1. COVER LETTER
I am goaI driven, a team leader who treats every person with dignity and respect irrespective of
race, culture or religion in a professional manner. I joined the South African National Defense
Force (division) South African Air Force on 5th April 1996 and completed my basic military
training on 1 October 1996. After basic training I was transferred to Snake Valley Waterkloof Air
Force Base to commence my training @ the Air Space Control Unit on the Cactus Acquisition
Unit (Radar Operator), OPO (Optical Putter On), visible training on identified Air Plane in our Air
Space) Acquisition Unit & Firing Unit. In the month of April 1997 I was transferred to
Pietersburg Forward Air Command Post to work on the (GCCS) Ground Command and Control
System whereby I gained knowledge in the tasking of Air-plane for operational duties and dealt
with ETD’S (estimated time of departure) and ETA’S (estimated time of arrival) on flight
destination of such Air Plane. I resigned from the SA Air Force on December 28 1999 with the
rank of Corporal. I left for the United Kingdom Dec 29 1999 on a one year tour.
I joined the South African Police Service on March 2001 and proceeded with basic police
training at the SA police training college PTA West. After training I was stationed at border
police O.R Tambo International Airport. I dealt with the identifying of fraudulent documents
working hand in hand with customs and ACSA (Airport Companies of South Africa) as well as
setting up roadblocks to prevent illegal import and export of precious stones, exotic animals
etc. dealing with unscheduled flights according to their flight plans and the declaration of any
belongings on board the flight. I was transferred to Boksburg North SAPS crime prevention in
2003 where I dealt with setting up roadblocks, attending to motor vehicle accident scenes,
visible policing, opening case dockets and attending to serious complaints such as
business/house robberies, business/house breakings, theft, aggravated robberies, shoplifting,
domestic violence, assault common and aggravated, murder and suicide, public violence,
malicious damage to property cases and most by laws. In 2004 I was transferred to the SAPS
Mounted Unit where we most concentrated on visible policing and farm patrols to prevent
stock theft and farm attacks. In 2006 I was promoted to senior constable at Vosloorus SAPS
crime prevention & commenced with normal police duties. I took a transfer to Scottburgh SAPS
in 2008 and was promoted to sergeant and took up the position as CSC commander assisting
the community in the Charge Office, attending to case dockets, documenting occurrences in the
occurrence book in the CSC up to date according to the proper handing over of all the
inventory, official SAPS documents & equipment in working order, to parade my junior
colleagues signing their pocket books and ensuring that they are ready, prepared and neat for
their daily duties in the field and to address them of the criminal activities of the previous day
and criminal hot spots in their specific areas of concentration. In 2009 I took a transfer to
Putfontein SAPS Detective branch investigating crime dockets attending to crime scenes,
tracing and locating and interviewing of witnesses and suspects linked to crime scenes.
2. Attending to court hearings for bail applications of suspects. I was transferred to Kempton Park
SAPS and took the position as sector manager in the industrial area keeping up with my normal
policing duties and attending to industrial and community forum meetings. I resigned from the
SA Police Service in March 2013 with the rank of Sergeant. I worked at GCP Security Group as
investigator from January 2014 in profiling new employees and the investigation of crime on
the different company sites, inspecting guards on sites, providing the guards onsite training
according to site SOP’s (Standard Operational Procedures) of that site, attending to any
incidents (if recorded in the OB) on different sites and to maintain client satisfaction with GCP
Group. I resigned from GCP Group out of own accord on February 2015 the reason is the
company closed. I am currently self-employed in selling Industrial and economic generators,
availability is immediate. I am physical fit with a healthy medical history, I am in possession of a
valid South African passport.
