Instructions
On the following page is a blank table in script format. The rows number themselves
automatically, so you can insert or delete rows as the project requires by selecting a row or
rows then right-clicking within the selection and clicking on “insert rows or “delete rows”.
You can also move rows by dragging
The Video column is for descriptions of visuals and should include camera directions,
transition descriptions and anything else visually important. You can also insert graphics to
better illustrate or storyboard the script.
The Audio column is for narration, and music and audio f/x descriptions and direction. The
narration should be clearly distinguished from the audio notes (usually the narration in each
scene begins with NARR: and the other audio notes are in parentheses or italics, or a
different color). The point is to make the narration easy enough to spot that the narration
can be read without requiring the reader to search through confusing text. The Audio
column is also set to 1.5 spacing – this leaves room for notes.

her and her friend hugging which
again shows to the audience a
deeper darkness to the relationship

in a pub with friends without
Devon. A close up and extreme close
up of Devon’s eyes is then shown to
portray her emotions to the
audience. The shot then again
dissolves to a medium shot of Devon
looking away into the distance

is pondering on what to do with her
life/relationship.

out on the canal shows a boat going
by which symbolizes everyone else’s
lives going on and continuing
whilst she is stuck in the

to a lit candle which symbolizes
their relationship.The shot is then
quickly cut back to the match and
it is being blown out which
portrays to the audience the end of
Devon and Daniel’s relationship.
The video then shows a clip of
Devon sat with all her friends yet
has her hood up separating herself
from the group and is smoking
again. It then fades to black and
comes back with a medium shot of
Devon miming along with the song.
“And I tread a troubled track.
My odds are stacked ,I'll go
back to black. We only said
goodbye with words, I died a
hundred times. You go back to
her and I go back to…”
4. (1:31 – 2:00) The shot then fades

and conscience and shows her sat
alone in a corner of the room
sobbing into her hands and then
again throwing stuff around and
ripping down things off the walls.

Devon walking back and forward
nervously scratching her arm as
though she is anxious and nervous
and grabbing her head again.
“I go back to us. I love you
much. It's not enough. You love
blow and I love puff, and life
is like a pipe and I'm a tiny”
