2. PIA members as candidate (s) would be given preference against the
seats available (since seats each year are limited)
3. PhD Fee: 65,000 per year for 3 years duration (exclusive for PIA
members). The duration of PhD is 3 years, with 1 year extension.
Registration fees and exams fees as applicable, apart from 1 year
extension, if necessary
4. The class sessions (which are part of PhD course/ 120 hours for 2
papers) may be arranged on Sundays, since we may get working
executives from PIA. The number would be 10 from PIA, since 10
would be sufficient to have Sunday sessions. Otherwise, usually the
class are on Friday and Saturday

University, during the MOU, will be extended to all the BMA
member students, without financial obligations. In case, any
financial obligations, than mutually discussed and agreed from
time to time
6. 14. In case, PIA members wish to have Research program in other
disciplines not mentioned here, Oppournities would be created for
members in other subjects also, with discussion and availability of
resources in terms of Guides and Lab.
In case of Management and Commerce, a number upto 15 each year, for
next 3+ years would be made available:

7. Supplementary Guidelines for Management Research program
• In the application for PhD program, candidates should specify
– Area of research
– Supervisor/Guide, if discussed with our guides
• If these pre-requisites are met, the candidate will be eligible to take
the entrance test/online entrance test and interview
• The selected candidate will be assigned the guide of his or during
discussion and interview, at the time of selection
• The pre-PhD. courses are compulsory and it will be spread over one
year as detailed in section 5 of the Jain University PhD regulations.
• At the end of the course work, university examination in the four
papers shall be arranged by the university on the university campus
8. • After the successful completion of coursework, literature review
and presentation of the Synopsis of the proposed research work
will take place
• At the end of the successful completion of coursework and
successful presentation of the Synopsis, final registration of the
candidates into the PhD program will take place as explained in
section 6 of the Jain University PhD regulations
• Submission and evaluation of the PhD thesis are as per the Jain
University PhD regulations
• If the candidate feels to have Co-guide from other discipline,
the University would make necessary arrangements, if
guides are available within the University
9. The MOU would be operational for 3+ years, from 2012
August, for Research program. Any modification / additions/
inclusion will be done with mutually consented
All other conditions common for research program, as posted
on University website are applicable as students, per se
