TYPES OF INTERVIEW
BY: V SUSMITHA
MBA-1st YEAR
A interview is a meeting between two persons for the purpose of
getting a view of each other.
A formal interview is an interview that consists of
questions designed to elicit specific facts , attitudes and
opinions.
An informal interview is a generally casual , relaxed and
may be conducted in an informal settings.
A job interview is a process in which a potential employee is
evaluated by an employer for prospective employment in their
organisation.
A performance appraisal interview is an interview that conducts
between human resource department or the manager and
employee per year or 6 months or even 3 months.
Counseling interview is an interview designed to provide guidance and
support for the interviewee.
Persuasive interview is an interview that involves persuading others to
do some thing.
Termination interview is a meeting between a management
representative and an employee who is to be dismissed.
Disciplinary interview is a type of information interview that concerns a
sensitive area , where the employee is notified and the disciplinary action
will be imposed based on the outcome.
An exit interview is a survey conducted with an individual who is
separating from the organization.
A conflict resolution interview is an interview conducted between a
management representative and an employee to handle difficult
problems in the organisation.
A media interview is a recorded conversation , usually conducted by
a reporter , in which an individual provides information and
expertise on a certain subject for use in reporter’s article.
 Interview means “view between”.
 Interview is a meeting between two persons for
purpose of getting a view of each other.
 Interviewee have to have to give relevant answers.
 At the end of the interview , thanking the
interviewer will give good impression.
