Personal Statement
I started my career in an unorthodox way: delivering science and technology news directly to live
audiences from a stage. I was an early member of the experimental Current Science &
Technology Center at Boston's Museum of Science, an effort to bring cutting edge science to adult
members of the public through extended interactions with science journalists in an informal
education setting.
I was fortunate enough to work alongside a graduate of the Columbia University School of
Journalism, a former producer for NOVA, the current executive director of the National
Association of Science Writers, and other highly skilled science communicators. I considered these
people my journalism professors, and worked with them to develop the skills ... Show more content

I planned the episodes, booked guests, and served as host, producer, and editor of the show,
interviewing researchers, explorers, and inventors from a wide variety of disciplines. A year after
launching the show, it was awarded the American Association of Museum's 2007 Gold Muse
Award, the top honor granted for teaching and outreach by one of the largest museum associations in
the world. In all, I conducted roughly 150 interviews for podcasts or video during my time at the
museum, and dozens more during live presentations.
While I was at the Museum of Science, I started Boston Behind the Scenes, my own independent
podcast profiling ordinary and extraordinary people around the Boston area. This is a human–
interest interview show that introduces the audience to local people, from street vendors to
newspaper editors. Through work on that podcast, I became involved in an iPod–based documentary
tour project. This allowed me the financial freedom to begin working full–time as a freelance new
media journalist and producer.
The two most prominent positions I have assumed recently are as host, producer, and editor of new
media programs for the education division of Nature and for the Journal of the National
Cancer Institute. The first, for Nature, is a biweekly video series called Simply

Technology in Life
In the past people have difficult life because of many things and technology is one of them .As we
know, technology is very important in our life for many reasons, it makes life easy, save the time
and improve the quality . Day to day we see new technology and suitable for everyone , so no thing
stay as it is.If we aske old man or woman will know how they suffered because of having poor of
technology. In the future many types of technology will change and comes with new ideas. That is
whey every country takes care of the technology. Oman is also go ahead for this and it want to be
the best. In this project I will talk about the future of technology in Oman and how it will be
effective .
when we talk about technology ,that means we human are talking about something that made the life
of easy and us do a lot of things in a short time . so my point is technology is too important in this
geuiration.
As we know, Oman has good technology and it provides the citizens with technology. But we want
do this plan improve technology and develop it by studding it here in Oman and making new
inventions by support the students. If we do this plan, we will have great strong technology in
future. That what we really want, strong future by technology. So we have to start the plan right
now.
Last point, Technology has effected human to good way. Because technology has advantages more

The smartphone market is one of today's most rapid growing industries. A smartphone is a
technologically advanced communication device that not only performs the actions of a basic
mobile phone, but it also allows the consumer to personalize the device with installable applications
from an Internet based store for maximum functionality (Smartphone, 2015). A recent annual report
from Mary Meeker on Internet trends reported that 87 % of young adults, those between the ages of
18 and 34, who own smartphones are never separated from them. Her report also showed that 4 out
of 5 young adults say that they reach for their smartphones as soon as they awaken each day
(Hackett, 2015). The smartphone industry is made up of a number of firms located around the world
that design, manufacture, and sell smartphones in various markets. The major industry competitors
are Samsung (South Korea), Apple, Inc. (U.S.), Lenovo (China), Huawei (China), & L G Electronics
(South Korea). These were the top five competitors for the first quarter 2015 (IDC, 2015). The
smartphone industry changes quickly due to new products being introduced almost weekly. The
industry is represented by fast developing technology and designs, short product life cycles,
aggressive pricing, quick imitation of products, technological advancements, and highly price
sensitive consumers. The rate of technological change has

How Technology Has Impacted Education
Introduction
Education is defined as 'the act or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing
the powers of reasoning and judgement, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually
for mature life.' A good education leads to knowledge, career progression, enlightenment and helps a
nation progress, as John F. Kennedy said; "Our progress as a nation can be no swifter than our
progress in education. The human mind is our fundamental resource." The introduction of
technology in education has impacted education both for good and bad. According to the Oxford
dictionary, Technology is; 'machinery and devices that are developed from scientific knowledge to
increase or better, everyday functions.' Technology used in education, is part of a large debate over
whether it is improving educational outcomes in students. Some say technology is revolutionizing
education for the better, and others say it is a trend that offer/s no specific improvements to
education. Although technology can never replace a good quality teacher, the advantages and
benefits of technology, positively supplements a bridge between education and the technological
world, hence offers students the marketable job skills they need in order to satisfy in the evolving
technological world.
Relevant interviews and surveys were conducted, to discover peoples understanding of technology.

Use Of Technology And Social Media
The use of technology and social media makes our life a lot easier. Social media and technology
play a huge role in our everyday life and friendship. In today's world, people, mostly teenagers use
social media and technology every day to communicate and interact with others. Technology gives
us an opportunity to connect with anybody we want from anywhere we are, saving us time.
According to "Daily News" 84 percent of people worldwide say they couldn't go a single day
without their mobile device in their hand. That means almost everybody uses their phone in order to
communicate and stay updated. I use my phone every single day and I cannot imagine living my life
without a smartphone. I go on social media websites every day to connect with friends and see what
they are doing. It is the fastest way to interact with friends and I love technology for that. A couple
decades ago people didn't have good communication devices therefore it was much harder for them
to connect with each other. Technology makes it much more convenient and easy for us to use,
saving us a lot of time. Having technology makes our life easier and at the same time virtual. It is
very convenient and just normal for our society to use it everyday. In my opinion modern
technology provides more options and opportunities to connect with our friends. I really don't think
that technology and social media ruin our friendships like most people would say. It all depends on
how you use it. Technology and Social media

Comprehensive Classroom Technology Plan
Introduction
Society is becoming more reliant upon technology every day. Technology is found in hospitals,
banks, grocery stores, homes, and schools across the nation. As technology becomes more prevalent
in the classroom, teachers need to learn how to use it effectively. Differentiating instruction,
facilitating learning, enhancing communication, and facilitating instruction are all appropriate ways
to use technology in the classroom (Standards for Teachers). Once these types of technology are
mastered, student performance, creativity, and thirst for knowledge should begin to increase. ...

