Description:
The ISSUE system processes applications which are submitted by agents, requesting insurance
coverage for the customers. System has both on-line and batch process. Application is running
on the Mainframe system and has been built using COBOL, CICS, VSAM and JCL. ISSUE system
has separate applications for BLC and WNIC, they execute independently. ISSUE system has
ability to do below
1. Facilitate entering data from application requesting coverage into the system.
2. Facilitate underwriters to request for additional information for applications and update
application data in the system.
3. Facilitate underwriter to enter their decisions on applications (i.e. either issue or reject).
4. Pass on data to other systems for further processing and maintenance.
5. Produce Policy prints and ID card prints.
