3. Hallo, please call me Arnold. I’m an interior designer. I also do
plenty of photography and graphic design works as well. I have
graduated from the the course of Interior Architecture and De-
sign, Coventry University in 2018. in Hong Kong, I used to work in
various of interior design firms as part time CAD-man and design-
er for more than two years while I was studying my higher diploma
program in HKU SPACE. I still remember the day I chose art as my
elective subject when I was in high school.
Since then my whole life have been given to arts and designs...
...and music as well.
5. Drapers hall Is a historical
structure built in 1832, in Cov-
entry, UK. It used to be a shelter
during the Second World War.
The building had been abandoned
since after.
The structure had included one
story with a basement. The mas-
sive space would be perfect to
rebuild it into a museum for the
public. And for me, I have de-
signed a sci-fi museum for ado-
lescents who want to know more
about the old sci-fi movies and
get a taste of them.
The topic past futures and pres-
ent futures has been chosen
for my project. Before I start-
ed to work on my project, I have
watched a dozen of sci-fi movies
from the 70s 80s and the 00s 10s.
I have found out an interesting phenom-
enon. The movies from the past were way
more optimistic and happier, such as E.T.,
Back To The Future, The Jetsons... Vice
versa, for the present movies, they are
quite gloomy and they tried to indicate the
distinction of mankind. Wars, pollutions,
overwhelmed science and technology were
destroying the planet...(even the cartoon
Wall E has a deep meaning behind).

6. PAST FUTURE VS PRESENT FUTURE

material: concrete, rusty metal
others: crowed and chaotic.
the movies had inspired me. besides doing past present future and past future, i have tried to combine the initial
elements of both past and present future inti one. i have kept the whole structure in curvy form. which has rep-
resents the past future part , the rusty metal and concrete also related to present future, gloomy and dark.
7. INITAL IDEAS & SKETCHES
These are the first prototypes I
have designed. they are pods for
people to take a rest in it, and
to let the public to get a taste
of how it’s going to be in a mini
spacecraft. At first, I thought
of putting those pods all over in
my structure. But I have given up
the idea because it would be a bit
boring for the visitors. Besides
putting them indoor, it would be
better to put them outside drap-
ers hall, on the backyard. People
can chill and have their own time
in the pods.
9. Skyscraper has rep-
resented prosper-
ous and technology.
To present past and
present future, sky-
scraper is necessari-
ly needed. It’s one of
the most important
element of future.
Therefore, I have de-
signed a tower on my
building. Visitors can
enjoy the view of cov-
entry and to remind
them how beautiful
the world is.
towers with difference materials. Ultimately, I
have chosen the one on the left. it allows peo-
ple to look at the view while walking up the tow-
er.

11. The designs of the skyscraper and the
reception were inspired by the bunker
from Second World War. The curvy re-
ception has agreeably merged with the
entrance and lobby.

13. The aiming target of my museum are adolescents. Instead
of using stairs to the basement, it would be fun to install
slides to slide down. There are two slides in total, to pre-
vent accident, while people are sliding down, a red light
will be turned on. The green light means that you are free
to slide down.
In the coming future, lights can be a media to communicate.
For instance, green means yes and red means no.
INITAL IDEAS & SKETCHES
16. ZONING & CIRCULATION
Reception must be in the cen-
tre of the building. It will be
easier for guiding visitors to
wherever they want.
17. exterior and materials
The render below has showed the entrance and exit of the mu-
seum.
The images bottom are the main materials that I use for the proj-
ect. Concretes and fake rusty metal.
38. project title: THE CONFESSARE
location: Piazza Santo Stefano, Bologna, Italy
date: oct, 2017
project type: Group project
39. The concept behind our design is to break
the wall of miscommunication or the fear
of interaction within our society, In today
world hatred and mind controlling within
the population is overpowering each and ev-
ery individual.
Therefore, as group we have come up with
an idea of a design that will allow strang-
ers to communicate privately and freely
which allows them to perhaps engage their
conversation into a deeper sentimental
confession breaking the wall of silence,
ignorance and fear.
The platform will have a dancing flowy
curved structural that forms a wall, but
yet broken to comply with the concept idea,
the pillar will be made of cantilevered
timber joined by the metal pipes where the
sound will transfer from the speaking
The wall will be located at Piazza Santo Stefano in Bologna, a spec-
tacular place with beautiful architectural of the Seven Churches
that are guarded by the patron Saint of Bologna, “St. Petronio”. It
is a square; a place where allows people to host events and con-
certs. Piazza Santo Stefano represents the heart of the community.
Therefore, we as a group we felt that our wall will be suit the
area and will bring fun and another way of confession near to the
church for people not only to do it in church but instead to open
up to one another.

45. MATERIALS
The decision behind our materials are
based on the location of the weather in It-
aly. The oak timber will bring the natural
feel within the platform and sustain the
aesthetic character of the square.
Cut, etched, and folded PETG plastic
sheets. The thin semi rigid plastic easily
folds and holds geometric shapes. The wall
is easy to assemble and to transport from
one area to another.