Section Two: Communications Plan
Introduction
No matter where one lives or what job is held, one thing remains necessary for success to occur,
communication. Effective communication enables bosses to communicate with employees, family
and friends to talk with one another, and teachers to communicate with students and parents. It is
this communication that lays the ground work for success in any situation. Today, many people rely
on various forms of technology to communicate with one another. The advancements in technology
make sending out important reminders, cute pictures, or a simple life update quick and efficient. It is
no different in the world of education. Teachers must learn how to use effective technology
communication tools such as class websites, social media, e–mail, and text alerts to communicate
quickly and effectively with both parents and students while preserving the safety and security of
students working online.
Technology to Enhance Communication
Class Websites: Class websites are a great communication tool that allows the teacher to
communicate with parents, students, and the global community at large. These websites can be used
to communicate basic information, such as the teacher's background and classroom policies (Dunn,
2011, pg. 60–62). Different levels of complexity allow teachers to decide the purpose of the website
and how much time needed

Innovation No More
It seems we have lost the ability to innovate. We do not think the way we used to; we do not invent
new concepts or ideas, rather we just adapt ideas of the past. Our thinking now a day is very limited
to what we have already created.
Google's definition of innovating, "make changes in something established, esp. by introducing new
methods, ideas, or products," suggests that innovation is now just development of an old idea. In this
definition there seems to be no mention of inventing but rather only the alteration of a product in a
way never done before. It's not that the alteration of a product is bad thing but it does create a very
limited thinking world; a world that relies on the blueprints of the past to create a future.
So have we really lost our ability to innovate? Not really, it's just that innovation has become merely
focused on technology. It seems like technology will be the future. That future will involve people
innovation of past ideas and not trying anything new due to the fear of failing. That innovation will
mostly focus on technology which can help to make money.
The novel "Oryx and Crake" which is based on the future shows somewhat of the real future and
what it will be like. In this science fiction novel, we are treated to a very limited thinking world in
which the main concern is technology and money. There are some technological advances evident in
this novel but not ones which are comprehensive or mind boggling. For example, there is a lot of

Technology And Its Effect On Human Interaction
Albert Einstein once exclaimed, "I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction."
His brilliance shows in today's era since now, technology predominates ordinary functions and
paralyzes the ability for humans to ponder and generate originality. Not one individual is thus
required to rigorously search for information or create ideas that are not simply available on the
world web. This excessive attachment to the devices that deliver access to such a broad spectrum of
information is evidently destroying human potential to excel within the realms of communication
and etc. Smartphones, in particular, spark significant concern since they are portable electronic
devices with the functionality of numerous gadgets combined. Researchers are concerned about the
tendency of people to merely replace experiences in reality with those of the virtual world within
their phones. This matter holds relevance within today's society since a notable percentage of
humans own smartphones and the activities which they participate in with the device stretches from
photography to games and to mere pastime rituals. Although technology allows innovation and is
dire to numerous practices that benefit humanity; excessive dependence can cripple society in ways
that include communicative disability and mental disorders that can thrive in effect to such an
attachment.
Technological breakthroughs have allowed humanity to thrive in methods that prior generations
believed impossible. The

How Technology Has Changed Our Lives
In our ever–evolving world, we have seen the emergence of technology in all aspects of our lives.
People use technology as a form of entertainment, as a tool to help them communicate with other
people, to help them monitor their health and as a tool to help them enhance their work. When out in
public, it is common to see numerous people using some form of technologic device. While at the
mall, it is common to see people talking on their phones, texting people or posting on their social
network sites. At a doctor's offices you will likely see people playing on their tablets or using their
cell phones, and it is even common practice to see these devices being used by people who are
working out at the gym. Although technology has been embraced in many areas of society, there are
still some areas that resist it. Oliver, Osa & Walker explain that "While society in general has
embraced 21st century technology innovations for daily living, a gap remains in the understanding
of appropriate uses for technology in the learning environment (Banister & Ross, 2006)" (2012).
Unfortunately, instructional technologies have not been utilized to their full potential.
The focus of this essay is to show that instructional technologies should be integrated into the
classroom because when they are used appropriately, they can have a positive impact on student
achievement. Throughout this essay the ideas of leading advocates of integrating technology into the
classroom will be discussed. These

(Gulley, K.G., 2003). I believe one solution to that argument are Hybrid courses. The hybrid
classroom incorporates characteristics from both the tradtional and the online classroom. In the
ideal, hybrid courses offer educators the best of both worlds Hybrid Classrooms are able to have
access to the Internet in order to enhance the learning process. Students have the benefit of having
both face–to–face interactions along with having assignments available to them online at anytime.(
Okolo, T, & Naidoo, T., 2005) For example, students may meet in class only one day a week along
with meeting in an online chat room for the other two days of class. The hybrid classroom is a new
approach to teaching. That is only of the major aspect that is discussed about when talking about
technology in the classroom in depts.

Failure Of Nokia
As it was stated in the introduction, with the smartphone revolution, Nokia failed to understand the
future direction of mobile devices. This underestimation of the rising innovation, in terms of global
market shares, led to a drastic decline – from 2007 to 2013, the company lost 45.2% of its market
shares (Statista, 2014). It is worth mentioning, that in 2004, at Nokia's Espoo headquarters,
researchers have presented a mobile phone prototype, which was able to connect to the internet and
it was controlled by a touch–screen (O'Brien, 2010). However, Nokia's senior management had
rejected the idea, stating that it would be an expensive failure to develop it. That allowed American
and Asian companies to become leading companies, as they adopted a more innovative idea of the
smartphone. Despite the fact that the company started to lose its market shares to competitors, Nokia
tried to take the role as strategic innovator by ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For instance, Nokia Networks recently revealed the programmable 5G architecture infrastructure
which is able to adjust automatically radio access and core network resources by meeting the needs
of different services (Nokia, 2015). Being innovative in the telecommunication industry means for
Nokia competing in a fast developing and booming networking sector, which generates most of the
company's revenue. Chaudhuri (2015) believes, that in Nokia's case, presence in telecommunication
industry is more profitable than mobile handsets manufacturing. This strategy shift may allow the
company to win the game by redefining market orientation. To support this example, the author uses
the Ericsson case, which illustrates the company's decision to sell its handset business to Sony, after
it lost its ability to compete with other manufacturers. Ericsson's focus on mobile networks allowed
the company to be

