Locating Faults
Visual fault locators are handy devices that help network profession-
als in the field to quickly and economically troubleshoot a fiber optic
network such as fiber tracing, fiber routing and polarity / continuity
checking.
Connect an optical fiber cable to this device and activate. A powerful,
visible red laser is injected into the cable where faults such as breaks,
sharp bends, and poor connections and splices refract light creating a
visible bright glow around the faulty segments.
