2. The EbscoHost mobile app for iPhone/iPod touch/iPad and Android
Devices provides you with easy access to search EbscoHost databases on
your mobile device.
It is available for download from the iTunes and Android app stores.

3. To install the app, go to Google Play or iTunes app store. Search for and
download the EbscoHost app on your device and install.

4. To authenticate the Ebscohost app:
• After installing the app, it must be authenticated from the Ebscohost interface.
• On your computer, access Ebscohost databases from UCT Libraries.
Click on databases, then
databases by platform.

5. Click on the “iPhone and Android Apps” link on the bottom of the page.

6. Enter your email address.
Note: You must use an email address that you can access from your device. It does
not have to be your UCT email.

7. An email with an authentication key is sent to you. Access the email from
your device and click the link found in the email to authenticate the
application.

8. You have 24 hours to access the authentication key from your device to
authenticate the app. If the key is not used within 24 hours, it expires and
you will need a new key.
Once it is authenticated, the app can be used for nine months, after which
you must send yourself a new authentication key from the
EBSCOhost interface.