PATH Supports the Health of Developing Countries
There are many organizations out there directed at the support and health of struggling developing
countries around the globe. PATH is one of the leaders at the forefront as an International Non–
governmental Organization focused as their slogan says "Driving transformative innovation to save
lives" (PATH). This 40 year old organization that was started in the mid–1970s by Gordon Duncan,
Rich Mahoney, and Gordon Perkin Focusing on the distribution of contraceptive technologies and
supplies has grown to a multi–divisional non–profit organization. PICAT or Program for the
Introduction and Adaptation of Contraceptive Technology, emerged from a small apartment in
Seattle with a donation from the Ford foundation, has become the international organization known
as PATH. This Organization with it's Growth continues to outgrow it's name, starting with the
expansion away from only providing access to contraceptives around the world to developing new
fields in healthcare for primarily woman and children in developing countries. As PATH was known
as an acronym meaning "Program for Appropriate Technology in Health"(PATH FAQs) they are
now as of 2014 simply PATH. Their definition of PATH today is "transformative innovation that
save lives and improves health, especially among women and children. We stand for accelerating
innovation and making the world a more equitable place". Within PATH there are four main

Joint Venture of the France Based Company Alcatel and the...
Introduction
A joint venture, according to Adler and Graham (1989),along with mergers and acquisitions,
licensing and distribution agreements, and sales of products and services – critical aspects of all
such interorganizational relationships, are face–to–face negotiations. This would mean the
interaction between people. In today's society, as the world becomes much more globalized than we
could ever think of, with the fast growth of the internet industry, we are connected with people from
another country at an instant. However, business to business deals and negotiations are still at a
stage where face–to–face communication is still required. As interpersonal communication is

However, more importantly, it was the cultural clash that brought the JV into a poor state initially.
As Adler, Doktor, and Redding (1986) wrote in their article, with the growing shift of business from
the Atlantic to the Pacific Basin, East–West cultural differences are becoming increasingly
significant. Research in developmental psychology, sociology, and anthropology shows that there
are major differences among the cognitive processes of people from different cultures. In the era of
the global corporation, cultural diversity has to be recognized, understood, and appropriately used in
organizations. It is suggested that cross–cultural management would greatly benefit from
comparative studies considering the impact of the cognitive aspects of culture on managerial
practice.
Moving forward as a combined company, the JV faces great competition from low–cost Chinese
rivals, and as the internet technology is increasingly changing the industry, Alcatel–Lucent is faced
with much deeper challenges as demand in the entire industry is decreasing tremendously. Yet one
challenge would also be the challenge to integrate the French culture with that of the American
Culture. As Shenkar (2001) pointed out, establishing a measure gauging the "distance" between
cultures has understandably presented an even greater challenge. With the globalization of

Technology And Usage During Dinner Time
Technology and millennials are like peanut butter and jelly. They are synonymous with each other.
Millennials have grown up with so much technology that this generation is also known as the
"information generation." This generation has had technology at every toss and turn in their lives.
Technology comes in many forms that range from smart phones to tablets to televisions. Many
households throughout the last decade have changed. Homes now have more technology than ever.
Technology is no longer just in the family rooms, or bedrooms. It is also in the kitchens and is often
times within easy reach or viewing of a dinner table. This does not change when it is time to enjoy a
meal. It is becoming increasingly worse, "more than one in three ... Show more content on

Meier and Musick suggest that the blame does not fall on millennials, but the parents. Parents are
held accountable for several reasons, the first is that parents are the ones who purchase the gadgets
and give permission for them to be used. Parents have the power in this relationship that is why
families must be educated on the pitfalls of technology.
I agree with Annie Murphy Paul, a writer for the magazine, Good House Keeping point that parents
are responsible for children's usage of technology. In Paul's article she cited a study that was
reported by the American Journal of Epidemiology which reported that "while half of parents
surveyed in a 2010 study said they always or often set limits on screen time, 18 percent of their kids
really disagreed" (Paul). This highlights a key discrepancy between parents and children. In the eyes
of children parents do not restrict children enough. This is exactly what Alessondra Villegas, a
researcher at Fordham University, states in her journal. She claims that parents must be able to
develop clear rules and that parents must also be firm with the boundaries that are set forth (Villegas
2–3). In Villegas's research she found that parents use technology to watch their children. Villegas
concluded that, "on average, mothers claim to use the television as a babysitter for at least one hour
a day," (6). Her work , which was published in the New York State Communication Association later
goes on to say that television

Managing Technology
Managing Technology
Technology, Information Technology included, have changed our lives in so many ways. It changed
how we recorded our thoughts into written words, how we communicate with one another, how we
shop, bank, how we keep our memories, most aspect of our lives. It significantly changed the
manufacture industry and touched almost every single industry.
The first computer was invented in 1939 by Hewlett–Packard in a garage in Palo Alto, California. It
was mostly used in military/government and universities/science lab. It took 40+ years for the first

Converged infrastructure is semi–pre–built, preconfigured using reference architecture. It is like
cookie cutter. It not just saves power and datacenter space, but also save time to rack and stack,

console to manage all three components, hence save time on managing all three components.
Information Technology (IT) increases productivities, enables many capabilities to businesses such
as online store, work from anywhere, but not without some significant cost. The cost of IT is like an
iceberg. The cost of acquiring new software, hardware, and IT personnel are just the top of the
iceberg. What hidden are the costs of managing those assets, including but not limit to, securing,
upgrading, refreshing those assets, and how to quickly implement changes to adapt to the changes of
hardware and software.

Lucent Technologies Supply Chain Of Asia
Lucent Technologies supply chain in Asia had many issues back in1996 and once it became
independent from AT&T; some of which were long lead times, high cost, high inventories, poor
technical support for local Asian operations and its customers. This was a consequence of the
historical supply of Asia from the United States. The establishment of local Asian facilities was only
as an entry mean to the Asian market. Even though the facilities provided some high–level assembly
and test, the supply chain was organized and centered on the U.S. leading to the problems mentioned
earlier. A change was required and thus a supply chain redesign was completed in 1996, providing
more Asian content. The change had a successful payback; however, developing changes in the
marketplace, in suppliers, and in the manufacturing environment suggested that the supply chain
was no longer optimal. At the start, forming the four joint ventures in Asia (Taiwan, Indonesia,
China, and India) was only an entry vehicle for Lucent into the Asian market and not part of a
manufacturing strategy. Nevertheless, Lucent had its share in the Asian market, was able to manage
its business there successfully, and did not have much of challenges. They were the market leader in
the U.S. for switching systems, and their flagship product– the 5ESS® Switch– was the most
reliable and widely used switching system around the world. Selling their product was relatively

