Dear Sir / Madam,
I came to know that your organization has announced vacancy for the post of Program Officer
for Human Rights, which is published in Kantipur daily newspaper, on 12 th January 2013. I
propose myself for the same post considering myself as a competent candidate. I am applying
here with this application, Bio-data, Citizenship certificate, academic credentials and reference
from former employee.
I am a young, energetic Madheshi woman of 35 having Nepali citizenship from Madheshi
community. So far as my qualification is concerned I have done my Master Degree in Population
Studies and my main subject was Social Justice, Population Development, Reproductive Health,
and Social Research, which is required subject matters in the given post. I have also enrolled in
PhD and my topic is ‘Status of Madheshi Women in Nepal’, a case study of Parsa district.
I have been a lecturer for ten years teaching population studies especially Population and
Development, Reproductive Health, Social Justice, and Social Research at Thakur Ram Multiple
Campus and Hari Khetan Multiple Campus, Parsa, Birgunj. I am involved in different social
organizations and have actively participated in the democratic movement of 2007 in the country.
I have actively participated in many programs, seminars, workshops related with human rights
and social justice in Nepal. Regarding Human rights program, I have participated in multiple
human right programs conducted by different international organizations as UNICEF, FWLD,
ILO,COCAS, SNV etc. I have also been involved in different Organizations as a trainer and as a

I have visited several Terai and Hill districts of the country and have seen the real condition of
these women, men and children and their role and responsibilities of different caste/ethnicity and
community. I have gathered many experiences as a woman, a mother, a wife, a teacher and as a
social worker. So I want to be able to perform all my roles of an advocator, enabler and
facilitator to the best of my ability. So I can disseminate my ideas and work with team very
easily. This all made me more enthusiastic to work as a Program Officer because it fits with my
career plan to work for Human Rights and more specifically for gender issues.
My experiences as a teacher, trainer and social advisor helped me to work in my own strengths. I
am a passionate task oriented person with excellent communication skills. I value my
commitment to democracy, gender equity, diversity and social justice. I am a self-confident team
player with the ability to make independent judgment and work under pressure. That is why,
without any further delay I have applied for the same post.
