• The Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) has significantly
evolved, including VANETs;
• the emergence of the IoT developed VANET toward a new
paradigm called IoV;
• 75 billion of “things” will be connected to the Internet by 2025
among which vehicles will constitute a significant portion1
