Lacrosse isn’t as popular as say,
American football, baseball, or
basketball, but make no mistake
about it, it’s just as fun. As a spectator,
the game is exhilarating. As a player,
the sport holds a myriad of rewards
that bene t your body. Let’s take a
look at some of them.

Lacrosse games are 60 to 120 minutes

for people looking to lose weight and
slim down.
Endurance
Lacrosse is very much a cardio
exercise. The heart is given a workout,
as are the lungs. Like any cardio
exercise, when done regularly, boosts
a person’s endurance. And we all
know that cardio exercises
signi cantly lower the risk for
cardiovascular diseases.
Motor skills
Lacrosse requires a person to keep an
eye out for the ball and catch it with a
small net at the end of the stick. This
means that motor skills are required
to complete passes, catches, and
shots on goal. Repeating these
movements improves a person’s
motor skills.
Mental health
Lacrosse also requires a person to
stay alert and remain focused for long
periods. This helps people with short
attention spans. The sport is also
strategy-based, which means players
will be using their minds as much as
their muscles.