Dan Sperber's Article The Future of Writing
In Dan Sperber's article "The Future of Writing," he assesses the presence of writing and reading in
our society, as well as where it may lie in the future . He addresses the possible downfall of writing,
the prevalence that reading will hold in our society, as well as how our society will adapt and handle
the changes. He also covers the emergence of text–to–speech and speech–to–text technological
advances, the effects on society and how the disappearance of the two of them will never fully
occur. Sperber's main claim throughout the article is that writing, with the help of technology, may
eventually cease to exist, or at least be far less prominent . While writing has obtained a unique and
prominent standing in most places of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, Sperber does stress that there is a strong difference between the writing and reading, and
their relationship with technology. While he states that writing may completely be taken over by
technology, the same could never be done to reading. Most particularly because the two are very
closely linked, yet writing could never exist without reading. The benefits that are present with
writing come mostly from reading, as well as with the fact that as you write, you read along with
your words. Though writing may be replaced at some point in time, reading can never be replaced
despite the text–to–speech technology.
In particular, he addresses the impact that technology could have, and like writing it involves both
speech and text, yet in the opposite order. This time technology would allow a person to listen to the
text be read to them rather than having to read it themselves. However, Sperber suspects that this is
much less likely than the latter, particularly because most people prefer to read and interpret on their
own. They typically also do not enjoy the voice of the computer, and it is much harder to follow,
especially due to

Essay on Lucent Technologies
Prior to 1996, Supply Chain Strategy used by lucent technologies was adequate because Asian
customers were away from order processing and manufacturing activities. All the orders were placed
with AT&T, processed in New Jersey and then placed with factory for production in Oklahoma
City. From there, the parts and subassemblies were shipped to staging center in California. So,
Shipments to Asian customers were made directly from the United States. Asia was only related
with supplying parts along with United States. Asia had very little market prior to 1996 and the
major market was the US which has no competition and so no penalties for late deliveries. Without
having involved in the business, Asian customers had bagged the final product. ... Show more

Throughput time(period required for a material, part or subassembly to pass through a
manufacturing process) decreased from 5weeks to 1week and so the margins improved by 10% and
Lucent was three times as productive in 1998, as it had been in 1995. Exceptional growth in cellular
and web, resulted in more component demand than supply, leading to material shortages. Inventories
costs increased and lead times doubled. Contract manufacturers who have increased their quality to
international level and competency in telecommunication electronics made Lucent think to develop
its own assets and inventories. In order to respond to the new challenges, Lucent must focus bidding
on projects where the switch has cost and feature advantages over competing products. Also forecast
the number of parts needed, thereby reducing potential part shortages. Also offer reconfiguration
service for 5ESS switches from landline to cellular voice networks. Synchronize order placements
with supplier manufacturing cycles. Creating partnerships with secondary tier suppliers, reduces the
probability of material shortages. Manufacture in close proximity to customers which reduces
transport cost. Consider outsourcing if necessary for cost effectiveness. Finally, use factory expertise
to reduce manufacturing lead time, improve product quality and reduce costs. The main lessons

Ibm's Culture Transformation : Ibm
IBM's Culture Transformation
There is a multitude of reasons as to why an organization may change their culture. Some catalysts
to cultural change could be such things as changes in the economy, external events, internal
shortcomings, restructuring of leadership, or growth of technological capabilities. Since IBM was
founded in 1911, it has undergone a multitude of cultural changes driven by each one of these
factors. The 1990's included a large cultural shift for this organization driven by a new CEO and
new technological capabilities.
Culture Prior to the Change Prior to their cultural change that took place in the early 1990's, many
would have said that IBM was on a fatal downhill slide. At this point they were beginning to
become obsolete. IBM at one point was among the leaders within the world for hardware/software
development and information technology services, but all divisions within the organization were run
independently from one another. They were not a unified enterprise. To solidify this even further,
"rather than working together as a team, divisions competed against each other both internally and
in the field" (DiCarlo, L., 2002).
Steps to Change On April 1, 1993 Louis V. Gerstner took over as IBM's chairman and CEO.
Gerstner was able to recognize the flaws in IBM's model to have the company being run as several
independent parts from one another. From the beginning he was able to recognize that "IBM was

Social Darwinism And Natural Selection
It is almost undeniable that the technologies cause rapid changes in human relationships, cultures,
and societies. While it enormously facilitates us in nearly every aspect of our life, such changes also
create consequences that we do not yet realize. Almost all of us know Darwinism and Natural
Selection in the biological field, but we often overlook the similar phenomena in the social aspect.
In fact, resemble to the way we adapt to our physical environment, we also adapt to our social
environment in order to survive and excel in our social relationships. Such adaption is called Social
Darwinism. Because technologies have significantly influenced our social environment, humans are
forced to adapt not only to technologies, but also to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The reason behind such decision is that unless in urgent situations, other people expect them to text,
the technology that is more prevalent and requires less effort to respond than phone (Turkle 375).
Although "Tara and Leonora are discontent, but do not feel they have a choice. This is where
technology has brought them" (Turkle 375). From those examples, we can easily observe that
because the notions of using certain technology have already became parts of our general social
roles, people can no longer resist the influence of it regardless of our feeling.
In the meantime, we are also forced to mentally adapt popularity and efficiency, the core values of
modern technologies. In analogy, humans evolve (in the bigger and smaller scale) not only because
of our side environment, but also the pressure under the notion that only the fittest among us can
survive. In the comparison between phone calls and texts, texts are not any more technologically
advanced than phone calls are. However, we in general still prefer texts, and intentionally or
unintentionally make others around us use them because of the efficiency behind them. Moreover,
when the popularity of texts is accumulated, such preference becomes further irreversible. Back to
the context of expectations and social roles, we enjoy popularity as the outcome of pluralism, the
conformity of social roles and expectation. In

than half. Support of Asian joint ventures and customers improved. These effects combined to make
Lucent win the market share. Facing the Questions in 2000 Due to unprecedented growth in the
cellular and Internet sectors, component demand far outstripped supply, and unprecedented material
shortage developed. Leading edge procurement arrangements were sorely tested, and in some cases
broke down. Lucent was vulnerable to this imbalance in supply. The problems could be broken
down into five areas: 1. Sole–sourced component lead times more than doubled. 2. Inventories
increased by about 25 percent, as assemblies could not be completed. 3. The Taiwan factory had to
commit to early parts delivery to ensure availability 4. Product shipments to customers were
jeopardized, and orders were at risk due to an inability to ship on time. 5. Premium prices were
required in order to obtain expedited shipments of missing parts Solutions 1. Use contract

