1. Subsidy(APICOL)
Agricultural Promotion and Investment Corporation of
Odisha Limited (APICOL)
Government of Odisha have lunched APICOL as a special drive to provide self-employment for
unemployed youths. Main objectives of APICOL are:-
1) To provide necessary information regarding the scope of commercial and export
oriented agriculture in the state of Odisha
2) To formulate schemes for bankable projects
3) To identify Entrepreneurs, guide and train them
4) To provide escort services to houses engaged in agri-business
5) To provide incentives under Agriculture Policy for Agro Industries & Food
Processing Industries
APICOL is also the Nodal Agency for the schemes of MFPI and acts as the virtual office of The
Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority
(APEDA) in Odisha which mainly promotes the processing & export of animal products.
The activities/projects are called as Commercial Agri Enterprise under this scheme are
enterprises including horticulture, floriculture, agro based industries, food processing industries,
bio-technology and modern farming techniques. Projects based on Agriculture, Animal
husbandry, fisheries are eligible in this scheme.
INCENTIVES AVAILABLE THROUGH APICOL
Government of Orissa will extend financial assistance in shape of Capital Investment Subsidy
(CIS) up to 33% of the capital cost (excluding cost of land) subject to a maximum limit of Rs.
25.00 Lakhs against each Commercial Agri Enterprise
