Bicycling (in the broad sense of the word) - is moving on the
earth using vehicles (bicycles), driven by human muscle force.
Bicycle sport (Cycling) includes such disciplines as race track,
highway, cross country, mountain bike competition in curly riding
and playing ball on bicycles - cycle Polo as well and other Cycling
is also part of such kind of sports as a triathlon. The main goal
of different disciplines - the most fast overcoming the distance.
As a sport, Cycling managed by the International Union for
cyclists, based in Switzerland. In Russia similar functions are
performed by the Cycling Federation of Russia.

7. HISTORY
1869 - the first time there were official competitions. They were
held in France, the distance lay between Rouen and Paris (120
km). Bicycles participants then were wooden. The winner
managed to reach an average speed of about 11 km/hour.
1893 - the first time passed the world championship on the track
(Chicago).
1921 - the first time has passed superiority of the world on the
highway (Copenhagen).
1896 - Cycling included in the Olympic program.
1911-1913 - for the first time made a trip around the world on a
Bicycle (O. Pankratov, Russia)
