AZOREAN PLAN FOR ELECTRIC MOBILITY (PMEA) 2018-2024 The basis of the public policies to be implemented in the Azores with the goal of encouraging the choice of electric vehicles Regional Workshop on Sustainable Urban Transitions Regional Directorate for Energy ELECTRIC MOBILITY I IN THE AZORES • 79 passenger cars • 21 charging stations • 19 cycles with an auxiliary motor (with a global value of more than €250,000) Financial Incentive system (107 registrations in 2020) 6

Regional Workshop on Sustainable Urban Transitions Regional Directorate for Energy ELECTRIC MOBILITY I IN THE AZORES In order to promote electric mobility in the Azores, the process of installing public access charging stations is also underway in order to better assure its widespread availability to electric vehicle users. AZOREAN PLAN FOR ELECTRIC MOBILITY (PMEA) The basis of the public policies to be implemented in the Azores with the goal of encouraging the choice of electric vehicles. 7

This is a project that aims to establish the island of Graciosa as a model for its intelligent electrical ecosystem based on the sustainable use of its natural resources and an optimised integration into the network. - 9. Graciosa is an island located in the Central Group of the Azores archipelago. It has about 4 400 inhabitants and is characterized by being the least mountainous of the Azorean islands. - With the Azorean Energy Strategy, we intend to respond to the region's challenges in terms of energy, including the challenges associated with the production and consumption of electricity. What we intend to achieve with this strategy is: A Clean energy that respects the environment, in order to minimize effects such as greenhouse gas emissions. A reliable, safe and quality energy supply to the population - Especially important in 9 isolated energy systems with complex management A Competitive energy, a cost that allows the economy to function effectively and a wide accessibility. An energy for all, ensuring universal access, territorial cohesion, with equal pricing practices, and the fight against energy poverty.

- In 2020, we reach a value above 60% of energy produced from renewable sources

- We assist the public passenger transport company in the acquisition of an electric minibus It will be running during this first semester
- During the first half of 2021, a shared bike system will be operational
- through agreements with public institutions, such as the City Council
- Finally Public administration has to set an example Fleet management is very important in terms of managing resources and so an application is being created to manage the fleet of vehicles
