Sam Funnell visited a store with an attractive purple and pink logo but found the interior dim and uninviting. The staff stayed behind the counter and did not engage customers. The products were within reach but without guidance from knowledgeable sales staff, they were overwhelming. Friendlier staff throughout the store and with product expertise could make the shopping experience more inviting and help increase sales.

2. Purple and pick logo on white attracted me and gave me a sense of excitement
Dim interior gave a less than inviting feeling but products visible in the distance.
Opportunity = brighten the immediate interior to make more inviting

• Staff just stayed behind the counter at the far end of the store and did not
engage.
• Opportunity = friendly staff on floor

4. Products are in easy reach but without a guide they are a bit bewildering to be
impressive
Opportunity = sales staff with expert knowledge readily on hand would help to
sell

5. Only staff on the floor would greet you from the slide when entering the store.
Sort of behaving like a security person. A bit shocking.
Opportunity = friendly staff on the floor would be better.
