Editor's Notes
In Arabic cultural traditions, hospitality represents the best attributes of who we are as people, and our hospitality is embodied by our presentation of coffee and dates. Over the centuries, Saudi Arabia has created an enduring “coffee culture” all its own. We now intend to share this culture with the world, as an ambassador for the best traditions of Arabic hospitality.
Saudi King Abdullah has repeatedly proclaimed the importance of Arabs reuniting with their cultural identity. The entire region of the Middle East is going through a kind of cultural identity crisis as we are surrounded by international brands and a growing influence of Western culture. We need to renew our pride in the best cultural traditions of our country and our heritage – and share these traditions with the world.
Saudi Arabia has a unique “coffee culture” all its own – coffee was first roasted and brewed, similar to its modern-day preparation, in southern Arabia over 500 years ago, and Mecca and Medina were part of the earliest trading routes for coffee beans. We want our fellow Arabs to take pride in this shared cultural heritage. We want to be the most profitable and fast-growing authentic Arabic coffee chain in the Middle East, serving as ambassadors of the best traditions of Arabic hospitality and culture – to the rest of our region and the rest of the world.
No other coffee chain on the market is quite like Dallah Café.
Authentic: We are going to introduce the authentic spirit and style of Arabic hospitality – coffee and dates, usually served only to guests in Arabic homes, now available at a public location.
Quality Products: All coffees, teas, dates and spices are sourced from the most prestigious merchants. Whenever possible, we “buy local” from Arabic growers and coffee merchants who meet our exacting standards.
Vision for Growth: We have ambitious plans to expand throughout Saudi Arabia, into the rest of the Middle East region, and beyond – serving as an ambassador of authentic Arabic hospitality and the best traditions of Arabic culture.
Well-funded: Dallah Café is owned by Arabic Hospitality Group, a well-established Saudi-owned and operated hospitality firm with over 20 years of experience
The visual elements of our kiosks are intended to convey approachability, a welcoming atmosphere and a unique sense of place.
Dallah Café workstations are designed for optimum cleanliness, safety and efficiency. Our kiosks will be a welcome addition to any shopping center.
Our modular building design – with similar colors and visual elements as the mall kiosk format.
Our menu is still being developed, but we plan to offer traditional Arabic coffee, premium dates, loose leaf teas, and other styles of coffee including Turkish and Americana drip coffee.
Dallah Café uniforms represent the precision, professionalism and cleanliness of our brand. We are a clean-cut, orderly, well-run company that knows hospitality and is experienced in serving the unique preferences of Arab customers.
From the design of our logo to the flavors served up in our cafés, our brand is thoroughly and authentically Arabic.
