• It was always either wet and cold or hot and dry.
• You always had to be aware of gun shells and gases.
• Rats and mice were always trying to get into your
food.
• Soldiers, engineers and medics were always dying,
so new arrivals weren’t unusual at all.
• There weren’t only soldiers, there were medics and
engineers to.
3. WW1 FACTS
• WW1 started on July 28th 1914 and ended on November 11th
1918.
• The main event that triggered the war was the assassination
of Archduke of Austria, Franz Ferdinand.
• World war one was the first war to use chemical weapons
(Mustard gas, Chlorine gas).
• Over 15 million SOLDIERS were killed from WW1.
• Adolf Hitler (former German leader during WW2) fought in
the German army in WW1.
