2. My Life and Swimming I have been swimming for 13 years. I swam for the same club coach at my home in Marietta, Georgia on the Marietta Marlins. I also swam for my high school team and was captain my senior year. We even won state twice. I am now a freshman swimming on the Marshall University Swimming and Diving Team.
3. My Interest in Swimming I started swimming when I was six years old. My sister started swimming when I was younger and I was always sitting around at her practices and meets. I started swimming along with dancing and soccer. I seemed to like swimming the best, so I stuck with it.
4. Why I Swim I swim because I love it. I feel like swimming is a way I can express myself. Whenever I am having a bad day, I just take it out on the water. Not only does swimming relieve stress, it has taught me good time management skills. Along with time management skills, it has taught me good disciple.
5. My Events In swimming there are four strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, freestyle. I swim every stroke at practice and in meets, but I specialize in breaststroke. I also specialize in IM, which incorporates all four strokes.
