4. WORKING PRINCIPLE
n Candles are made of thin corrugated discs loaded on
hollow pipe with holes.
n Compression is maintained on disc with help of springs
at bottom of each candle.
n Housing is divided in 3 sections :
¨ Lower dirty section
¨ Seperator plate
¨ Upper clean dome
n Numerous candles are mounted on separator plate.
n Hollow pipe of every candle opens in Upper clean dome.

5. n Dirty fluid in lower section passes from outer area to
inner hollow tube.
n Dirt accumulates on the outer surface of candle.
n Clean fluid passes through hollow tube to Upper clean
dome.
n Dirt accumulation increases the differential pressure,
triggering Backwashing of entire housing(s).