The Invention Of The First Mover
The first–mover advantage is defined as a firm's ability to be better off than its competitors as a
result of being the first to market in a new product category. This concept is accepted without
questioning or objecting it, a great amount of mangers believe that be incorporating this status will
increase their competitive advantage and obtaining a great part of the market share. There are
executives that believe that the first–mover is a great advantage that will make their business
succeed in every industry that they enter, the case is that there are many scientific refutals of this
method because not every firm has the same sources as others, and the market and technology
change differently, plus we must include other different factors. The research in this article found
situations in which companies are successful with the first–mover method, but also found situations
where firms need different sources and sometimes are unsuccessful. In the article, we found two
factors that influence greatly the first–mover's success, this factors are:
The pace at which the technology of the product is evolving
The pace at which the market for the product is expanding
By, knowing this factors we can create a strategy in competing in the market depending on these
factors, after doing this we could distinguish between the long–term advantage which can increase a
companies profits and grab a greater market share than competitors, or a short–time which is not the

Is Google Making Us Stupid
There has been debate on how the growth of technological inventions is influencing the way humans
think. For teenagers and young adults in my generation, it's rather easy to adapt to new
advancements since we grew up being introduced to so many inventions that took over the entire
world's interest in the past decade. I personally prefer to multitask than to focus on one task at hand
and I can record more information in a less amount of time when I type on a keyboard. Therefore, I
have an easier time learning and getting things done with techy tools than when I sit upright with
just a pen and paper. But most skeptics that assume technology is a disease would argue that
technology's versatility and convenience could be a distracting to our thought process. In the article,
"Is Google Making Us Stupid," author Nicholas Carr believes that the progress in technological
innovation has had a derailing effect on our cognition; however, in the article, "Smarter Than You
Think," Clive Thompson addresses how collaborating with today's technological advances can
actually give more opportunities to bring about more intelligence. Although Carr addresses how
technology can be a major challenge to our critical thinking skills, Thompson arguably provides
better evidence to show how technology actually challenges our skills to for the better by teaching
us how to be more aware, giving us the opportunity to access the most amount of information, and
creating a higher field of expertise for the

Technology and conversation
It is amazing how everyone's life is changing by through us of technology. "Technology by
definition means, the branch of knowledge that deals with the creation and use of technical means
and their interrelation with life, society, and the environment, drawing upon such subjects as
industrial arts, engineering, applied science, and pure science"(Technology). Today people use
different kinds of technology like: cellphones, iPods, laptops, mp3s, and all of the devices create a

We are going to see is a complete transformation where we're talking more about connectivity for
machines so that they can transform our lives and deliver services much faster and much quicker
than we could ever perceive.
Today with 4G there's higher latency in the network, so this is the amount of time it takes to transmit
data from the device to the network, and back again with 5G that communication path that will
allow the customer to communicate much quicker and the customer will be able to control
machines. Nokia states that the latency of the network improves the communication between the
machines which is critical for future networks. Nokia's view on future needs for society for
humanity. What we're going to see is a transformation of Nokia's existing technologies to automate
everything so you can imagine healthcare automotive or in the mining industry or in other areas
where that are very critical or dangerous for humans we can send a machine in and control them
remotely over a 5G wireless network because of the low latency in the network so a huge
transformation in the way Nokia utilize their network and Nokia can control and do with their

As the world moves into the industry 4.0 era and a fully digital economy the demands on networks
will change and grow. The Internet of Things, billions of devices and machines will be connected.

The Impact of Technology on Our Lives
Technological devices has greatly influenced the way people live in society. Although many will use
modern technology for many of its achievements and advancements, what many don't realize is that
it has affected and continues to affect society in a negative way. Today more people are working
longer hours and utilizing more technology in their everyday life. As a result of these longer hours
and increased use of technology, more energy is being consumed which negatively impacts the
environment. Much of the technology is created to make daily task more efficient. The internet for
instance, paying bills online, reading the daily news and shopping all without leaving home.
Technology is amazing; however, the improvements are getting to a point where it's helping us so
much it's actually hurting us, meaning the more technology does for us, the less we do.The rise of
technologies such as computers and video games has made it easy for kids to be entertained without
ever leaving the comfort of their easy chair which has contributed to the steady decline in physical
activity among the youth. The relationship between technology, stress and depression has a lot to do
with the overuse of technology in our society, particularly among young people. But the reliance of
technological devices is staggering. One of the biggest problems the world faces today is the amount
of energy that is consumed globally. With almost all of the world's businesses using computer

Our Helpless Dependance on Technology
Technology started out as a necessity, people needed it back when they weren't guaranteed safety,
heat, shelter etc. Technology similarly started off by accidental discoveries that slowly morphed into
technology today. Technology in the past is much more different than what it is today. Take the
example of fire. Fire started by accident but furthermore led to expansion into creating bigger fires.
To be exact this happened because there was a need to keep warm and have a source of light. The
discovery may have led to the idea that they need more fires. Maintaining fires accordingly may
have led into the discovery of cooking, because of the need to cook and food to be nutritious must
have been very important. Technology in the past meant slowly advancing to make lives easier. If
you see technology today the first few things you think are, computers, tablets, and other common
household objects. With the fast pace of technology today, technology is harming our businesses,
brains and our bodies. The fast pace of technology as a result has played a big part in running us and
our society. As technology advances (which is a good thing) so does our total dependency on it
makes it run our society. The fast pace of technology consequently doubles our dependency
therefore harming us physically, emotionally and physcologically.
Technology isn't the reason why it is hurting us, it is our dependence on technology that hurts. To
illustrate the idea of the dependance on technlogy when the

