Led by philanthropist Scott Reiman and his
colleagues on the board of trustees, Graland
Country Day School continues to stand as an
example of educational excellence. Established by a
group of teachers and parents in 1924, Graland
Country Day School was founded with the goal of
providing education based on the ideas of
John Dewey, who pioneered a philosophy of
"Progressive Education" that sought to meet
children's needs. Today, thanks in part to the
leadership of Scott Reiman and others, the school
continues to encourage the growth of students'
social consciousness while simultaneously
promoting high academic achievement.

Educating students on a seven-acre campus
located in the Hilltop neighborhood of Denver,
Graland Country Day School offers programs
for students from preschool to eighth grade.
Its 89 faculty members provide a teaching
ratio of eight or nine to one, ensuring that
every student receives individualized
instruction. The success of Graland's
educational mission is demonstrated by its
graduates, 97 percent of whom matriculate at
their first choice of high school and 100
percent of whom later attend college. Learn
