We aimed to teach cultural differences to our 5th grade students by means of slideshare. Nowadays, technology has an impact on our students' learning undoubtedly.
2. We are all different. Our differences are nationality, gender,
language, religion, age or any other status. These things make us
unique and uniqueness. Raheel Farook says: “Uniqueness lies in
not comparing oneself to others.”
We need to accept ourselves and respect to other people from
different cultures. Our world is more beautiful with diversity.
Let’s look at the cultures from some countries.
3. CHINA
Kungfu is very popular in China. Its meaning is any skill that is
acquired through learning or practice.
Chinese calligraphy is a Chinese art form, traditional thing.
4. SOUTH KOREA
Koreans have a traditional dress called Hanbok. They wear them on
their special ceremonies like wedding.
Tekwondo is their martial arts.
IRELAND
5. They have a feast called Saint Patrick’s Day and celebrate it every
year.
Halloween is very common festival all around the world. Irish
Hallowe’en feasts and parties would contain party games like apple
bobbing and would stage magnificent fireworks displays.
RUSSIA
6. Russian nesting dolls, or
matryoshka dolls, are usually painted to depict smiling women
in lace shawls
Its distinctively colorful onion domes and its location in Red
Square makes St. Basil's Cathedral one of the most famous
emblems of Russia.
MEXICO
7. Festivals and fiestas are extremely important in Mexico and celebrated
even in the smallest villages. Every community has its own patron
saint who is honoured with celebrations and processions every year.
Mexico is known for its traditionally spicy dishes. Staple foods
such as burritos, tacos, enchiladas and tamales and very
common in households as well as restaurants.
Frida Kahlo is a famist artist from Mexico all around the world.
8. INDIA
The best known architecture is Taj Mahal in India.
Indian clothing is closely identified with the colorful silk saris worn by
many of the country's women. A traditional piece of clothing for men
is the dhoti.
9. India has lots of festivals. One of them is called Holi.
We are different from each other because our religions, genders,
nationalities, abilities are different in the world that makes us unique
in all respects. Stephen Covey says: “Strength lies in differences, not
in similarities. “
We are beautiful together.
