This is an urgent application moved on behalf of
applicants/accused Umar Khalid seeking directions towards safeguarding his
security in the course of remand proceedings on 25.03.2021.
Submissions heard. I have perused the application and the
accompanying annexures.
Ld. Counsel for accused Umar Khalid submits that as reflected
in the order­sheet dated 12.03.2021 of this Court, the stay order passed by
Hon'ble High Court Delhi is no longer in operation and accordingly, the
applicant/accused Umar Khalid is required to be produced before the Court

tomorrow i.e. the date of listing of the present case before this Court.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the present case and
the documents annexed with the application, present application is disposed
off with the following directions :­
i) The concerned Superintendent, Tihar Jail is directed to ensure
the said safety and security aspect of the applicant when the applicant is sent
and received back from the Court including the transit for the purpose of
physical production of the accused on 25.03.2021.
ii) The Incharge, Lock­up, Karkardooma Court as well as the
Incharge, Police Post, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi alongwith SHO, P.S.
Farsh Bazar shall also to ensure the safety and security aspect of
applicant/accused when the applicant is produced in the court from Lock­up.
Both shall coordinate with each other.
Considering the nature of the case, let necessary safety and
security arrangements be made by the Jail Superintendent and the Police
Personnel as regards other co­accused persons who will also be physically
produced before the court tomorrow i.e. 25.03.2021.
Let a copy of this order be e­mailed to the concerned DCP,
Shahdara District, Delhi for instructing the concerned SHO/Chowki

In­charge in this regard.
Copy of this order be sent to the Director General (Prison),
Delhi for necessary directions to the concerned Jail Superintendent. Copy of
this order be also sent to the concerned SHO/Chowki Incharge and the
concerned Jail Superintendent as also to the Incharge­Lock­up,
Karkardooma Courts, Delhi for information and compliance.
Copy of this order be also placed before Ld. District & Sessions
Judge, (Shahdara), Karkardooma Courts, Delhi.