Technology Is Not Good For Students
In todays society technology is becoming more popular in our school systems, and even in our
workforce. Many people may argue that technology is not good for students, but I disagree.
Technology in the classroom is very important for students not only for their social, or learning lives
but also when they get into the workforce. If students learn technology in their early years they will
not have a difficult time when they enter the workforce to find that there is a lot of technology being
used.
Since the first affordable personal computer came out in the 1980's technology has had a big impact
on children in the K–12 grade classroom. As technology has become more reliable and more
available in schools the role of the teacher has changed. When a teacher has knowledge in
technology, teachers are able to teach students to become successful learners in the 21st century,
which will allow them to find, seek, and assimilate data from multiple sources. As we all know
education does not stop in the K–12 grade classroom or even at the college level. In todays society
students continue to educate themselves even if they are not in the classroom. "With students
continuing to educate themselves it helps them prepare to self teach in order to be competitive in the
21st century job force" (Molnar). Many of us may see that there are many careers out there that
require an individual to have education in technology. Since technology is increasing more and more

Society's Dependency On Technology
Today, technology is a ruling factor among our society.
Technology is involved in every aspect of our lives.
Our dependence on technology has been taken to a whole other level, we are now incredibly
dependent on technology.
We may be too dependent on technology, but our dependence does not necessarily impact us in
negative ways. II. Some say the increasing need for technology, specifically social media, causes
social isolation. Since so much time is spent on technology, these days, people tend to forget about
the outside world around them (Ramey).
"Americans aged 18 and older spend more than 11 hours a day watching TV, listening to the radio or
using smartphones and other electronic devices" (Richter). B. However, communication has been
greatly improved by advancing technology.
Because of technology, it has become more convenient to communicate with those we desire to
speak with much more often ("Benefits of Technology").
"Modern technology has made it simple to discover our old friends and discover new people to
network with [through social media]" (Ramey).
2. "Modern technology has blessed us with advanced communication technology tools" (Ramey).
"These [technology tools] can include e–fax machines, electronic mail, mobile phones,
videoconferencing, instant text messaging, applications, social networking applications" (Ramey).

