of these high-performance synthetic materials, including our honeycomb

sHock absorPtion & attenuation
Armorweave 3D fabrics provide superior shock absorption and attenuation in a variety of
protective gear applications, including helmets, military vests and body padding. The fabrics’
three-dimensional characteristics allow them to absorb more impact for better body protection.
cusHioning & comfort
Because our 3D fabrics have a very low compression set, they can handle
applications requiring both comfortable cushioning and structure. While most
materials flatten to the “bottom out” point during use, our fabrics provide soft
comfort while maintaining their dimensional stability, and they “remember” their
shape even in continuous load-bearing situations. This makes them ideal for
applications such as seats, aircraft, boats, backpacks and more.

3. ligHt WeigHt
In addition to shock absorption and cushioning, our Armorweave ® 3D fabrics are specially
designed to provide lightweight performance. Because the fabrics feature a unique open
construction, they won’t absorb moisture or get heavy in wet conditions. Plus, they allow
you to reduce the overall weight of virtually any application while enhancing its perfor-
mance. For example, adding Armorweave 3D fabrics to a helmet allows you to use less
heavy foam padding, thus reducing weight while improving protection capabilities.

Without proper airflow, today’s advanced applications can trap both air
and water, and are susceptible to heat gain. For example, while military
gear must provide protection, many soldiers get overheated because
the heat cannot escape. But our Armorweave 3D fabrics’ open material
design creates an airflow channel, which reduces body temperature
while keeping protection at optimum levels.
