is easily adaptable to the environment. She

7. ქეთევანი 71 წლისაა და მოხუცთა
თავშესაფარში ცხოვრობს. რამდენიმე
წელია აღარ შეუძლია თავის მოვლა.
ჰყავს 3 შვილი, მაგრამ მასზე
მზრუნველობა არავინ აიღო თავის
თავზე. მიუხედავად ამისა, მაინც
ბედნიერია, რომ სახელმწიფოს
აღმოაჩნდა სახსრები იზრუნოს მასზე.

Alexander was alienated from the society
when he was still strong and active. Similar to
შესაძლებლობა many his peers, he lost his job, family and abil-
ity to fight against existing challenges. That
was followed by a serious trauma that forced

day, while looking back to his life, he regrets
that he was not able to do anything vital and
achieve his goals. Now, however, he pursues
toward self-realization, learns how to play the
guitar and firmly believes that it’s never too late
to make dreams come true.

Beka is 10 years old. He has speech problems and has some physical disabilities as
well. He is an extremely affable child. He knows very well what it means when some-
thing hurts you.

10. ელენეს ჩვილობის ასაკში დაუსვეს მძიმე დიაგნოზი. 6 წლის
ასაკში მეორე მძიმე დაავადება გამოუვლინდა. სკოლაში ხშირად
ცუდად ხდებოდა, რაც მის მეგობრებსა და მასწავლებლებს აშინებდა.
ელენემ გადაწყვიტა არ ევლო სკოლაში. ახლა უკვე მისი ცუდად
ყოფნის გამო არავის შეეშინდებოდა.
ერთადერთი მეგობარი დედა აღმოჩნდა. ელენე კარგად
ხატავს. დედის დახმარებით, ის კვლავ ცდილობს გააგრძელოს
განათლების მიღება. თვლის, რომ შეზღუდული შესაძლებლობის
მქონე ბავშვებისათვის მნიშვნელოვანი საყრდენი არის
მეგობრული ოჯახი. ოცნებობს, რომ ჩვენს ქვეყანას ჰქონდეს
შესაძლებლობა ფინანსურად დაეხმაროს ასეთ ოჯახებს.

Elene was still a baby when she was diagnosed with a severe disease. At
the age of 6, doctors found out that she had another health problem. While
S being at school, she often felt sick that made her friend and teachers
TIE frightened. She decided to quit from going to school. Now, no one would

M IL be scared because of her sickness. Her only friend is her mother. Elene is
FA good at painting. She still tries to pursue her study and believes that
friendly and supportive family is the most important for children with dis-
abilities. She dreams that our country could provide such families with fi-
nancial support.

11. გოჩა ასეთი დაიბადა. 11 წლის ასაკში ის უკვე ნათლად აცნობიერებდა, რომ სხვებისაგან განსხვავებული იყო
და მის მდგომარეობაში ბევრს ვერაფერს შეცვლიდა. ყველაზე რეალურ გზად მან თვითგანათლება მიიჩნია
და ცდილობდა ამ გზით დაემკვიდრებინა თავი საზოგადოებაში.
ჯერ კიდევ 1975 წელს მან შექმნა ორგანიზაცია, რომელიც შეზღუდული შესაძლებლობების მქონე ადამიანების
საზოგადოებაში ინტეგრაციას ისახავდა მიზნად.
”ჩემი გამოცდილებიდან შემიძლია ვთქვა, რომ დიდ ცვლილებებს ჩემი და ჩემი მსგავსი ადამიანების მიმართ
ვერ ვხედავ,” - ამბობს გოჩა. წლების განმავლობაში ის იძიებდა დონორებსა და გრანტებს. იყო პარლამენტის
წევრი. დღევანდელ ვითარებაში, მას კვლავ სამოქალაქო საზოგადოების იმედი აქვს. ოცნებობს თვითონ
ჩამოაყალიბოს ისეთი ორგანიზაცია, რომელიც შეზღუდული შესაძლებლობების მქონე ადამიანებს
დაეხმარება.
INTEGRATION

Gocha just was born this way. At the age of 11, he already realized that he was different and could not make
big difference in this regard. Therefore, he decided to pursue self-education and find his place in the society.
Back in 1975, he established an organization that fostered integration of persons with disabilities into the so-
ciety. “From my experience, I can say that I do not see substantial changes toward me and people like me, “-
says Gocha. For several years, he was trying to find donors and attract funds. He became a member of the
Parliament. At this point, he still believes that civil society can do a lot for people with disabilities. He dreams
of establishing an organization that would further support persons with disabilities in Georgia.
