key principle of leadership. It entails having
a consistent direction to achieve
the sought after results. From his days in college, he knew had a
strong sense of direction and a
vision for what he has today. This is the spirit that has
propelled him to his current status.
Discipline, both in the profession and the realms of social life
are a vital attribute of Mark
Zuckerberg. This principle entails the ability to stick to life
rules and foregoing the pleasure of
laxity, vices and other unproductive qualities (Qadri, 2016).
Zuckerberg has outshone other
notable leaders by respecting employees, helping them through
personal development and
positively influenced young entrepreneurs. It is work discipline
that has helped him weave an
efficient workforce and garnered the positive reputation
attributed to the company. Another
positive aspect of the CEO is his sacrifice towards success. This
quality entails foregoing
temporary reprieves and pleasures and choosing the right path
while keeping one’s eyes on their
target (Qadri, 2016). The leader forewent college education,
earning exorbitant profits through
exploitation and choosing to overcome personal ego
consequently guiding the young generation
into the right path.
Finally, Mark Zuckerberg has demonstrated compassion towards
others who are parties
to his life and even those with difficulties. Compassion entails
minding the welfare of others and
ensuring your actions are for their common good even when the
course seems expensive
(Northouse, 2017). Such has been the trait of the youthful CEO
when traversing to all parts in the
world mentoring the young and his generosity to social courses
especially in developing
countries. While looking at the life of the Facebook founder one
finds both an entrepreneur and
an inspiration to the current youthful generation and to other
leader of big corporations.

Final Research Paper for Global Leadership
This paper offers all an opportunity that is quite different then
what all are used to in this
course and other courses as well. Yes, the mechanics, length,
formatting are still the same.
However, you will be looking at company and or an individual
through a totally different lens.
You will be looking at the subject of your research through the
lens provided by Dr. Jay Clark
with his “The Five Principles of Global Leadership” as well as
Adam Grant’s “Give and Take”
This research project is very different then what are all used to.
So below are the criteria.
• Find a Company or a Senior Manager (it may be easier to
concentrate on a specific
senior manager within a company), that you can apply as many
of the Five Principles
of Global Leadership to.
• You will need to be as specific as you can in application of;
Integrity, Purpose,
Sacrifice, Discipline and Compassion to. Again, you will find
some of the Principle’s
are very easy to relate to, and some might be more difficult.
That is to be expected,
so don’t worry about that.
• What you will want to look for is a company/senior manager
that truly believes in
developing this type of manager. You want to find a company
that REALLY cares
about their people as much as the business. You don’t want to
find a company that
talks about it, but really does not work with the concept.
• Obviously, the important aspect is that the subject of your
research must be in the
Global Environment
• While working on the paper, you want to also look at it from
the Give and Take
mindset, this aspect might just be an overview.
• The paper falls under all the norms of formatting in regard to
APA, double spaced, 10
pages of content at a minimum, in addition to cover page and
reference page.

Having emanated from the creativity of a college student from his dormitory in the company of other colleagues, the firm has evolved from a roll out to select campus colleges to have more than two billion subscribers as at 2019 (Katherine, 2019). The organization’s success is hinged on workforce efficiency by having the best skills from around the globe, well founded departments that complement the works of each other, a good strategic decision making process as well as the a culture of excellence
  • 2. that has earned the company the positive reputation it has today (Katherine, 2019). However, the greatest asset of the organization is its founder, chairman and chief executive officer, Mark Zuckerberg. Born in White place, New York, in the United States of America, Mark Zuckerberg is the quintessential epitome of modern innovation and dedication to a passion through life. Although the leader came from a relatively well to do family, it is his personalities that has seen him propel the company to the level of becoming the model for young entrepreneurship (Valinsky, 2019). There is a track of great passion in his life. Zuckerberg started computer programming at a very early age. He later quit college to concentrate on the company affairs. Even though he started the company from a humble beginning, from a campus dormitory, he has risen to become the youngest self made billionaire in the current times. The CEO has driven the firm out of scandals
  • 3. and controversies that could have deflated its progress (Valinsky, 2019). It is his leadership qualities that have seen his success. Integrity is the ability to have a clear work ethic fabric to guide decision making and activities embarked on by a leader. While driving the company, Mark has resisted the allure of money through unethical practices. Instead he has chosen to steer right, making corrections in operations to make the company responsible for social transformation across the globe. Even in scandals such as the litigations filed for fake news, he has offered a firm leadership from the mess. Purpose is a key principle of leadership. It entails having a consistent direction to achieve the sought after results. From his days in college, he knew had a strong sense of direction and a vision for what he has today. This is the spirit that has propelled him to his current status. Discipline, both in the profession and the realms of social life are a vital attribute of Mark Zuckerberg. This principle entails the ability to stick to life rules and foregoing the pleasure of laxity, vices and other unproductive qualities (Qadri, 2016).
  • 4. Zuckerberg has outshone other notable leaders by respecting employees, helping them through personal development and positively influenced young entrepreneurs. It is work discipline that has helped him weave an efficient workforce and garnered the positive reputation attributed to the company. Another positive aspect of the CEO is his sacrifice towards success. This quality entails foregoing temporary reprieves and pleasures and choosing the right path while keeping one’s eyes on their target (Qadri, 2016). The leader forewent college education, earning exorbitant profits through exploitation and choosing to overcome personal ego consequently guiding the young generation into the right path. Finally, Mark Zuckerberg has demonstrated compassion towards others who are parties to his life and even those with difficulties. Compassion entails minding the welfare of others and ensuring your actions are for their common good even when the

Such has been the trait of the youthful CEO when traversing to all parts in the world mentoring the young and his generosity to social courses especially in developing countries. While looking at the life of the Facebook founder one finds both an entrepreneur and an inspiration to the current youthful generation and to other leader of big corporations. Yes, the mechanics, length, formatting are still the same. However, you will be looking at company and or an individual through a totally different lens. You will be looking at the subject of your research through the lens provided by Dr. Jay Clark with his “The Five Principles of Global Leadership” as well as Adam Grant’s “Give and Take” This research project is very different then what are all used to. So below are the criteria. • Find a Company or a Senior Manager (it may be easier to concentrate on a specific senior manager within a company), that you can apply as many of the Five Principles of Global Leadership to. • You will need to be as specific as you can in application of; Integrity, Purpose,
  • 7. Sacrifice, Discipline and Compassion to. Again, you will find some of the Principle’s are very easy to relate to, and some might be more difficult. That is to be expected, so don’t worry about that. • What you will want to look for is a company/senior manager that truly believes in developing this type of manager. You want to find a company that REALLY cares about their people as much as the business. You don’t want to find a company that talks about it, but really does not work with the concept. • Obviously, the important aspect is that the subject of your research must be in the Global Environment • While working on the paper, you want to also look at it from the Give and Take mindset, this aspect might just be an overview. • The paper falls under all the norms of formatting in regard to APA, double spaced, 10 pages of content at a minimum, in addition to cover page and reference page.