Personal Statement

  • 1. Personal Statement I started my career in an unorthodox way: delivering science and technology news directly to live audiences from a stage. I was an early member of the experimental Current Science & Technology Center at Boston's Museum of Science, an effort to bring cutting edge science to adult members of the public through extended interactions with science journalists in an informal education setting. I was fortunate enough to work alongside a graduate of the Columbia University School of Journalism, a former producer for NOVA, the current executive director of the National Association of Science Writers, and other highly skilled science communicators. I considered these people my journalism professors, and worked with them to develop the skills ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I planned the episodes, booked guests, and served as host, producer, and editor of the show, interviewing researchers, explorers, and inventors from a wide variety of disciplines. A year after launching the show, it was awarded the American Association of Museum's 2007 Gold Muse Award, the top honor granted for teaching and outreach by one of the largest museum associations in the world. In all, I conducted roughly 150 interviews for podcasts or video during my time at the museum, and dozens more during live presentations. While I was at the Museum of Science, I started Boston Behind the Scenes, my own independent podcast profiling ordinary and extraordinary people around the Boston area. This is a human– interest interview show that introduces the audience to local people, from street vendors to newspaper editors. Through work on that podcast, I became involved in an iPod–based documentary tour project. This allowed me the financial freedom to begin working full–time as a freelance new media journalist and producer. The two most prominent positions I have assumed recently are as host, producer, and editor of new media programs for the education division of Nature and for the Journal of the National Cancer Institute. The first, for Nature, is a biweekly video series called Simply ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The smartphone market is one of today's most rapid growing industries. A smartphone is a technologically advanced communication device that not only performs the actions of a basic mobile phone, but it also allows the consumer to personalize the device with installable applications from an Internet based store for maximum functionality (Smartphone, 2015). A recent annual report from Mary Meeker on Internet trends reported that 87 % of young adults, those between the ages of 18 and 34, who own smartphones are never separated from them. Her report also showed that 4 out of 5 young adults say that they reach for their smartphones as soon as they awaken each day (Hackett, 2015). • 8. How Technology Has Impacted Education Introduction Education is defined as 'the act or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgement, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life.' A good education leads to knowledge, career progression, enlightenment and helps a nation progress, as John F. Kennedy said; "Our progress as a nation can be no swifter than our progress in education. The human mind is our fundamental resource." The introduction of technology in education has impacted education both for good and bad. According to the Oxford dictionary, Technology is; 'machinery and devices that are developed from scientific knowledge to increase or better, everyday functions.' Technology used in education, is part of a large debate over whether it is improving educational outcomes in students. Some say technology is revolutionizing education for the better, and others say it is a trend that offer/s no specific improvements to education. Although technology can never replace a good quality teacher, the advantages and benefits of technology, positively supplements a bridge between education and the technological world, hence offers students the marketable job skills they need in order to satisfy in the evolving technological world. Relevant interviews and surveys were conducted, to discover peoples understanding of technology. 1. Advantages of technology in schools and how this improves educational outcomes. ... • 10. Use Of Technology And Social Media The use of technology and social media makes our life a lot easier. Social media and technology play a huge role in our everyday life and friendship. In today's world, people, mostly teenagers use social media and technology every day to communicate and interact with others. Technology gives us an opportunity to connect with anybody we want from anywhere we are, saving us time. According to "Daily News" 84 percent of people worldwide say they couldn't go a single day without their mobile device in their hand. That means almost everybody uses their phone in order to communicate and stay updated. I use my phone every single day and I cannot imagine living my life without a smartphone. I go on social media websites every day to connect with friends and see what they are doing. It is the fastest way to interact with friends and I love technology for that. A couple decades ago people didn't have good communication devices therefore it was much harder for them to connect with each other. Technology makes it much more convenient and easy for us to use, saving us a lot of time. Having technology makes our life easier and at the same time virtual. It is very convenient and just normal for our society to use it everyday. In my opinion modern technology provides more options and opportunities to connect with our friends. I really don't think that technology and social media ruin our friendships like most people would say. It all depends on how you use it. Technology and Social media ... Technology is found in hospitals, banks, grocery stores, homes, and schools across the nation. As technology becomes more prevalent in the classroom, teachers need to learn how to use it effectively. The advancements in technology make sending out important reminders, cute pictures, or a simple life update quick and efficient. It is no different in the world of education. • 14. Innovation No More It seems we have lost the ability to innovate. We do not think the way we used to; we do not invent new concepts or ideas, rather we just adapt ideas of the past. Our thinking now a day is very limited to what we have already created. Google's definition of innovating, "make changes in something established, esp. by introducing new methods, ideas, or products," suggests that innovation is now just development of an old idea. In this definition there seems to be no mention of inventing but rather only the alteration of a product in a way never done before. It's not that the alteration of a product is bad thing but it does create a very limited thinking world; a world that relies on the blueprints of the past to create a future. So have we really lost our ability to innovate? Not really, it's just that innovation has become merely focused on technology. It seems like technology will be the future. That future will involve people innovation of past ideas and not trying anything new due to the fear of failing. That innovation will mostly focus on technology which can help to make money. The novel "Oryx and Crake" which is based on the future shows somewhat of the real future and what it will be like. In this science fiction novel, we are treated to a very limited thinking world in which the main concern is technology and money. There are some technological advances evident in this novel but not ones which are comprehensive or mind boggling. For example, there is a lot of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 16. Technology And Its Effect On Human Interaction Albert Einstein once exclaimed, "I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction." His brilliance shows in today's era since now, technology predominates ordinary functions and paralyzes the ability for humans to ponder and generate originality. Not one individual is thus required to rigorously search for information or create ideas that are not simply available on the world web. This excessive attachment to the devices that deliver access to such a broad spectrum of information is evidently destroying human potential to excel within the realms of communication and etc. Smartphones, in particular, spark significant concern since they are portable electronic devices with the functionality of numerous gadgets combined. Researchers are concerned about the tendency of people to merely replace experiences in reality with those of the virtual world within their phones. This matter holds relevance within today's society since a notable percentage of humans own smartphones and the activities which they participate in with the device stretches from photography to games and to mere pastime rituals. Although technology allows innovation and is dire to numerous practices that benefit humanity; excessive dependence can cripple society in ways that include communicative disability and mental disorders that can thrive in effect to such an attachment. Technological breakthroughs have allowed humanity to thrive in methods that prior generations believed impossible. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 18. How Technology Has Changed Our Lives In our ever–evolving world, we have seen the emergence of technology in all aspects of our lives. People use technology as a form of entertainment, as a tool to help them communicate with other people, to help them monitor their health and as a tool to help them enhance their work. When out in public, it is common to see numerous people using some form of technologic device. While at the mall, it is common to see people talking on their phones, texting people or posting on their social network sites. At a doctor's offices you will likely see people playing on their tablets or using their cell phones, and it is even common practice to see these devices being used by people who are working out at the gym. Although technology has been embraced in many areas of society, there are still some areas that resist it. Oliver, Osa & Walker explain that "While society in general has embraced 21st century technology innovations for daily living, a gap remains in the understanding of appropriate uses for technology in the learning environment (Banister & Ross, 2006)" (2012). Unfortunately, instructional technologies have not been utilized to their full potential. The focus of this essay is to show that instructional technologies should be integrated into the classroom because when they are used appropriately, they can have a positive impact on student achievement. Throughout this essay the ideas of leading advocates of integrating technology into the classroom will be discussed. These ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 24. Failure Of Nokia As it was stated in the introduction, with the smartphone revolution, Nokia failed to understand the future direction of mobile devices. This underestimation of the rising innovation, in terms of global market shares, led to a drastic decline – from 2007 to 2013, the company lost 45.2% of its market shares (Statista, 2014). It is worth mentioning, that in 2004, at Nokia's Espoo headquarters, researchers have presented a mobile phone prototype, which was able to connect to the internet and it was controlled by a touch–screen (O'Brien, 2010). However, Nokia's senior management had rejected the idea, stating that it would be an expensive failure to develop it. That allowed American and Asian companies to become leading companies, as they adopted a more innovative idea of the smartphone. Being innovative in the telecommunication industry means for Nokia competing in a fast developing and booming networking sector, which generates most of the company's revenue. Chaudhuri (2015) believes, that in Nokia's case, presence in telecommunication industry is more profitable than mobile handsets manufacturing. This strategy shift may allow the company to win the game by redefining market orientation. Introduction A joint venture, according to Adler and Graham (1989),along with mergers and acquisitions, licensing and distribution agreements, and sales of products and services – critical aspects of all such interorganizational relationships, are face–to–face