2. France & Italy Trip
This is a photograph of my Gr.12
graduating trip to Italy and France
This trip was very fun, interesting
and educational as I learnt a lot about
the culture and history of these
ancient countries. I also developed
my navigation skills, as we were left
on our own to explore without
supervision. Accordingly, i had to put
my great communication skills to the
test in order to speak to employees at
local restaurants ,stores, train
stations etc. This was definitely an
unforgettable learning experience.
3. Volunteering
This picture depicts one of the most fun and
Memorable volunteer experiences I have ever
had. The members of the WHCI environmental
club went down to rouge valley beach to help
clean up the beach and plant trees in the
surrounding area. I was the student leader for this
event where my duties included educating our
members about why where doing it, dividing the
groups up into teams, showing them how to plant
trees, and keeping them motivated and willing
to work through the scorching heat. This is the first
time where I had o put my leadership skills and
expertise to work in order to achieve our goals.
4. Buisness Team
This image showcases one of the most
influential teams that I have been apart
of. The WHCI Business team is a group
of individuals who get together, study
together, and learn together, to get ready
to participate in a series of competitions
related to accounting and marketing. Its
because of this team I realized that the
best career for me would be in business.
As the captain of the team I developed
great time and stress management skills,
solved conflicts amongst group members,
And developed a schedule that adhered
To the needs of all our members.
5. Grand Opening
This picture shows the Grand Opening of
my uncles restaurant and catering service
called, “Coconuts.” At this even I met a lot
of interesting people who helped my uncle
develop his business and become the
successful entrepreneur he is today. I met one
of the CEO’s for The Mandarin restaurant
and we discussed some of the inner workings
of the food industry. I also met the marketing
executive for my uncles restaurant and we
discussed methods to help attract teenagers
to his restaurant. Overall, it was a very fun and
Enlightening experience.
6. Volunteering
Brick by Brick is a youth charity organization
at my church who work together with members
of the community to raise money
and build schools for under privilege kids in
Africa. Working with this group taught me
how to be a team player, be outspoken, and
the team leaders encouraged me to be proud
of the causes that I am passionate
about. As the advertising executive I learnt how
to effectively use my creativity, networking and
technical skills to raise awareness about our
causes.
