What is SEO and How it works?
SEO stands for 'Search Engine Optimization'.
★ It is the process of getting traffic from free, organic, editorial, or natural
search results in search engines.
★ SEO targets unpaid traffic rather than direct traffic or paid traffic.
★ It aims to improve your website's position in search results pages.
★ Higher the website is listed, the more people will see it.
The Three Different Types of SEO
★ On-Page SEO.As the name suggests, on-page SEO, also known as on-site SEO is an
SEO activity that is carried out directly on the page or site. It involves the optimization of
on-site ranking factors like Meta Descriptions, Keywords, Meta titles, Images,
Headers and others.
★ Off-Page SEO:- Off-page SEO is the exact opposite of on-page. off-page SEO focuses on
all your SEO activities outside your website. It involves Guest blogging,Competitor
Research and Analysis, Internet ads, Press Distribution
★ Technical SEO.Technical SEO refers to all the SEO activities that help to improve your site
and make it easier for visitors to navigate. It involves Site Load
Time,Mobile-Friendliness, Crawl Error Identification,Keyword
Cannibalization Audit,Duplicate Content Audit
On-Page SEO
On-page SEO strategy aids search engines in serving users with
high-quality content about a particular search query.
In essence, the goal of on-site SEO is to allow both search engines and
users to:
★ Understand the context of the webpage
★ Identify the page as related to a search query
★ Locate a page that has been optimized to rank well on SERPs
Off-Page SEO
Off-page SEO refers to actions taken outside of your website to impact your
SERP rankings. Among types of off-page SEO, there are two main types we
should dive into: link-related and non-link-related.
Link-Related SEO.Building backlinks is the core of off-page SEO. Search
engines use backlinks to indicate the content's quality, and those that contain
many "high-value" backlinks are likely to rank higher in the SERP.
Non-Link-Related SEO: A majority of off-page SEO comes from earning
links from external websites, but some non-link-related SEO strategies are
essential to improve your search ranking position
Link-Related SEO
There are three main types of links: natural links, manually built links and
self-created links.
★ Natural Links: These links are given without any action needed by the
website owner. For example, this could be a blogger linking to one of their
(non-sponsored) favorite products.
★ Manually Built Links: These links are acquired through deliberate
link-building activities such as incentivizing customers or influencers to
share your content or site links.
★ Self-Created Links: This type of link is created by practices such as adding
a backlink in an online directory, blog comment signature or press release.
Non-Link-Related SEO: A majority of off-page SEO comes from earning links from
external websites, but some non-link-related SEO strategies are essential to improve
your search ranking position. One of the most common non-link-related SEO
strategies is social media marketing.
Some additional off-page SEO strategies include
★ guest blogging
★ linked and unlinked brand mentions
★ influencer marketing
Different methods and approaches to SEO
Below are the three most common approaches to search engine optimization:
★ White hat SEO: White hat SEO techniques are Google’s recommended approach
to ranking any web page or website. The technique has to do with everything that
helps your website rank without getting in trouble with search engines.
★ Black Hat SEO: Black hat SEO is a much faster way to get results as much as it
is a faster way to get your site deleted from Google’s server. Black hat SEO
techniques are all about manipulation and exploitation of Google’s algorithms.
★ Grey Hat SEO: Grey hat SEO is a little mix of the two approaches to SEO already
mentioned above. As the name implies, it simply means being in that little grey area
where it seems they’re doing what’s right and at the same time looking for Google’s
trouble.
White hat SEO
Some white hat SEO techniques include:
★ Publishing the highest-quality text content on your website
★ Creating a user-friendly interface
★ Sharing your page link on social media
★ Optimizing HTML
Black Hat SEO
Some of these black hat techniques include:
★ Link spamming
★ Keyword stuffing
★ Over-optimized HTML tags and headings
★ Using way too many pictures
★ Hidden texts/links
★ Buying backlinks
★ Publishing copied text
Grey Hat SEO
Some grey hat tactics include:
★ Publishing spun content written by inefficient bots
★ Paying for false reviews
★ Exchanging links
★ Publishing articles with clickbait headlines

Keyword research is the process by which you research popular search terms
people type into search engines like Google, and include them strategically in
your content so that your content appears higher on a search engine results
page (SERP).