negotiations. This would mean the interaction between people. In today's society, as the world becomes much more globalized than we could ever think of, with the fast growth of the internet industry, we are connected with people from another country at an instant. However, more importantly, it was the cultural clash that brought the JV into a poor state initially. As Adler, Doktor, and Redding (1986) wrote in their article, with the growing shift of business from the Atlantic to the Pacific Basin, East–West cultural differences are becoming increasingly significant. Research in developmental psychology, sociology, and anthropology shows that there are major differences among the cognitive processes of people from different cultures. In the era of the global corporation, cultural diversity has to be recognized, understood, and appropriately used in organizations. It is suggested that cross–cultural management would greatly benefit from comparative studies considering the impact of the cognitive aspects of culture on managerial practice. Moving forward as a combined company, the JV faces great competition from low–cost Chinese rivals, and as the internet technology is increasingly changing the industry, Alcatel–Lucent is faced with much deeper challenges as demand in the entire industry is decreasing tremendously. Yet one challenge would also be the challenge to integrate the French culture with that of the American Culture. As Shenkar (2001) pointed out, establishing a measure gauging the "distance" between cultures has understandably presented an even greater challenge. With the globalization of ... Millennials have grown up with so much technology that this generation is also known as the "information generation." This generation has had technology at every toss and turn in their lives. Technology comes in many forms that range from smart phones to tablets to televisions. Many households throughout the last decade have changed. Homes now have more technology than ever. Parents are held accountable for several reasons, the first is that parents are the ones who purchase the gadgets and give permission for them to be used. Parents have the power in this relationship that is why families must be educated on the pitfalls of technology. I agree with Annie Murphy Paul, a writer for the magazine, Good House Keeping point that parents are responsible for children's usage of technology. In Paul's article she cited a study that was reported by the American Journal of Epidemiology which reported that "while half of parents surveyed in a 2010 study said they always or often set limits on screen time, 18 percent of their kids really disagreed" (Paul). This highlights a key discrepancy between parents and children. In the eyes of children parents do not restrict children enough. This is exactly what Alessondra Villegas, a researcher at Fordham University, states in her journal. She claims that parents must be able to develop clear rules and that parents must also be firm with the boundaries that are set forth (Villegas 2–3). In Villegas's research she found that parents use technology to watch their children. Villegas concluded that, "on average, mothers claim to use the television as a babysitter for at least one hour a day," (6). • 37. Lucent Technologies Supply Chain Of Asia Lucent Technologies supply chain in Asia had many issues back in1996 and once it became independent from AT&T; some of which were long lead times, high cost, high inventories, poor technical support for local Asian operations and its customers. This was a consequence of the historical supply of Asia from the United States. The establishment of local Asian facilities was only as an entry mean to the Asian market. Even though the facilities provided some high–level assembly and test, the supply chain was organized and centered on the U.S. leading to the problems mentioned earlier. A change was required and thus a supply chain redesign was completed in 1996, providing more Asian content. The change had a successful payback; however, developing changes in the marketplace, in suppliers, and in the manufacturing environment suggested that the supply chain was no longer optimal. At the start, forming the four joint ventures in Asia (Taiwan, Indonesia, China, and India) was only an entry vehicle for Lucent into the Asian market and not part of a manufacturing strategy. Nevertheless, Lucent had its share in the Asian market, was able to manage its business there successfully, and did not have much of challenges. He addresses the possible downfall of writing, the prevalence that reading will hold in our society, as well as how our society will adapt and handle the changes. He also covers the emergence of text–to–speech and speech–to–text technological advances, the effects on society and how the disappearance of the two of them will never fully occur. While he states that writing may completely be taken over by technology, the same could never be done to reading. The benefits that are present with writing come mostly from reading, as well as with the fact that as you write, you read along with your words. Though writing may be replaced at some point in time, reading can never be replaced despite the text–to–speech technology. In particular, he addresses the impact that technology could have, and like writing it involves both speech and text, yet in the opposite order. This time technology would allow a person to listen to the text be read to them rather than having to read it themselves. However, Sperber suspects that this is much less likely than the latter, particularly because most people prefer to read and interpret on their own. Exceptional growth in cellular and web, resulted in more component demand than supply, leading to material shortages. Inventories costs increased and lead times doubled. • 47. Ibm's Culture Transformation : Ibm IBM's Culture Transformation There is a multitude of reasons as to why an organization may change their culture. Some catalysts to cultural change could be such things as changes in the economy, external events, internal shortcomings, restructuring of leadership, or growth of technological capabilities. Since IBM was founded in 1911, it has undergone a multitude of cultural changes driven by each one of these factors. The 1990's included a large cultural shift for this organization driven by a new CEO and new technological capabilities. Culture Prior to the Change Prior to their cultural change that took place in the early 1990's, many would have said that IBM was on a fatal downhill slide. At this point they were beginning to become obsolete. IBM at one point was among the leaders within the world for hardware/software development and information technology services, but all divisions within the organization were run independently from one another. They were not a unified enterprise. To solidify this even further, "rather than working together as a team, divisions competed against each other both internally and in the field" (DiCarlo, L., 2002). Steps to Change On April 1, 1993 Louis V. Gerstner took over as IBM's chairman and CEO. From those examples, we can easily observe that because the notions of using certain technology have already became parts of our general social roles, people can no longer resist the influence of it regardless of our feeling. In the meantime, we are also forced to mentally adapt popularity and efficiency, the core values of modern technologies. In analogy, humans evolve (in the bigger and smaller scale) not only because of our side environment, but also the pressure under the notion that only the fittest among us can survive. In the comparison between phone calls and texts, texts are not any more technologically advanced than phone calls are. However, we in general still prefer texts, and intentionally or unintentionally make others around us use them because of the efficiency behind them. We are going to see is a complete transformation where we're talking more about connectivity for machines so that they can transform our lives and deliver services much faster and much quicker than we could ever perceive. Today with 4G there's higher latency in the network, so this is the amount of time it takes to transmit data from the device to the network, and back again with 5G that communication path that will allow the customer to communicate much quicker and the customer will be able to control machines. Nokia states that the latency of the network improves the communication between the machines which is critical for future networks. Nokia's view on future needs for society for humanity. What we're going to see is a transformation of Nokia's existing technologies to automate everything so you can imagine healthcare automotive or in the mining industry or in other areas where that are very critical or dangerous for humans we can send a machine in and control them remotely over a 5G wireless network because of the low latency in the network so a huge transformation in the way Nokia utilize their network and Nokia can control and do with their machines. • 69. Our Helpless Dependance on Technology Technology started out as a necessity, people needed it back when they weren't guaranteed safety, heat, shelter etc. Technology similarly started off by accidental discoveries that slowly morphed into technology today. Technology in the past is much more different than what it is today. Take the example of fire. Fire started by accident but furthermore led to expansion into creating bigger fires. To be exact this happened because there was a need to keep warm and have a source of light. The discovery may have led to the idea that they need more fires. Maintaining fires accordingly may have led into the discovery of cooking, because of the need to cook and food to be nutritious must have been very important. Technology in the past meant slowly advancing to make lives easier. If you see technology today the first few things you think are, computers, tablets, and other common household objects. With the fast pace of technology today, technology is harming our businesses, brains and our bodies. The fast pace of technology as a result has played a big part in running us and our society. As technology advances (which is a good thing) so does our total dependency on it makes it run our society. The fast pace of technology consequently doubles our dependency therefore harming us physically, emotionally and physcologically. Technology isn't the reason why it is hurting us, it is our dependence on technology that hurts. To illustrate the idea of the dependance on technlogy when the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 71. Technology Is Not Good For Students In todays society technology is becoming more popular in our school systems, and even in our workforce. Many people may argue that technology is not good for students, but I disagree. Technology in the classroom is very important for students not only for their social, or learning lives but also when they get into the workforce. If students learn technology in their early years they will not have a difficult time when they enter the workforce to find that there is a lot of technology being used. Since the first affordable personal computer came out in the 1980's technology has had a big impact on children in the K–12 grade classroom. As technology has become more reliable and more available in schools the role of the teacher has changed. When a teacher has knowledge in technology, teachers are able to teach students to become successful learners in the 21st century, which will allow them to find, seek, and assimilate data from multiple sources. As we all know education does not stop in the K–12 grade classroom or even at the college level. In todays society students continue to educate themselves even if they are not in the classroom. "With students continuing to educate themselves it helps them prepare to self teach in order to be competitive in the 21st century job force" (Molnar). Many of us may see that there are many careers out there that require an individual to have education in technology. Since technology is increasing more and more not only in our environment but ... However, communication has been greatly improved by advancing technology. Because of technology, it has become more convenient to communicate with those we desire to speak with much more often ("Benefits of Technology").
