I. Health Problem.
I have chosen to complete my final project discussing Human
Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). There are quite a few people
that I know that are near and dear to my heart living with this
virus. There are many misconceptions about HIV that the public
has simply due to unawareness. With most common public
health issues there are many questions that need to be answered
to solve the myths. Mental health and substance use disorders
can also make it difficult for people to take their medications as
prescribed. When HIV is not treated or maintained, it can lead
to the fatal diseases Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome
(AIDS). Of note, you cannot have AIDS without being infected
with HIV. According to the Center for Disease Control, HIV can
affect anyone regardless of sexual orientation, race, ethnicity,
gender, or age (CDC, 2022). However, certain groups are at a
higher risk for HIV and weigh special considerations due to the
specific risk factors. Gay and Bisexual men, pregnant women,
infants, children, Transgender people, people who exchange sex
for money, people who inject drugs, etc. These are all
considerations of the causes for higher risk for being affected
by HIV. However, with the modern medicines and treatments
for HIV, many have been known to live long and healthy lives.
II. Organization.
The organization that I have chosen is the World Health
Organization (WHO). WHO was founded in 1948 and is the
United Nations Agency that connects nations, partners, and
people to promote health, keep the world safe and serve the
vulnerable – so everyone, everywhere can attain the highest
level of health (WHO, 2022). My role in this organization will
be a Public Health Physician. WHO works closely with United
Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on Elimination of Mother-to
Child Transmission (EMTCT) of HIV and pediatric AIDS and
works with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) on the
integration of HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health and
Rights (SRHR). WHO considers the epidemiological,
technological, and contextual trends of previous years, promotes
learning with each disease area, and generates opportuni ties to
leverage innovations and knowledge for efficient responses to
HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STI). Thanks to
awareness and past research, WHO is able to provide a in depth
analysis of the past and current trends of HIV and other STI
through multiple platforms.

Pre-Assessment Checklist: Task 1 - Knowledge Test
The purpose of this checklist
The pre-assessment checklist helps students determine if they
are ready for assessment. The trainer/assessor must review the
checklist with the student before the student attempts the
assessment task. If any items of the checklist are incomplete or
not clear to the student, the trainer/assessor must provide
relevant information to the student to ensure they understand
the requirements of the assessment task. The student must
ensure they are ready for the assessment task before undertaking
it.

· This is the first (1) assessment task you must successfully
complete to be deemed competent in this unit of competency.
· The Knowledge Test is comprised of four (4) written questions
· You must respond to all questions and submit them to your
Trainer/Assessor.
· You must answer all questions to the required level, e.g.
provide an answer within the required word limit, to be deemed
satisfactory in this task
· You will receive your feedback within two (2) weeks, and you
will be notified by your Trainer/Assessor when your results are
available.
Applicable conditions:
· All knowledge tests are untimed and are conducted as open
book assessment (this means you can refer to your textbook
during the test).
· You must read and respond to all questions.
· You may handwrite/use a computer to answer the questions.
· You must complete the task independently.
· No marks or grades are allocated for this assessment task. The
outcome of the task will be Satisfactory or Not Satisfactory.
· As you complete this assessment task, you are predominately
demonstrating your written skills and knowledge to your
trainer/assessor.
Resubmissions and reattempts:

application of the relevant concepts and critical thinking.
· Be concise, to the point and write answers within the word-
limit given to each question. Do not provide irrelevant
information. Remember, quantity is not quality.

Purpose of the assessment
This assessment task is designed to evaluate student’s
knowledge essential to perform construction calculations to
determine carpentry material requirements in a range of
contexts and industry settings and knowledge regarding the
following:
· Knowledge of the types of equipment required for planning
and performing measurements and calculations and their
characteristics, uses and limitations, including calculators
· Knowledge of the methods of using formulas to calculate the
area/volume of the following in a construction environment:
· rectangles
· squares
· circles
· triangles
· trapeziums
· cubes
· cylinders
· Knowledge of the methods of converting measurements in
metres to millimetres and measurements in millimetres to
metres
· Knowledge of the methods of accurately determining
dimensions of materials for construction projects by scaling
requirements from drawings and specifications

Overview: In Milestone Three, you will submit an overview of
the communication tool and media campaign plan. Identify
relevant audiences for your media
campaign and how you plan to interact with them. Provide the
critical information that you need to disseminate to the
population at risk (primary audience).
Identify other relevant audiences (secondary or tertiary) and
discuss how information prepared for them may differ. Discuss
considerations for presenting
appropriate information to the relevant audiences including
elements of health literacy and numeracy (e.g., communication
skills, knowledge, culture and English
language proficiency specific, representative heuristic). Review
research on the theories used to predict persuasion and guide
behavior change that might be
appropriate for communicating this critical information to your
target audience(s) and describe how you will incorporate these
in your communication strategy.
Discuss the communication tool that will be the most effective
for disseminating the information that will be used in your
media campaign (e.g., social media,
news article, report card, PSA). Explain why this tool will be an
effective means of communication for the chosen health topic
with the targeted population.
Discuss legal and ethical standards and policies that must be
considered in developing the media campaign and how these
apply to your population at risk.

meta-analytic study, or a comprehensive organization report.

There are quite a few people that I know that are near and dear to my heart living with this virus. There are many misconceptions about HIV that the public has simply due to unawareness. With most common public health issues there are many questions that need to be answered
  • 2. to solve the myths. Mental health and substance use disorders can also make it difficult for people to take their medications as prescribed. When HIV is not treated or maintained, it can lead to the fatal diseases Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Of note, you cannot have AIDS without being infected with HIV. According to the Center for Disease Control, HIV can affect anyone regardless of sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, gender, or age (CDC, 2022). However, certain groups are at a higher risk for HIV and weigh special considerations due to the specific risk factors. Gay and Bisexual men, pregnant women, infants, children, Transgender people, people who exchange sex for money, people who inject drugs, etc. These are all considerations of the causes for higher risk for being affected by HIV. However, with the modern medicines and treatments for HIV, many have been known to live long and healthy lives. II. Organization. The organization that I have chosen is the World Health Organization (WHO). WHO was founded in 1948 and is the United Nations Agency that connects nations, partners, and people to promote health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable – so everyone, everywhere can attain the highest level of health (WHO, 2022). My role in this organization will be a Public Health Physician. WHO works closely with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) on Elimination of Mother-to Child Transmission (EMTCT) of HIV and pediatric AIDS and works with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) on the integration of HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). WHO considers the epidemiological, technological, and contextual trends of previous years, promotes learning with each disease area, and generates opportuni ties to leverage innovations and knowledge for efficient responses to HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STI). Thanks to awareness and past research, WHO is able to provide a in depth analysis of the past and current trends of HIV and other STI through multiple platforms.
