PreferredOne will be conducting a 15 minute presentation at the beginning of the meeting and then representatives from PreferredOne, Corporate Health Systems, and Robbinsdale benefit department will be available for questions for the remaining 45 minutes. Since we are not changing insurance providers for 2008 there will not be a formal presentation this year. Only those employees that wish to add or drop dependents from their coverage, or change the current plan they are on need to submit a PreferredOne Change form. If you are not changing anything you do not need to do anything.” (emphasis added) </li></ul>

  19. 19. <ul><li>Explanation: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Our insurance committee held 3 meetings to start employee cost reduction education. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>The district failed to act and did nothing. </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Teaching analogy </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>If we’re self-insured, we deserve usage information. </li></ul></ul>
  20. 20. What we need: An Action Plan <ul><li>The district will develop an action plan to address the dire situation of employee health care premiums in order to maintain the future of the district. </li></ul>
