2. Owl city- Take it all away
• The song is about a relationship after it has ended
• The male lead expressing his love for his ex-partner
• He is reminiscing about their happiness , when they were
together
• However now he feels pain
3. Our ideas
• In the beginning, the first scene we chose was of
the couple splitting up. We will use various
camera shots to show the expressions of the
characters faces.
• As the girl walks away we go into another scene
where we show flashbacks of the couples happy
memories together.
• The 2 narratives :One is the past- shows good
times and the other in the present- shows the
after effects of the break up( reality)
4. Inspirations
• We deliberated many hours on what genre our
mv would be based on. We decided to go with
generic pop.
• Songs that relates close to our idea include Gym
class heroes- cupid chokehold & Lawson- when
she was mine.
• Ideas we took from these videos include:
time lapse
black and white imagery
split screening
5. Casting
• We have one male lead and one minor female role
• We decided to choose one person from our group to feature
in the video and the other two will be crew members.
• For the male role, we will hold auditions
• All individuals involved in the film will sign release forms.
