3. Introduction
Development of Fitness application is mainly require by people to make
sure that their health is going well or not through smart phones and tablets.
Apps can perform various functions such as allowing users to set fitness
goals, tracking caloric intake, gathering workout ideas, and sharing
progress on social media to facilitate healthy behavior change and to stay
motivated.
They can be used as a platform to promote healthy behavior change with
personalized workouts, fitness advice and nutrition plans.
Fitness apps can help incentive users to be more motivated.
Helps to improve their knowledge about various types of exercises that can
be perform on daily basis to stay away from any diseases.
4. Objectives
The Purpose of a fitness app is to provide the user with instructions and
examples of one or more types of exercise, physical activity, nutritional
programs or some other fitness topic.
Fitness Apps are used to count calories, record statistic on workouts or
collect data on walks, runs and bike-rides.
Fitness App Help people find workout routines and maintain health.
5. Literature Review
Pate reviewed the previous literature and reported that they all focused on
defining physical fitness in terms of movement capacities.
In Addition, Caspersen et al. & Vancampfort et al. indicated that physical
fitness was a set of attributes that people had or achieved related to the
ability to perform physical activity, and it could reduce the risk of
developing diseases associated with physical inactivity.
A study by Pate reported that in the mid 1970s, a trend toward
HRPF(Health Related Physical Fitness) began, and in 1980, a new test was
developed.
6. Pate & Caspersen et al. further indicated that the health-related components of
physical fitness were cardiorespiratory endurance, body composition, muscular
strength, muscular endurance, and flexibility.
In another study, Chen et al., also pointed out that people with good physical
fitness would have the characteristics of better cardiorespiratory endurance,
muscle strength, muscular endurance, body composition, and flexibility.
Furthermore, physical fitness referred to the individual’s health and energy
status, enabling participation in various types of physical activity in daily life.

9. Scope of Project
The main purpose of this project is to develop online fitness app named
‘Fitness App’.
This Application will provide exercises and helps users to maintain their
health by notifying and providing proper guidance.
This Application will support Android.
With this Application User can perform actions like
o Administrative Task
o Easy Way to Test Health
o User Friendly App for Easy Understanding
o Reduce Usage of Time.
o Stay fit and Motivated.
11. Database
• The firebase realtime database is a cloud hosted database in which data is
stored in a JESON.
• It is a NoSQL database from which we can store and sync data between
users in realtime.
12. Frond end
• XML(Extensible Markup Language) it is a markup language which is
platform independent and language independent.
• XML is a software and hardware independent tool used to transport and
store data.
• XML provides a framework to define markup languages.
13. Back end
• Java is a object oriented programming language
• Java allows you to write the code ones and run it anywhere on any
platform, making it perfect choice for mobile application development, web
development database connectivity.

15. Limitation
Mobile applications’ tips cannot be equated to a doctor’s advice
• Do not forget to consult specialists before following tips suggested by the
fitness apps.
